"Personally, I would prefer to know one that is good against another lightsaber, but I will learn that when the time comes. I'll make the Shii-Cho form work for my advantage when I need too."

"So, Shii-Cho it is." Quentell said.

He pointed at the small box in which the training sabers were kept. "Use the Force to pull one of those training blades out. I will demonstrate the moves of Shii-Cho and you imitate them. Though I have not mastered the form myself, I know the basics. You will master it by experience."

He activated his own lightsaber. Its mighty silver blade appeared and slightly lighted the room. He stepped back with his left foot and raised his saber.
"Focus on your enemies limbs and strike those. Heads, arms, legs, hands, anything. Then parry attacks, and strike again."

Quentell demonstrated and taught Valek the basics of Shii-Cho.

Turning towards the box that contained the training sabers, Valek reached out through the Force to grab one. Quicker then before, a saber hilt flew out of the box and into Valek's gloved hand as he activated it, a green blade emitting from the hilt. He turned towards Quentell, who had activated his own lightsaber, he watched the stance he stood and mimicked them. He stood the way Quentell stood, moved his arms like he did, all while getting more used to the way the Lightsaber worked without again hitting himself.

After practicing the moves Quentell said, while deactivating his lightsaber: "It looks good. If you practice this form enough, you will master it. I myself use Shien, also called Djem So, in battle."

He then put away his own saber and then pulled a training saber to his hand. He activated it and a blue blade appeared.

"Now, Valek. Try to use Shii-Cho against me in this sparring match. Also, use all the powers you have learned in the training. Show me what you've got and show me you've become a powerful warrior. This will be to test your combat skills."

Valek only gave a nod as he activated his training saber and stood where he was. After a brief moment, he took a step and appeared infront of Quentell rather quickly in an act of Force Speed where he then went to strike him towards his right arm.

Quentell was impressed by Valek's attack. It was a fast, and if done correctly, a deadly attack. It could end the battle in one move.

The Shade Knight, however, quickly raised his blade and blocked Valek's attack just in time. He then stepped back and raised his saber high above his head, the Djem So opening stance. He then slashed with an overhand power blow towards Valek's head. A typical Djem So strike.

This was Valek's test to show Quentell what he got, and Quentell would not go easy on his apprentice. He never would, not even when sparring. He always tried to win, yet keeping things fair and sometimes giving his sparring partner openings and chances to strike him.

Valek ducked his head down slightly before placing his saber infront of him, blocking the attack quickly. He kept his blade there as he pulled it to the left, pushing Quentell's blade away. He then made a sweeping strike towards his master's face. It may have been only several hours since he first held a lightsaber, but he felt like he was almost familier with it...

Quentell could not get his saber to block Valek's strike in time so he used his Force Speed to dodge the attack, by taking a step back so Valek missed Quentell in an inch. Then, the Shade Knight threw a powerful Force Push at Valek and leaped into the air with his saber held with two hands above his head, to strike Valek.

Valek was unprepared for the Force push and found himself blasted back until he was on his back, still holding his blade. That was when he saw Quentell leap up and brought his blade down upon Valek, who in return placed his lightsaber infront of him to block the attack. Keeping his blade in place, Valek raised his right knee and delivered a strong kick straight towards Quentell's stomach to get him away.

Quentell did not see the kick coming and he had to take a few steps back.

He recovered quite fast and raised his blade again, high above his head. The Djem So opening stance.

He took one more step back and then waited for Valek to do something, Quentell would counter this time.

Holding his lightsaber with now only one hand, Valek quickly lept to his feet. He saw that Quentell was now going into another stance, placing his saber high above him. That might work towards Valek's own advantage as He kept his left hand free as he quickly thrusted his hand towards Quentel, releasing a small, but wide Force Push towards his master.

Quentell was knocked back. He lay on the floor and deactivated his lightsaber. He stood up and laughed.

"Valek. That was great." he said with a smile. "And the training is coming to an end, but first there are a few more things to do."

He put the training lightsaber back in the box and moved towards his apprentice. "As a knight, you don't want to use a training lightsaber when you're on missions. In the beginning of this training you had asked if you were to build your own, and yes Valek, you are going to build one."

"In the forest, nearby this enclave, you must have seen it from the huge rocks on which we practiced Force Leap, are caves. In these caves, deep within them, are crystals. All in different colors. Your new objective is to travel through those woods, all the way to the caves, and bring back one crystal. You may take food and drinks with you, but no weapons or anything that might protect you or help you. Let the Force guide you. You may leave whenever you are ready. I shall wait here for your return. Good luck, Valek."

