Affiliation:
Former Republic Commandos, possible in rich mercenary/bounty hunters possessions. (excess stock was sold on paramilitary market)

Ownership: Gavin Cain

Intent: This armor is his personal armor from when he was in the war that lost his leg. The armor is designed to help explain how he was able to stay alive even after having lost his leg. This armor is also being created as well to act as this timelines equivalent of clone commando armor, while keeping the armor itself fitting to this timeline.

Model: Ranger Class - ION armor (Infantry Operations/Networked)

Weight: 33kg ~ 73lbs

Composition: composite plates of duraplast, durasteel, and a plastoid coating. Critosis reinforced forearm armor(both forearm). Body suit is made out of insulated armorweave

Rating: Heavy: Chest and Head rated at 3 blaster hits, arms and legs at 2 hits. forearm armor is rated at 1 lightsaber strike

Description:
The Ranger class ION armor was created specifically for front line commando units and was tailored to their needs. The idea behind the armor was to provide maximum protection to allow the Commando units to fulfill their mission as force multipliers. The general template of the armor starts with the armorweave body suit. This suit is designed to connect into the armors small computer to help control the temperature of the suit in cold and heat The suit comes with small air tourniquet that can slow the blood flow to the arms and legs if need to buy a medic the time needed to try and stop extreme bleeding. The suit also holds a small amount of basic bio sensors that feed users heart rate and breathing rate to the squad as a whole. Built on top of that is the plates and their internal harnesses.

The design of the plates allow it to be fairly easy to move around in for a set of heavy armor. The downside to this is when in a proper sitting position it can be very unpleasant as the way the plates slide over one another can cause painful pinching at times. The plates are coated in a grey plastoid cover that reduces the glare of the armor at night allowing it to better blend in at night. T On the back is a small powerpack that runs the computer housed in the helmet as well as powering the sensors and environment controls in the body glove. Also found on the back is one of the two only mag attach points on the armor. The other being found on the right side thigh plate, though there are kits to change that to the left side for offhanded shooters.

Lastly is the helmet, the heavily armored visor is made out of transparent duraplast and is well protected against blaster shots and is able to polarize to protect sight but is not quick enough to completely stop the effect of flash bangs only enough to deaden the effects. The helmet also comes with a basic thermal filter that can switch between white and black hot and even includes a lackluster camera. The helmet also includes the ION system which allows each member of a liked squad to see the basic bio rates of each other as well as open a small screen to view a camera feed from another squadmate. Lastly the helmet includes a secure commlink with average military comms range as well as an external speaker to allow the user to communicate with the outside world and audio sensors to hear it. The helmet when attached to the complete armor is protected against most non corrosive gases and smoke. The suit itself is rated for 45 minutes of hard vacuum and can keep the wearer relatively comfortable in temperatures up to 40c(105f) or down to -20c(-5f).

Features(LT;DR):
  • Body Glove:
    • climate control -20c to 43c (enough to help keep the user from getting heatstroke and to help prevent hypothermia)
    • bio sensors to read heart rate and breathing rate of wearer
    • small air tourniquet in upper arms, upper thigh, and just above the knee. (good enough to slow blood loss for short periods of time, few mins max)
  • Armor/Plates
    • 2 magnetic attach points, one on back the other on upper right thigh.
      • kits available to move it to left side
    • back mounted powerpack on back to run armor systems as well as HUD
    • Sealed in vacuum for 45 min when with helmet
  • Helmet
    • basic re-breather and smoke/toxin filter (non corrosive)
    • Heads up display /w thermal vision filter
    • ION system for squad data and video dissemination(shares a basic read out of heart rate and can share video from another linked suit
      • camera's have average image quality, and a very limited broadcast range of 50-100m depending on terrain)
      • basic military secured comm link system
    • auto polarization of the transparent visor, not enough to stop the effect of a flashbang but enough to lessen the effect
    • external speaker and audio sensors to allow user to better hear surroundings or communicate with others (audio sensitivity is similar to what the wearer would hear without the helmet on)
  • Misc
    • additional attachment options for additional equipment come in the form metal clips that can be used to attach from one plate to the next or the standard webbing and harnesses most commonly used.
      • This is to allow the user to carry additional mags weapon holster, grenades and the such. The suit can not be upgraded to handle additional computer/electronic equipment like scanners, sensors and so forth.

