Edvar could be considered a fairly standard young male of his species. As they spend most of their lives in their skeletal exoskeletons his only defined traits are the unique contours and sockets of his head. When his eyes are uncovered they appear slitted and sunken in on deep grey skin. Like all of his kind, he can produce dark grey air tight skin coverings over his eyes, nose, ears and mouth to protect him from vacuum. He often wears long, seemingly oversized earthen toned robes, a cultural mark of his role as a diplomat of sorts to what most would consider known space.
ATTRIBUTES:
Being a Givin, Edvar has a few inherent gifts. His mind is incredibly mathematically gifted to the point that he can make hyperspace jumps without the assistance of a navigational computer. Also, assuming he has taken the time to generate the air tight coverings for his facial openings he can survive in the vacuum of space, or any atmosphere for that matter. He does however lack raw strength as his skeletal, vacuum adapted form lacks much of the muscle mass that would be found on an equivalent human. One of his biggest inherent flaws or gifts, depending on his situation, is his exotic species and skeletal form. Superstitious folk have mistaken him for Death itself, good news if they are spaceport thugs bad news if Edvar simply wants to meet and interview the new neighbors. As such he often doffs his facial coverings when in social situations, despite the weak spots this creates.
Givin also have an unusual posture and gait. There idle stance has the hands raised up and they appear to be holding their legs slightly ahead of them while walking. This unusual stance provides an edge in a knife or fist fight but the leaning gait causes balance issues. This makes tripping or outrunning the Givin relatively easy. He is relatively slow even at a full sprint. His physical weaknesses are countered by his mental strengths, ideally he would never be caught off guard by a fight, and would have time to prepare, escape from, or disarm the conflict. In a fight or flight situation, his mind would be calmly rushing with probability and logic to find a way to win or escape, rather than flooding his adrenal glands with hormones.
PERSONALITY:
Edvar is rather melancholic and introverted. He is full of self doubt and tends to pessimistically fear the worst. This doubt has saved him numerous times during his travels but it has also alienated possible allies due to him not taking the first step. He is able to put on the grand performance of being an emissary of Yag’Dhul but it is very much a performance, and a draining one at that. He is also intensely loyal and conservative, as the mission he has been given by the Body Calculus, his government, is his first priority, even before his own health and safety. This tunnel visioned approach to his journey has led him to be mostly oblivious to the greater conflict occurring in the galaxy, as he only considers its intricacies when they get in his way of charting and documenting this region of space. He often will seek out a quiet place in a cantina or park while in port to relax and recuperate his stressed and tired psyche.
Once he begins to trust a fellow sentient a very different side of him shows. While he is loath to pronounce one a “friend” with any sort of haste, he is intensely supportive and loyal to the people he has become well acquainted. And once they become his “friend” he would die for them without a second thought. The few “friends” he has made on his journey find frequent holonet messages and long rambling holocalls to be a pleasantly frequent occurrence. While amoung such folk he talks long and earnestly about whatever crosses his mind, and can be quite the humorist while he is at it. To the galaxy he is a tired introvert, to friends he is a lively and intensely loyal companion.

Edvar Hallo was born a quarter century ago 3 minutes after his twin sister, Sren. The two were born into a bureaucratic family in Yag’Dhul City, the capital of the newly unified Givin homeworld. Their parents were members of the Body Calculus, the governing body of the planet and the two were quickly groomed for jobs in the service of that institution. That did not prevent the two from having a typically close and intimate childhood that only twins, of any race, can experience. Extroverted, commanding Sren was the public face, while quiet thoughtful Edvar often planned their escapades. The two were never traditionally schooled, rather they were educated by a series of tutors, some from the distant Sith Empire. One such tutor, a Human woman named Narsa, was assigned to teach the pair Basic and Galactic history. She was quietly replaced when her dark sided nature became apparent, but not before hse imparted a wanderlust for the distant core worlds in young Edvar. Sren was thoroughly disgusted by the “naked ape witch.”
When the time came for the ceremonial examinations that mark adulthood in Givin culture, the pair were split in their results. Sren was taken as an aide by a member of the Body, quickly being groomed to take her mother's place in the group. Edvar was given a more unique job. He was appointed to be an Emissary of The Grand Logician, their head of state, to the core and beyond. He was understandably overjoyed with the task, as his wanderlust had never left him. However, outwardly he took the robes with great solemnity. He was equipped with a gear that would be considered exquisit by a Wild Space world’s standard, despite its seemingly cheap quality. His sister presented him with a Givin Number Chaplet before his departure, a possession he treasures and meditates upon daily.
He has been exploring and charting what most would call known space for 3 years now, and he has made several contacts. However, he intends to find rest and maybe a new set of allies as he enters Imperial Space proper. Whether among fellow wandering souls, the agents of the Empire, or even the bizarre Mandalorian warriors who rule the region.

Where Edvar is melancholic and conservative Sren is a choleric pragmatist, often speaking for the both of them when together. The two cannot remember a time when they bore hard feelings for each other as they have such different personalities and career paths so as not to compete. Sren has continually warned her brother of the political strife further coreward, but Edvar has paid little heed. The Grand Logician has sent him to chart and explore the galactic core and north, so he will do so, Supercommandos and Sith be damned. Even so, this recent disagreement has done very little to their bond.
