Within the stone and metal chambers of the Sith Temple on Ziost, Arcturus sat in his old training room. A wide room with patterned stone tile floors and wide glass windows, it was an excellent place to begin training of a new student. The Sith Lord hadn't trained an acolyte in some time, and at this point he was searching for someone to pass on his extensive skills, experience, and training to. Arcturus himself had been taught by a wide variety of individuals. A Sith Master and master strategist, the leader of the Chiss Immortals, Warmaster Vires, Royston Spektor of the Ubiqtorate, and even learned much of lightsaber combat from the Dark Lord of the Sith of the day. Few had such a well-rounded education in the Sith, and Arcturus was determined to pass on everything to one worthy apprentice. Perhaps he had found one in the form of a brand-new Acolyte, free of influence of other Sith teachings.
If this one had the potential, Diabolus would teach him the ways of power. In front of him were several tools of training. Weights to be worn on the body to increase strength, a pair of training blades for lightsaber practice, several obscure books of philosophy, and telekinetic practice objects of various shapes, sizes, and balances. The blades were rather special. They were specially designed to resemble the weight and balance of a lightsaber, with a relatively light but durable blade and a heavily weighted hilt. The entire thing was fairly dense, resulting in a lightsaber-esque practice weapon that was a good three times heavier than an actual lightsaber. While this may not seem like much on paper, it resulted in the building of muscle and muscle memory that makes one who practies with such weapons faster and stronger than those who train with ordinary lightsabers.
Arcturus' training methods were harsh, and difficult, but undoubtably resulted in a great amount of personal power and skill. He would hone this acolyte into a dangerous weapon of the Sith, or kill him trying. Today was a simple lesson, however. He would first hone the boy's mind. The body would follow after. Arcturus checked his chronometer. The acolyte was due soon. He would be punished for lateness.
