THE STAR WARS RP
FORCE POWERS

Force_jump.JPG

The following is the list of the powers of the Force that can be used on The Star Wars RP. While this is a comprehensive list of powers you can use, it is subject to change over time if new Force powers are discovered in the Star Wars canon. Each power on this list comes from a credible source such as a book, game, movie or role-play sourcebook. There are other powers, however, that have been created by certain members of the community, but they have all been approved by the Administration and are used only in certain factions.

One must be careful when using a Force power, specifically in a duel. Many of the powers are not meant to be used in duels and can cause significant damage to the person who tries to use them. For example, if a duelist was to use “Induce Sleep” on their opponent, it would be pointless as it would end the duel far too quickly. It also would work only on someone of a lower class than your character. When using powers, one must also keep in mind that the opponent can resist said power. To try to use a power effectively against an opponent, try to use battle-ready abilities.

If you want to address something about Force powers, post a message in the Suggestions board or, if it’s not as important, contact a Role-Play Administration (ie. Solus, Sabre, Matt) using the Private Messenger. All Force powers that you have learned can also be put into your character profile. Once they are in your profile, they are able to be used in the role-play. If they are not in your profile, they will be ignored. All Force powers must have been taught to you in training. The only exception is if you were granted permission to skip training, in which case you can know the powers of whatever your rank is.

Each Force power in this list will have a color in its title. The color will indicate what character’s can use the power. The legend is as follows:

Core Force Power
Light Side Power
Dark Side Power
Light Side ONLY Power
Dark Side ONLY Power
Unified Force Power

To be clear, certain characters cannot use certain abilities. For example, Light Side powers can be used by characters who are part of the Sith, but it will change their standing within the Dark Side as it will raise their Light Side standing. Sith cannot, however, use Light Side ONLY powers, as they are reserved only for Light Side characters as the title suggests. The same goes for Jedi characters. While they can use Dark Side powers, it will increase their darkness. They cannot, however, use Dark Side ONLY powers because, much like Light Side ONLY powers, they are reserved only for those whose characters belong to the Dark Side.

Some powers cannot be used by certain characters regardless of their standing within the Force. While Force Push is relatively simple to use and is taught to Force Adepts, there are other powers that cannot be used by an adept. Some abilities are so powerful that only members of the Jedi Council or the Dark Lord of the Sith can use them. So role-players recognize what they can and cannot use, this guide will be split up into these sections:

Force Adept – Jedi Hopeful/Sith Hopeful Level
Jedi Padawan/Sith Acolyte Level
Jedi Knight/Sith Knight Level
Jedi Master/Sith Lord Level
Jedi Council/Dark Lord of the Sith/Dark Lord’s Apprentice Level
Unified Force Level
Other Faction Specific Powers

Once again, if you feel that something is missing or should be removed or changed, please do not hesitate to inform us. If it is a massive change, please be sure to post a thread in the Suggestions board. If it is a simple change such as the addition or removal of a power, please contact a Role-Play Administrator, those Administrators being Solus, Sabre and Matt, at your earliest convenience.
