Feris Kai VS. Mephiles

Feris entered the dark arena where faint candle flames flickered all around. The ground was hard and the air was stiff with the smell of blood. Feris embraced the pungent stench and visualized his victory over the Jedi Mephiles. Feris suffered a humiliating defeat to Mephiles some time ago, but now he was a true SITH warrior, having been trained under the watchful eye of the DARK LORD. Feris was equipped with dual lightsabers.

Feris emerged from the darkness to the sound of cheering onlookers who held small red lights signalling their support for the Sith candidate. Others in the crowd sported blue lights, showing support for the Jedi, however the red dominated the blue thruout the crowd. This time, Feris had homefield advantage and would crush the Jedi.

Mephiles walked out on to the battlefield of the Duel Arena to once again fight the Sith Acolyte, Feris Kai. He had narrowly won last time, and this time would be different, he was better trained now, and would take victory more easily. After walking in, Mephiles stood about three meters away from Feris, his hand on his newly constructed lightsaber's hilt. He would win honor for the Jedi this day.
"Hello again my friend, shall we begin?"
Mephiles said, drawing his lightsaber but leaving it inactive.

Whenever you are prepared to die, foolish Jedi.

Feris took a step closer to his opponent and focusing intently and gathering his strength. Feris peered at Mephiles from under the brim of his dark hood, revealing only a small portion of his pale white, mechanical face. Feris noticed Mephiles' aura had grown since they last met. Indeed both of them had come a long way from when they faught last. Last fight was merely a sword fight and this will be a spectacle of Force Powers and lightsabers.

Feris held his hand out sugnaling that he was ready to go to war, whenever he and Mephiles were done trading pleasantries.

"Alright then, but I should inform you that I will not die by your hand."
Mephiles said, activating his ice blue lightsaber, and standing ready. He motioned for Feris to attack him with his left hand.

Feris activated both lightsabers illuminating the dimly lit room in half by a glowing red aura ... the other half ice blue from Mephiles saber.

Feris used the Force to aid his movement and sprinted toward Mephiles at blinding speed. He used the Force to Push Mephiles, trying to knock him off balance ... all the while he came crashing down on Mephiles with both blades.

Mephiles countered with a force push of his own, negating Feris's, then he blocked Feris's blows...barely though, if he had been even a second off, he would have lost a limb.

As you may know by now, this fight will be nothing like it's predecessor...

Feris muttered as he lashed back at Mephiles swinging his swords as to attack alternately with each blade. He swung at Mephiles extremities, arm and legs, trying to land even the smallest of blows, but he was almost certain Mephiles would parry the attacks. The Jedi was fighting a less exertive, defensive battle. Feris was more than obliged to play the angry and violent attacking Sith.

Feris could feel the energy flow from the sabers as they grinded together emiting a shower of red/blue sparks and creating a loud cracking noise. Feris made sure to syphon the expelled energy from the lightsabers to refill his energy. These Force powers could be exhausting in the future and Feris needed to contain his strength to endure the duel.

Feris continued the barrage with a heavy blow, swing both blades in unison, in a large downward slash. He tryed to use the Force to push down all around Mephiles so as not to allow him to easily escape the attack. He would have to block the attack with his saber. Feris knew that the synthetic red crystals of the Sith lightsabers was much more powerful than any naturally occuring crystal that the jedi use to power their sabers. Maybe later on in the battle, if Feris kept up his swordplay, he could overpower Mephiles lightsaber and cut him down.

Mephiles countered and parried Feris's blows, allowing himself to be taken by the force. It seemed almost as if everything was moving in slow motion, allowing Mephiles to avoid and parry the blows as though it were nothing. And what was more, is that his body did not become tired from the speed he was moving at.

Feris was surprised by Mephiles speed, despite his attempts at the Force Push. Mephiles was much improved since the last encounter ... much like Feris. Feris was upset at the ineffectiveness of his attacks and so his anger rose. He focus it and channeled it into his next series of blows.

Feris slung his lightsaber, launching it into the air aimed at Mephiles. He concentrated and used the Force to guide the blade to make a strike. He moved in to attack close range just as the thrown lightsaber was making contact. He lunged toward Mephiles, trying to impale the Jedi with all his anger and might. All the while he continued to manuever the thrown blade via the Force, trying to return the lightsaber to his grasp...

You will regret accepting this latest challenge JEDI, mark my words!

Feris hissed from the darkness beneath his robes. The crowds cheer grew louder at this moment at the fight was heating up!

FERIS!!! FERIS!!! FERIS!!! FERIS!!! FERIS!!! FERIS!!!

The Sith fans chanted...

Well, I guess he has improved.
Mephiles thought calmly to himself as he speeded up his body's movements through the force. Mephiles dodged the thrown light saber by moving to the left, and somersaulted backwards to avoid Feris's attacks. Panting slightly, he grinned and held his lightsaber ready.
"Come on, isn't it about time this fight got serious?"

Then step it up MEPHILES!

Feris hissed as he threw back his hood revealing his face and head. His hair was short, black and spiked striaght into the air. Feris threw his robes off and picked up his other sword from off the ground. Feris was indeed about to get serious...

Feris's anger and hatred rose as the fight continued. He channeled his anger into Dark Force energy and manipulqated the Force surrounding Mephiles which a large amount of energy. He was using the Darkside of the Force to Choke Mephiles. He could feel the Force slip around the Jedi's neck ... surely this Jedi had only heard of such powers, as they were not attainable by a Light-side Force user. The Jedi were weak because they held themselves back, while the Sith were constantly seeking the glory of Power, and the Jedi seeked balance.