OOC: Just write one long post in which you describe your adventure through the woods to the caves and then back to the enclave.

"Very well then, I will depart for them now."

Valek bowed before he left for his quarters he was staying in. He went towards a table that was in the room as he opened up his coat and started to release his weapons. First was his magnum, then his sword, followed by his training saber and ending with four grenades. As of that moment, Valek was weaponless and would then have to rely only on The Force and his own body for a defense. He then removed all articles of protective armor on himself until he was only in his black garbs and long coat. His helmet or "his real face" as he said and told Quentell, was all that remained on his head. However, with his medium grade armor now off, the helmet was now disabled and only allowed him to see through it, rendering its defenses useless. With that, he undid a small latch on his coat that released a long hood and gently removed his helmet, placing it in his supply bag as he placed his hood over what was once his old face, hiding it under his hood.

After gathering the supplies he needed, he left through the exit where Quentell taught him Speed and Leap. Now was to make the journey towards the caves as he went towards the rock wall he leaped up earlier. He leaped upwards towards each one, having to rest briefly before he reached the top. It couldn’t be too hard to navigate through these woods, but already it was nightfall and it was hard to see through the woods, Valek had to succeed. He went through the woods for several hours before he reached the entrance to what appeared to be some rocky caves. Looking onwards at them, he pulled his hood tight as he ventured into them, trying to use his senses to feel if he is alone in them and after a moment, it seemed the only life force inside was Valek.

The cave was dark and damp, puddles and small unnoticeable insects littered the ground and walls. That was when Valek saw that the caves were larger then he thought when he saw a large gap in his way that contained a large pool of water below. Remembering what he was taught, Valek focused on the Force and directed it towards his legs as he ran at the gap and leaped right at the last second, flying through the air as he landed right on the edge of the other side. Valek nearly lost his footing as he landed, but he kept it and stepped away from the edge. Everything looked different without his face on, almost like it was before the surgery, back in the old days before all of this happened… But it was not the time to dwell on that or the past; Valek had a mission and he was not going to return until he grabbed his crystal, and so he pressed on through the darkness, trying to let the Force guide him when he needed it.

It seemed like ages before Valek came to a dead end that seemed to be illuminated with various colors from above. He looked up and saw several tiny crystals shining brightly, all multi colored and waiting to be used. However, they were on the ceiling and Valek had no equipment on him, which meant he had to rely only on the power he has been taught to use in the past 12 hours. Reaching upwards with his gloved hand, he attempted to yank one out from afar through both use of the grip and pulling. Minutes went by, but Valek could feel a crystal loosening as he strained to yank it out. After five minutes, rocks came down from the ceiling as a green crystal shot out of it and went right into Valek’s hand. As soon as he had it in his grip, he looked down to see it, feeling these were no ordinary crystals before he collapsed to his knees and passed out.

Valek started to wake up around eight hours later, realizing that he was on the ground and quickly got to his feet, keeping his hood around his face as he grabbed his supply bag. He noticed he was holding something in his right hand and looked to see it was his green crystal still. Knowing he had what he needed, Valek began the long journey back to the Enclave; leaping across the gap once more with a little more precision before emerging from the caves and seeing daylight. Walking through the woods in daylight blurred Valek’s vision slightly as he looked downward slightly, but he did what he had to do to keep moving as he drank some water from his canteen. Around halfway there, Valek felt that he was no longer alone and knew that something was following him as he looked in all directions, trying to sense where the creature was. That was when it leaped out, an unidentified wolf like creature with dark red fur and hunger in its eyes. This was an opportune moment for Valek as he held out his left hand slightly, the creature taking a step forward and sniffing the air slightly. The wolf then charged at Valek, baring its sharp teeth as he lunged at him before stopping in midair. Valek tapped into the darker side of the Force and grasped the Wolf by the throat, strangling it slightly before he quickly guided his hand to the right, releasing the wolf as it slammed into a tree with a yelp.

With the predator out of the way, Valek continued on back to the Enclave, climbing down the rock wall before jumping down the last few and back on solid ground. He approached the Enclave entrance through the yard, going inside and heading back towards where Quentell’s quarters were. Like before, Valek figured that Quentell would sense him arriving to his door and stepped inside. Valek dropped his supply bag down to the ground, his hood secured around his head as he reached into his pocket and presented the green crystal in his gloved hand.

