Atraxis was right. Alesha couldn’t just spend her time here in a bar talking about her problems, she needed to face them head on. As scared as she was, Alesha was still a Mandalorian; nobody, not even the Sith could take that from her. The woman closed her eyes, imagining the family she’d lost, promising them to retake her heritage and her honour. She silently vowed that when she donned her Beskar once again, she’d do so without fear and reprehension. The Sith had killed the four people she lived the most, and for that they’d pay. Before her life ended, she would kill four Sith and collect their lightsabers as a reminder of her righteous vengeance.
Eying her new companions and listening to Tsara and Atraxis’ conversation, Alesha realized that on the same day she’d encountered three of the Force-wielding sorcerers she’d head stories about as a child, including two Sith. She was outnumbered three to one, confirming her suspicions that this wasn’t a coincidence or cosmic joke. How it was arranged, she’d never know, yet Alesha sent a silent prayer to the war god of her people, Kad Ha’rangir. However, the Mandalorian appreciated Tsara’s help and Atraxis’ non-Sith style, but the same couldn’t be said for their other drinking buddy. When Tsara made Alesha a job-offer, the woman moved to answer but was cut off by the newcomer, further irritating her. Maybe, if the chips fell just right, her first Sith blade would come sooner rather than later, possibly as soon as this new job offer.
“Tsara, I’d be honoured to help you out, plus I need to get myself back into action. It’s not enough to deal with here; like Atraxis said,” she stated, nodding affirmatively to him from next to Tsara, “I need to confront my demons head on. For me, that lies in my armour and the scope of a sniper rifle. I’ll join you in this mission.”
As much as she wanted to, Alesha stayed out of any further flirting with the two individuals; it was clear Atraxis and Tsara had something together, and Alesha wasn’t getting strong signals from either of them. Then again, if there was anything this evening had taught her it was that anything was possible. Then there was the other Sith she was contemplating killing at a later date. So far, it seemed she was out of luck, as she’d been for a while.