Feris focused all his energy into the Force Choke ... he didn't advance toward Mephiles, instead he waited for the results of his attacks.

Mephiles felt his airway begin to constrict and knew immediatly what Feris was trying to do. Hopefully, since Feris was still a low ranked sith, Mephiles would be able to negate the Force Choke. Gathering the force around him,letting flow through his body, he managed to loosen Feris's grip on his throat, and hopefully break it,soon. Meanwhile, he focused a small amount of force energy to his hand and shot it at Feris with what strength he could muster.

Feris watched as the Jedi tryed to lossen the grip on his throat. Feris instead increased the chokehold on him. But soon, Mephiles lashed out at Feris using the Force, sending a blast headed towards him. Feris visualized the attacks as a waves of Force energy headed towards him. He knew that his lightsaber could absorb the energy and convert it and use it to further power his lightsaber as he did earlier in the deul.

Feris held his lightsaber out infront to absorb the Force blast and it worked mostly. Some of the energy rocketed past the sword and slightly stung Feris momentarily. The attack was just enought to distract Feris, causing himself to lose concentration and thus the Jedi resisted the Force Choke.

Not bad Jedi ...

He said with a hiss. Then he Force Sprinted toward Mephiles once again. Within a split second the Sith was all on the Jedi throwing around his dual blades with blinding hatred. He sliced, chopped, and stabbed at the Jedi with the blades. Then he swung a crucial attack that was aimed at the Jedi's left hand.

He's definately gotten tougher since last time.
Mephiles thought as he allowed the force to take control of his body's movements,ducking,dodging,and avoiding the attacks, but only barely, he could feel his clothing being singed as he narrowly avoided Feris's blows. After a few minutes of being chopped,stabbed,and slashed at, Feris went to attack Mephiles's left hand, a blow that would hinder his lightsaber attacks if it landed. Mephiles quickly parried the blow as hard as he could, and hopefully it would knock Feris off balance. But, in case it didn't Mephiles gathered a large amount of force enegy to his hand and shot it at Feris with an inhuman amount of strength.

Feris swung hard at Mephiles hand and missed, causing his momentum to carry on forward, and thus he was caught off balance. The Jedi then shot Force energy at him, striking Feris in his back, rocketing him many feet into the air. He came crashing down in a cloud of dust, but quickly rose to his feet, as to not get caught off gaurd again. He stood there for a moment, gathering his strength, focusing the Force on his pain, which quickly subsided. He continued his assault and launched himself at Mephiles with a devastating jump-attack.

Feris came crashing down on the jedi with both swords aimed to kill.

Mephiles looked into the air and saw Feris coming down at him with both lightsabers. Reacting quickly, he pulled the lightsaber his old master had given him and activated it, casting an emerald green light on the floor around him along with the ice blue. He held both lightsabers defensively as Feris came crashing down on him. Mephiles knees gave in a little from the pressure, but he manged to brace himself. When Feris had landed after the attack, Mephiles leapt back, as far as he could.
"I have been underestimating you thus far, Feris. Know that I will not underestimate you from this point on."

Well, since we are speaking on each others capabilities ... I must say I am disappointed in your progress. Then again, it is not your fault. You have not been properly trained in the Force ... you see, I have a keen connection with the Force ... I can even see it. Right now I look at you and see the Force that flows thru you ... you cannot hide you inability ... I am stronger with the Force.

Feris sprinted toward the jedi yet again with his blades pointed behind him. He used the Force to push Mephiles and followed it with a perfectly timed lightsaber throw. He launched one of his blades directly at Mephiles. Between the Push and the Lightsaber throw ... Mephiles was perfectly distracted so Feris lifted his hand into the air and CHOKED the jedi using the Force that was flowing thru his body. Feris noticed the Mephiles Force aura pulse ... and suddenly the aura weakened ... was his choke working? He didn't know yet so he walked to get a closer look.

Reaching out to the force to give him focus, his dodged Feris's lightsaber throw and force push, but could not avoid the force choke. His connection to the force dimmed slightly as the lack of air made him lose focus. Then, remembering that he was a Jedi and his purpose for wanting to become one, his connection to the force began to grow, until it was so powerful that he broke free of Feris's choke and charged at him, both lightsabers flying in a furious but refined manner.
"Apparently you have improved, although I must say that you're following the wrong path. True power comes from within when you have something you want to protect."
Mephiles said to Feris in between his lightsaber strikes.

Feris blocked the first few attacks with his remaining lightsaber, syphoning off the deflected energy from the lightsaber's as they cracked into each other. Feris used the Force to pull his thrown lightsaber back to his hand in time to block the finally attacks. Feris parried and responded with a few lightsaber attacks of his own. He aimed high and low simultaneously with his two ruby blades. He used his superior agility to manuever around the Jedi easily through a series of flips and spins. Feris' footwork was remarkable and he was never off-balance. He lashed out at Mephiles right arm.

Mephiles blocked the high and low strikes with each of his lightsabers. Then he focused on blocking Feris's other attacks and looked for an opening in his stream of lightsaber strikes. When Feris made a sudden move to attack Mephiles' right arm, he pulled away, leaving only a small graze. Mephiles jumped back several meters and stood defensivly, drawwing ragged breaths due to fatigue.
