While President Marco Lombardi handled the European war effort and domestic efforts in the homeland, Italian Prime Minister Lorenzo Stefanelli was flying around the world - primarily to North African and European states - to meet with other governments about the growing threat of the Communistic east.
Prime Minister Stefanelli's private jet, an independently owned and operated Piaggio P.180 Avanti jet, landed in Cairo International Airport, terminal two, at 0900 hours. Flanked by two undercover CISR agents who were posing as secretaries, the Prime Minister and his aides walked off the boarding ramp and waited for a few moments to prepare for their meeting with the Egyptian representative. The Italian Prime Minister arranged to be escorted to the meeting place by a small convoy, where he would meet with the Egyptian heads of state.
After several moments, a convoy did indeed arrive at the airport with the sole purpose of bringing the Prime Minister to his destination. Without a word, the Prime Minister and his guards made their way into the vehicle toward the diplomatic meeting area. Once they had arrived, Stefanelli and his aides waited outside for several moments, hoping to be showed inside.
