Affiliation: N/A

Ownership: Anyone that can afford it and has a good pair of solid shoes.

Intent: This was created to provide a unique, semi-stealth tool that can be used for many reasons against opponents. I haven't seen any tech so far that is anywhere near this, so I figured that making this might open up a new option in combat and other things.

Model: DYXG-5 Stealth Blade

Type: Retractable double-edged blade

Size: It's typically two inches long, one inch wide, and a quarter inch thick. The size, however, can vary depending on how large the user's foot, or specifically, shoe, is.

Composition: The blade is made out of ceramic.

Range: As far as you can kick, unless you take the shoe off and throw it which is highly impractical in combat.

Description: The DYXG-5 is a stealth weapon designed to be coated in any type of toxin or otherwise harmful chemical. It is custom fitted into the user's dominant foot shoe, and can be unsheathed by the user clicking their toes and then their heels together in rapid succession. It can be retracted by carefully pushing the blade back in on a solid object. The blade itself is rather durable, able to stand against metal and vibro weapons. This weapon is most commonly used by assassins, bounty hunters, and those rich folks looking for some extra concealed protection. It is recommended that the user has shoes that are not easily penetrable, in case of any accidents that may occur.

Not quite sure what you're trying to tell me with that, but if you think this is OP it's really not. Any type of light armor or leather would protect against it, not to mention it's on a shoe and kicks can be easily avoided.

I'm just thinking of what it would be like if I was beaten to the ground and kicked in the gut....

The actual knife wouldn't do much damage, it's only 2 inches long. That's short enough that a kid could take it to school.

Depending on the toxin, yeah, that might do some serious damage. Although to be honest I feel like people are more going to be using this to gain an advantage not outright end a fight.

In real life, yeah, don't get beat up by someone that has this.

As I said it depends on what type of toxin. The knife isn't really that long, not to mention it's hard to get a precise blow when your kicking someone. It's meant to hit a large target (a person) not a specific spot.

Kicking someone in the face with a two inch blade is instant death

Not really.

You're assuming that A) It goes through the skull, and B) It hits the brain.

Even if it did hit the brain, you have to remember that humans can live with a shocking amount of their brain missing, so no, it isn't instant death.

But it would still be a horrible way to die if it does

As I said the blade isn't meant for accuracy anyway. In a combat situation people wouldn't even aim for the face. They would aim for somewhere much more vulnerable like the legs or abdomen.

this seems like it would work well with the saber form Ataru, having a blade your opponent has to watch as you flip around in addition to the lightsaber could be interesting in combat situations.

Just make sure it doesn't hit a lightsaber because it'll be dead meat.

Just putting this out as a disclaimer ceramic is as hard and sharp as metal but doesn't set sensors off. Ask Eli if you want clarification.

This seems like a good way to injury your ankle trying to get the blade out of your targets body, let alone the risk of trying to shove it in.

Again, this of the purpose. It's not meant for stabbing, it's meant for slicing. This isn't supposed to deal lethal damage by the blade, the point is delivering a toxin. Not to mention in combat it would be quite difficult in combat to stab someone with a foot weapon.

You would probably use this to surprise someone. Let's someone is bear hugging you from the front, you can hit them with this and cause them to let you go.
