Hello! How's everyone? New player here--I'm a general geek who loves his music, movies and video games. I've loved Star Wars since I was a baby and when I found this site, I knew I had to get myself on board. I'm the kind of guy who likes to know the ins and outs of what he's doing so I could appreciate any advice I can get and am willing to ask every kind of question to get it. I hope I'll have a fun time here.

Additionally, @Padmé , the admin in charge of new members and all that swirl may probably send you a message with additional info and help if she can, so be on the lookout for that.

Salut! I'm burning my way through the role-playing rules already and it's a lot to take in. That being said, I'm sure I'll be able to retain at least 10% of all that information; may reduce my question count by 5. Thank you!

No need to memorize them or anything like that. I'm sure most of us also retain a pretty low percentage of them; it's useful, however, to keep them close for reference or if a sudden doubt regarding what you can/can't do arises.

Well, that would eliminate a lot of reading. I just read up on the story outline and it seems like it's kind of fresh. Has this timeline been up for that long or am I going to find out I'm wrong a few moments after I post? What can I expect in general from the big 3?

Our current timeline started on February 21st of this year, so yeah, it's relatively fresh, even if there are already a bunch of IC threads and things going on; don't feel intimidated. Start by creating a character and feel free to jump in in any thread with an [OPEN] prefix or ask for permission to join in on an [ASK] thread to it's creator. Also, feel free to get together with someone and start your own thread.

I'm assuming that by "the big 3" you mean the three main factions? If so, checking out the respective faction pages of The Republic, The Sith Brotherhood and last but not least, The Jedi Knights. Feel free to post any questions you have about a faction in the respective faction's OOC board, or message a member of that faction's leadership.

Don't rule out us indie players quite yet man. We have some pretty fun times... ;) that being said i have a Jedi character and the rpers are slow as molasses. Just sayin' :D