“No weapons. No armor. No equipment. Only the Force and my instincts.”

"...And a beautiful green crystal." Quentell added as he looked up to Valek. He had been meditating and so he had been watching Valek's progress.

"While you were away, I have prepared something for you." Quentell got to his feet and pointed over to a table in the corner of the room. On the table lay serveral parts.

"These are the parts you will have to use to build your lightsaber. You must put your crystal in the center and then focus on it and levitate the parts in the air. When they are levitating, wait until I say you can begin the actual construction of your lightsaber. Do you have any questions?"

Valek walked over to where the lightsaber parts were, placing the crystal into the center of the parts. Weapon building was a specialty of his, but this would be his first lightsaber construction. He then turned towards Quentell when asked if Valek had any to ask.

"None for now. I am ready to begin on your word."

"Alright, then you may begin now. Close your eyes and let the Force guide you to choose the right components. When you feel you have all the right components chosen let them float in the air above the tables surface. Then, connect the parts and use the Force to build your lightsaber. You may not touch the parts. Use the Force only. Good luck, Valek."

Valek did as instructed, placing his hands on the edge of the table and away from the parts. It did not take long before the metal parts and the crystal to start vibrating and eventually levitating off the table. Valek did not stop though, and eventually the parts were now levitating at head level with Valek. Using the Force, it gave him the knowledge on the Lightsaber, seeing the saber in his mind as it was quickly disassembled. Back in reality, Valek started to slowly rearrange the parts through the force so they were all in the right position before they would assemble together.

Despite what he has done since he has stayed here, this seemed to be more challenging then it seemed. He knew one wrong move, or one strong interruption would cause the pieces to fall down and scatter. That was when Valek shut everything else out of his so there was only him and the lightsaber parts. Nothing else. After this, he concentrated fully on his Lightsaber's construction as he carefully positioned the crystal in the middle, and bringing several parts together. After nearly ten minutes, there was only the green crystal floating in between two metal cylinders that consisted of the multiple parts that were scattered earlier. This process took about as long as he gently positioned the crystal in the right spot before making the metal cylinders close in on the crystal. Building blasters was similar to this, but this was like building a high grade blaster with a pair of tweezers.

After making sure everything was tightened, the crystal was locked in securely, and that both cylinders were sealed together, Valek gently set it down through the Force back onto the table. Valek then broke his long concentration as he looked down onto the object he built without his hands, gently grabbing it with his right hand as he examined the fully constructed lightsaber.

Quentell had been watching all the time and he was impressed. Each time he saw his student building one, he was impressed. Of course he had done it himself, at the end of his own Shade training, but he had never seen doing it himself. It was always special to see.

"What you are holding now, is your new weapon. Probably the most powerful among all your weapons. It's elegant and deadly. That, Valek, is your companion."

He said the last word slowly and gave meaning to the word. Because, it was very true. The lightsaber of a Knight was his or hers companion until death.

"Now there is only one more thing to do, Valek." he said. "Follow me, back to the area where we practiced Speed and Leap."

He walked all the way back to the exterior area and stopped in the middle of it. It was a beautiful location, a perfect spot to be knighted.

He turned around to Valek and said: "Kneel, apprentice."

He took his own lightsaber but did not activate it yet. He waited for Valek to kneel.

Valek, pocketing his newly built lightsaber, followed his master right back out to the court yard, and was then instructed to kneel as Quentell drew his lightsaber. Valek did as he was asked and knelt down on his knee with his head bent down as if one would kneel to their king. He somewhat knew what was to happen...

Quentell ignited his lightsaber. It's mighty silver blade spread a somewhat gloomy light.

He held his blade just above Valek's right shoulder. "I, Quentell Xall, Knight of the Shade Order..." and he then held the blade just above Valek's left shoulder. "...Name Valek Dagger..."
He then held it just above Valek's head and he said: "...A Knight in the Shade Order."

He deactivated his lightsaber and clipped it to his belt. "Rise, Knight Valek."

He was proud of Valek.

"Congratulations! Now you may activate your own lightsaber. Also, I want to ask you something." he waited until Valek had stand up. "I planned to go to Coruscant, after completing your training, and I think it's a good thing if you would come with me, so I can evaluate you as a knight."
