He has basic technical knowledge and can repair his own ship but is not overly well versed in slicing or other more educated technical areas. He is strong and capable and can hold his own with the most dangerous of foes, or when applicable, escape the more powerful ones.

PERSONALITY:
Hardin is strong willed and cock-sure. He has on multiple occasions been in trouble with galactic authorities but has managed to talk his way out of most conflicts. Elijah and his best friend Dan-L make a point to see who's wit is sharper and who's mind keener. The Morellian has a knack for starting confrontations when someone doesn't understand his specific brand of humor. He is sharp tongued to his advesaries and smooth lipped to his would be suitorettes. He despises authority and believes strongly in individual freedom and liberty. Always the first to crack wise and make light of a situation, he does however posess a noble heart and strong emotional fortitude.

BIOGRAPHY:
Elijah Hardin was born to a relatively modest family. They had served the Morellian Enforcers almost as an acting sherrif dynasty on Morellia. While the pay was never very good, they made do with what they had. Even in so far as seeing that Elijah received degrees in History and Political science from Commonwealth University. He was an expert swordsman and captain of his collegiate fencing team. Harding's uncle taught him the ways of the sword and Elijah broke into the greater galactic center through making a name for himself as a world-class fencer. Also competing but attaining no substantial titles as a marksman. Hardin was never one for combat but living in wild space makes for many opportunities to prove ones worth when defending ones home against pirates and raiders.

When Morellia vied for assistance from the Sith and was denied before a looming pirate raid, Harding lost faith in the Sith or the Jedi's ability to effectively govern and protect the inhabitants of the Outer Rim and Wild Space. His family and his planet, forced to pay protection money to the Black Sun, Hutts, or whatever other crime syndicate that had bested the 'Enforcers' at the time, was thrown into poverty. He personally led a rebellion against the occupying force and was then ordered by the Morellian Commonwealth's Parliamentary Assembly to seek out the rebellion and secure the Commonwealth's entry into an alliance when the time was right.

I'd consider expanding upon what exactly Elijah did and has since been doing when the Republic fell to the Sith Imperium. Where exactly the rank of 'Captain' comes from I think could also do with some elaboration: Is he a captain within the Rebellion (which I would assume is equivalent to 'Commander' and thus would need permission from Loco) or within the Enforcers?

Hey! First of all; Welcome to the site!

I have just a few things to bring to your attention:

Characters generally begin at the lowest rank of the faction when first joining, unless given special permission. So, for the Rebellion that would have to be Member.

For the Force Powers section, you're going to have to be extremely careful with the predict and react thing. If you use that to ensure a way that your character is never harmed while RPing, especially during PvP, that will be considered meta-gaming and multiple offenses of this lead to banning.

The last thing is that in his biography, it makes mention of of the Galactic Republic, which at this time has been destroyed, replaced with the New Sith Empire, which thus prompted the creation of the Rebellion. Be sure to read up on the site's history!

Force sensitivity is not an issue, I always play very fair, I've lost plenty, gotten my licks and been RPing on and off for about 11 years now. Good god, used to do it on Myspace back in the day. I'm a big fan of losing, I feel it makes my character stronger. However, I also fight hard in meta and ooc to ensure that me and fellow RPers work out story lines before posting. As to who wins or loses, based on posts, I like to leave that for tournaments, the rest I like scripted. Unless it's an essential battle, at which point naturally, I play for the team.

As for gunslinger inspiration, He's not Roland so much as he's Elijah Bailey from Asimov's Robot Series. More of a detective with a hint of Mal Reynolds. Name is a nod to Bailey and Salvor Hardin from Foundation. Lots of other inspirations to him but don't you worry, have all my fingers.

The Rebellion have a loose ranking structure, so being a captain of the Rebellion can mean numerous things. Of course all members have to start at the bottom, so they can gain experience as they work their way to the top but if you want to be a Captain, you can ask Loco/ Cortan what Captain you want to be. Do you want to be a Captain of a military unit or a fighter squad? There are numerous posibilities. I know someone who has a character in the Rebellion and he leads a squadron but his character is still a Member(A Member is the lowest rank in the Rebellion).

Other than that, you have a good solid character. Also welcome to the site and the Rebellion. Always good to see a fellow Rebel.
