In light of this past week’s website downtime, I want to make sure that you guys have a way to know what’s going on with the site in the event of future problems. This is especially important to me because I know there were some rumors going around as to what the problem with the site was. One that I heard from a few people was that the database (namely users, posts, threads, etc.) was completely dead and we wouldn’t get anything back, so we’d have to start from scratch. As you can see, that rumor thankfully was just a rumor.

So, to help maintain communication during unexpected and/or planned site down times, I created a Twitter account that you all can follow if you have Twitter. Even if you don’t follow it, you can still see tweets that are posted during site down times. Here’s the link:

This will probably also be used for promotional purposes, and saying what’s going on with the site and what not, so you and other people will be able to follow news about the site and the RP.

So, feel free to follow us on Twitter. I’ll make this thread (or something similar) a sticky thread around here once any discussion on this dies down.
