Family Duel

[Tristyn]

This was just another quick brother and sister lightsaber duel to brush up on some Jedi fighting skills that Tamara was really eager for. She smiled and assumed her highguard Ataru stance and activated her lightsaber.

"You ready, bro? I'll let you go first this time"

[Algarus]

Cain took up his Djem So stance, but used his Juyo blade grip as he held his amber colored blade. His mother had drilled him in mostly lightsaber combat, but his understanding of the forms and their utility was higher than his sisters; a fact he had made sure to conceal from her. "Okay Tammy, but you can't go crying to dad if I beat you again." He flicked his braid behind his neck as he lowered his stance, giving the illusion of an opening as he dashed towards his twin. He came in with a horizontal slash aimed at her waist, as knowing Tamara's prefered style he waited for her counter to his first attack.

 

[Tristyn]

"No one's watching, you don't have to lie"

Tamara stood her ground as he approached and blocked his attack by angling her blade over her head and pointing to the floor. SHe pushed his saber away and tried her hardest to kick him in the stomach, then she would bring her blade up and over her head to slash him from the top.

 

[Algarus]

Smiling slightly as his first blow was parried, Cain turned to the side just as his sisters foot sailed past him. He pulled back and slashed towards the upper half of her body, seeing as how she was preparing for an overhead strike. He turned and threw his weight into the next blow as he spun to his left and whipped his blade towards her. With any luck, he would at least be able to stop her from finishing her strike and use his momentum to knock her block attempt aside.

 

[Tristyn]

Her attack was much faster than he could've seen, and as soon as her blade came down, Cain attempted to slash her but was parried. He swirled around and attacked again from the side, she dove forward to dodge his attack and rolled up again. She turned around and did a somersault over him, aiming her saber for his head as she jumped.

 

[Algarus]

Cain's eyes widened as his sister avoided his swing and rolled of to his side. He came to a stop with some effort right as she began to flip over him. He noticed her violet blade angled off toward his neck as she hurled herself over him. He brought his golden blade up to met hers, his eyes locked on to hers as she was now directly above him; her weapon moving to strike at him.

 

[Tristyn]

Tamara's blade managed to connect with her brother's failed attempt to block. Good thing it was set to stun, otherwise half his face would be cut in half. She landed, turned around and began to laugh it am,"Oh well! You're dead!" She loved to have the edge on her brother.

"Come on! the score is still 63/59! You are lagging behind!"

 

[Algarus]

Cain saw the blur slide past his blade and winced as the stun setting of the saber set off his nerves. He looked up at his sister and only shook his head with a cocky grin. "I dont know what your talking about slugmo, its 63 to 62, being older is worth 3 points." Cain rolled his shoulders and got back into his stance. "Dont make me get the water tank after this." he held back a laugh, knowing how much his sister hated it when he did that.

 

[Tristyn]

Her eyes narrowed in annoyance, recalling what had happened a few days ago regarding a rude awakening,"Do that again and I'm taking my lightsaber off stun"

Since her brother clearly wasn't going to move any time soon, she decided it was her turn to strike. She Force dashed so that she was right in front of him in just over a second. She would swing wide into his left side, with a deadly amount of force.

 

[Algarus]

Before Cain could reply he felt a wave pulse in the force as his sister darted at him, he reacted as his mother had taught him and fell to his right as everything seemed to slow down. He swung to right back into his twin as they fell away from one another again.

 

[Tristyn]

Tamara expected her brother to dodge, and then struck at her back, but when she raised her saber up behind her it was too late. She got struck in the back and tumbled to the floor. She quickly got up, looking a bit like a sore loser, and immediately tried to hit back at him. She used the Force to pull him in closer and then swung her blade up, as if to cut him in two.

 

[Algarus]

Cain smirked as he felt his blade tag his sister, but as he went to get up, he felt the floor begin to shift from under him. He looked back and saw his sister begin to pull him towards her and threw back a force push of his own to halt the progress as he brought his saber up to block.

 

[Tristyn]

The force push that she received pushed her initial strike away, but when he weirdly tried to block, she ducked and swept him to the floor.

 

[Algarus]

Cain let out an 'oof' as his sister connect another blow and sent him back a little. He lifted himself up and smiled smugly as he took up the 'Falling Avalanche' stance. He took one step forward, before force leaping toward his sister, as he pulled back his saber and prepared strike at her.

 

[Tristyn]

She didn't want to hurt him that badly, because she knew she would but Ataru was her style. She liked being aggressive, and her brother uses the more defensive style of fighting, so for him to use a move like that really put him in a bad situation. While he was in mid air, she used her one hand to pull both of his hands forward so he couldn't move them while she swung her blade up as he would fall face first.

 

[Algarus]

Cain felt the pull of force upon him as he neared Tamara. It took all his strength to kept his hands in place, and finally let go as he got into his ideal position. His blade slammed into her left side as she nearly clipped him with her own blade. He landed hard and scambled back to his feet; iritated that his attack had been so clumsy. "Its 107 to 92 sis, you need to catch up."

 

[Tristyn]

Tamara brushed off the area of the sting and and brought up her lightsaber and assumed her stance again. She almost shrieked when she heard what he said,"WHAT!?!?!? Liar!"

She brought her blade down, and then behind her as she began to run for him. She spun around to gain momentum and tried to strike at his head again.

 

[Algarus]

Cain was almost caught by surprise as his sister let loose a shout and dashed towards him. Cain swung upwards with a sideways block, intending to knock her blow away and allow him to possibly disarm her. He cackled as he swung to stop her blow. "Search your feelings you know it to be true!"

 

[Tristyn]

"Oh shut up!", her strike was parried, but she quickly swirled around in attempt to land another sideways blow to his head and then down at his lower body. In all in the space of three seconds.

 

[Algarus]

Seeing Tamara spin around and come back in with two different attacks, Cain preformed a quick florish as he flipped the blade back around as he tried to block one swing and dodge the second.
