Basic description of the starting location: The thread starts out the morning of the harvest festival in the village of Jalik's Crossing. The festival is the high point of the year for the relatively poor village and people have come from around the region to attend.

Characters: They can either be from the village and surrounding areas or just traveling through. In general, keep it to what could be considered a "level one" character. Below you can enter a brief description and basic info for your character for the others.

Abilities: Average with a sword and bow. Minor Healing magic and medicine.

Equipment: Sword and Holy Symbol (worn around his neck)

Backstory: Relin's parents were killed in an ambush by Orc Raiders from the north. He was taken in by the village priest and raised in the small church dedicated to Pelor. He was taught the basic's of being a cleric by the elderly priest who raised him in hopes to one day go to a larger temple to study further.​

Abilities: Adept swordsman, uses sword and shield combination or two-handed grip, skilled in survival in and out of combat

Equipment: Longsword (or “bastard sword”), heater shield, dagger x2

Backstory: Cadrian is from the town of Vineswick located about fifty miles west of Jalik’s Crossing. An orphan, he was trained as a knight in the castle Oakenhall, the seat of House Bronzewood over Vineswick. Bereft of surname, he decided to make a name for himself by becoming a hedge knight. No mere mercenary, Cadrian began forging a circuit of service to lords and lessers as he wandered the lands, letting his sword lead the way.​

Backstory:
Date: 3E, two Eras since Kairo defeated the Nightstalker.
Location: The Province of Angair, within the borders of the Tempest Dynasty. The ruling monarch at the time is His Royal Majesty Elysio Vendalias Tempest, First of his Name, Stormlord of the North, Ruler of the Kingdom of Silver and King of the Tempest Dynasty. Soon to be adoptive father to one Aurius Tempest...


Brand was born to a lowborn elven family (Highborn Elf, but not pureblooded) deep in the densely populated forest of the Great Lornwood, some three hundred leagues from the capital of the province, Silverwind. The Northern Edge, specifically, guarding the gap between Kaer Carwin and the Mountains Beyond Which Many Threats May Roam. Leading into the province of Oakenvale, a place cursed by dark magics, the duty of the Lornwood Elves was to guard fast the border.

It was in this capacity his parents fell in battle, and he refused his calling, instead taking to wander the lands alone.

Brand earned his name the only way one could. By wandering. Humans and elves alike, though rare their interactions, began to speak of this mysterious stranger who appeared when times seemed bleakest. He didn't have any place to call home, or any people to call family; he lived to sustain himself and discover all the wonders of life. His personal moral compass is incredibly strong, however, and he finds himself helping those in need more often than he would like. And that is what led him to you.

Abilities: Expert in medicine for someone her age; outstanding with a dagger

Equipment: 1 steel dagger; assortment of potions/alchemical liquids for medicine and more; patched-together coat

Backstory: Born and raised in Jalik's Crossing, with little else to do but follow in her parents' footsteps and live out a boring life as an apothecary selling potions that barely work. Turned to experimenting with chemicals to create better medicine. Reclusive and shy to many, especially after the hanging of her mother in the name of witchcraft.

Backstory: A mysterious wandering sorceress; whilst her origins unclear, the rumours are plenty. Some say she is a descendant of deities, a star made flesh. Others murmur of elvish roots. The fact remains, Morgana is a woman of curiosity. She has spent the better part of her adolescence travelling. Her thirst for knowledge knows no bounds; she has swam with mermaids (who nearly drowned her) and feasted with dwarves. She owes allegiance to no one, though her loyalty can be gained. A friendship with her lasts a lifetime, if one can tolerate her intemperate moods.

The wandering witch has only recently returned from her voyage in the East; she has a tale or two to tell, one can be certain of that...

Backstory: The Lost Woods is a massive span of forestry that stretches end to end across several different provinces. Nested deep within the forest is a village of elves that were long ago exiled by the highborn elves of Silverwind, Great Lornwood. A small village of independent elves, the people have adapted to a life of relative peace away from the greater ongoings in the world around them. Elsmira is an orphan, having lost both her parents in the great war of the elves. During a crisis in the past, she was found as a child by a wandering elf from the village and was raised according to the wood elf customs. She has no real idea of her past or who her parents were, but she trains hard to become one of the best rangers in her village, dreaming about glory and a life beyond the edge of the Lost Woods, a line of thinking that's considered dangerous in her village.

ABILITIES: Cheap Shot/Backstab. Adept at thieving things, pick pocket, pick lock..etc.

EQUIPMENT: Rusty Short Sword, 2x daggers, Short Recurve Bow/Arrows, and Goblin sized Satchel.


HOME TOWN: The Old Mine

BACKSTORY: A runt even by goblin standards, Muck was born the fourth child of twelve. His large family was once part of a far larger village resting in the highlands north of Jalik's Crossing. When the small goblin was about eight human years old an Orcs horde slaughtered his village and raised it to the ground. The few who survived were scattered to the winds. Including poor Muck. Little Muck drifted for a time until he found the old prospector's mine just outside the the Crossing. Long abandon the mine provides shelter and a network of tunnels that allow the little goblin to sneak around town and evade the local guard. A survivor, and mischievous by nature. Muck is a natural thief but not a cold blooded killer. He's prefers to use his weapons for defense and to cut purse strings.