This armor is also being created as well to act as this timelines equivalent of clone commando armor, while keeping the armor itself fitting to this timeline.

So to clarify, is this armor stock or a personalized work? Because this will impact how it is judged, and I'm getting indications of it being both

Model: Ranger Class - ION armor (Infantry Operations/Networked)

Weight: 33kg ~ 73lbs

Composition: composite plates of duraplast, durasteel, with a reflec/plastoid coating. Critosis reinforced forearm armor. Body suit is made out of insulated armorweave

Another question is raised here; is cortosis reinforcing a forearm or the forearms?

Rating: Heavy: Chest and Head rated at 3 blaster hits, arms and legs at 2 hits. forearm armor is rated at 1 lightsaber strike

Description:
The Ranger class ION armor was created specifically for front line commando units and was tailored to their needs. The idea behind the armor was to provide maximum protection to allow the Commando units to fulfill their mission as force multipliers. The general template of the armor starts with the armorweave body suit. This suit is designed to connect into the armors small computer to help control the temperature of the suit in cold and heat Also in extreme circumstances, medics can cause the body suit to act as a tourniquet by inflating small air bags around the knee, upper thigh or the upper arms. This is only intended to buy the medic time to properly stop the bleeding. The suit also holds a small amount of basic bio sensors that feed users heart rate and breathing rate to the squad as a whole. Built on top of that is the plates and their internal harnesses.

Each plate is designed to allow for maximum mobility to the user, most plates either slide over or under one another to allow for nearly full range of motion. The downside to this is when in a proper sitting position it can be very unpleasant as the way the plates slide over one another. The plates are coated in a reflec plastoid coating that helps obsure the armor for passive sensors at long range but is all but useless at medium to close range. The coating itself is light and cause the armor to be a medium grey in color instead of the traditional black of a full reflec coating. On the back is a small powerpack that runs the computer housed in the helmet as well as powering the sensors and environment controls in the body glove.

Should the glass be ruptured the helmet can seal it by lowering closing an airtight seal of regular armored duraplast(can be done at any time by wearer). At this point the user is forced to user the thermal night vision filter(can change from black hot to white hot) or the somewhat lackluster camera's mounted on the helmet. The helmet also includes the ION system which allows each member of a liked squad to see the basic bio rates of each other as well as open a small screen to view a camera feed from another squadmate. Lastly the helmet includes a secure commlink with average military comms range as well as an external speaker to allow the user to communicate with the outside world and microphones to hear it. The helmet when attached to the complete armor is protected against most non corrosive gases and smoke. The suit itself is rated for 45 minutes of hard vacuum and can keep the wearer relatively comfortable in temperatures up to 43c(110f) or down to -20c(-5f).

Okay, so not only do you have way too many features, but several are much too advanced for the timeline. Ebb em down, bro, either altering the capabilities or eliminating features, and you should be good. I've bolded what features I'd suggest be altered or taken out.

Features(LT;DR):
  • Body Glove:
    • climate control -20c to 43c (enough to keep the user from getting heatstroke and to help prevent hypothermia)
    • bio sensors to read heart rate and breathing rate
    • small air tourniquet in upper arms, upper thigh, and just above the knee. (good enough to slow blood loss for short periods of time few mins max)
  • Armor/Plates
    • light reflec coating - only good against passive scanning at long range
    • articulated plates for good range of motion
    • 2 mag attach points, one on back the other on upper right thigh.
      • kits available to move it to left side
    • back mounted powerpack on back to run armor systems as well as HUD
    • Sealed in vacuum for 45 min when with helmet
  • Helmet
    • cameras for when helmet's armored visor is down or sharing camera feed. (average image quality, limited broadcast range ~100m)
      • auto polarization of the transparent visor, not enough to stop the effect of a flashbang but enough to lessen the effect
    • basic re-breather and smoke/toxin filter (non corrosive)
    • Heads up display /w thermal nightvision filter
    • ION system for squad data and video dissemination
    • basic military secured comm link system
    • external speaker and microphone to allow user to better hear surroundings or communicate with others

Per previous analysis; there's way too much here dude. You need to reduce this by a lot

This will not fit in under the new tech rules currently being developed. You can resubmit after the timeskip when the rules are released, sorry about that, mate.
