There is a lot of names here, but very few characters present. Furthermore, I've not seen much activity in this faction. In light of the faction leader being banned, I will permit a 24 hour period for a candidate to step up and take hold of the reins. This person is expected to then demonstrate within 2 weeks the activity of the faction. If unsuccessful, this faction will be archived. If the members wish, this faction can be archived now or merge with another faction. Factions are expected to have more than just one or two active individuals. Note that the only individuals eligible for leadership will be those who have characters attached above. If no one steps up to the plate, or there isn't a consensus to merge with another faction, this faction will be archived.

Aurius Pheonix. Priam Iluoc Bricors. I joined GALAF at the same time you did, TAC. However, I will not be able to take control of the faction as I will be leaving the site.

I think it would make sense to merge with Aberforth's new faction. Here are my stone cold arguments:

1. It's similar to GALAF and it would be an easy transition

2. Aberforth is a chill dude and would make a great indie fl

3. as an admin Aberforth is blood-bound to the site, so he can't leave, aka most stability for those of us who seriously want to write this particularly story

4. we can leave behind people's preconceptions about GALAF and its members and help a new indie get it start all at the same time

Either way, whether we agree or not to merge, I'll be joining the Insurgency. It would just be cool if we could shift everyone over there for continuity's sake.

From what I know a few people are just leaving site because they don't think site will be the same without the people leaving. I'm sure as hell lacking in the ability to carry a faction the way Dan did, so I can't volunteer.

I like Indie factions, it's a shame for this one to go to waste. I'm not to keen on trying again and going 'My character jumped ship and joined THIS rebel faction.' Especially given that GALAF, by all accounts, would have more people and supplies than Abe's, considering one has merged and has had missions, and the other isn't even accepted yet.

Dan is always praised as being an excellent faction leader, but I'm not always seeing the evidence behind his work. Most of his factions aren't very active, and many times are primarily him being the main source of activity. Drama does not constitute as activity.

A merge would allow GALAF's legacy to live on. I feel this faction does have great potential, which is why I permitted the option to merge and gave the opportunity for someone to take over.

If we could make GALAF as a faction work, or merge if necessary, I'd be willing to stay. Although i do agree my reasons to stay on this site are dissapearing. I make no assumptions, I may not be as good as Outlander at leading but I do have some experience under my belt.

If we stay solo, we need a leader. I would rather have one chosen from among us, or make a Council or group of some sort until someone comes along that is fit for the role. Perhaps a quick overview of the candidates giving their vision of where the future of GALAF should lead and a vote then being made.

I believe we should be independent. I understand a merger sounds interesting but GALAF is unique, and I wish it to stay that way.

I obviously proposed myself, but I also propose @TAC. I know he was formerly FL for other factions and am confident in his abilities. Should I end being chosen, I'll keep our mission as it stands and maintain the "Secret Society of Rebels". Missions will likely be revamped and edited for easier and more accessible content. Rules will also be edited to provide clear guidelines as to the operating procedure of missions, joining the faction, and other situations therein.

Whilst I'm all for GALAF living on, I don't think having a go at other/former members when they can't defend themselves is really fair.

The biggest this faction and others are having is activity. Honestly, I have doubts there enough members to keep 3 rebel-themed factions. GALAF isn't all that different from Guardian and Insurgency; it's main difference is it has Accord as part of its predecessor.

Activity can be incited. I'll let those who would respond decide what we should do. In the meantime I'll PM the appropriate FLs and see if they would consider a merger

It is true I have been around for awhile, and served as a FL for the Jedi and an AFL for the Rebels.

BUT I have no interest in running a faction. I have an interest in writing cool stories. And I believe that the coolest stories are going to be written when we have a lot of hands in the pot and can move our overall plot. I'm not friends with Abe, and I joined this faction because Dan personally asked me - my belief that we should merge comes from experience and a desire to write cool stories. And that is all.

I've tried to be active. For the most part I'm struggling with an exhausting job and very little energy when I get home. I wrote when I could, and tried to add in on things in our chat. I've had more time recently- Which was blocked by an issue from the site itself not letting post or message anyone.

Maybe I'm just tired, but you're free to do what you want with the faction. I'm burnt out, so I'm likely going to just step out for a bit.
