Gaarbecca ‘Brave Defender’
Born on Kashyyyk

Species: Wookiee, Rwook.
Height: 2.58m
Weight: 168kg
Build: above average height and Muscular even for a Wookiee.
Eye Colour: Sea blue
Distinctions: Dark brown shaggy hair, has claw marks from a trandoshan who tried to abduct him during his rite of passage. Has hair in dreadlocks
Dialects: Can only speak Shyriiwook but can understand Galactic Basic and Huttese.
Faction: Non-Affiliated as of yet.
Young life 0-18
Born to a chieftain he was the heir to his father’s village. Grew up training to be a strong warrior and leader of his people, humans occasionally came to trade goods and so he learnt to understand Basic through interaction with the diplomats and merchants. Hunted with his father and learnt from the elders in the village.
From an early age, Wookiees were trained to use their dexterous hands for carving. They would learn to fashion everyday objects such as tools, musical instruments and household items. Some would also carve wooden toys, either as gifts for their younglings or just for leisure and Gaarbecca was no exception to this.
While they appeared to have a low technology level to outsiders, the Wookiees were in fact quite comfortable with modern technology. In fact, their ability to fuse modern conveniences and natural resources were second to none, as a chieftain’s son he was expected to be able to learn these talents for the betterment of the community. A ship had crash landed during his lessons and he was taken among others to assess the damage. They worked on the ship dismantling it bit by bit reverse engineering the components before bringing it back to serviceable condition and even upgrading some of the Hyperdrive systems with the aid of traders.
During A common rite of passage amongst Wookiee tribes, young Wookiee males are given a challenge to carry out where they must harvest fibers from the carnivorous Syren plant on the forest floor. During his rite of passage, he and his group were ambushed by Trandoshans hunting for the younger ‘less powerful’ Wookiees to take as slaves or to hunt as sport, he fought off his attackers ripping the arm off one before using it as a weapon to bludgeon him to death before throwing the last to a Syren plant which then devoured the Trandoshan, he dove in and harvested the fiber while the plant was busy eating the thrashing Trandoshan.
Honoured for bravery and celebrated by his tribe along with the others that made it back, though a period of mourning was held for the ones that didn’t return. He has since carried an extreme hatred for Trandoshans even attacked some on occasion whilst seeing them on his travels.
Life during the Invasion of the Republic
With the Mandalorians attacking his homeworld he and his people fought ferociously throughout the entire campaign against the soldiers but eventually the king and the council of elders surrendered leaving the proud race under occupation and with no hope of being free as they once were, he and several other warriors managed to escape the system… Searching for help to free not only Kashyyyk but the galaxy from oppressors like the Sith and Mandalorians. He had since resigned to fighting in pits to earn quick credits and searching for work as a mechanic in shops and spaceports, he is a talented craftsmen and mechanic from his experiences roaming the free galactic worlds.
Appearance
Has hair in dreadlocks below his jaw, wears a durasteel plated shoulder and arm guard can always be seen with his Electro blade in a sheathe on his back and bowcaster along with two belts one slung over his shoulder and the other around his waist that carried packs of ammo and supplies.
Clawed scars on the back of his right shoulder from the Trandoshan from the rite of passage. Has a ‘small’ diagonal scar hidden under his hair by his left hip towards his abdomen which he received from a Mandalorian during the war for his planet.
Personality
Usually calm, gentle and mild-mannered, but not when he is provoked or around Trandoshans or Mandalorians his hatred for those people is rooted deep. It is usually considered wise to avoid upsetting Gaarbecca or any Wookiee without having a medical droid nearby.
Follows the strict honour code and ways of his people, He is loyal and a trustworthy individual with a strong belief in the aim to restore Republic and fight the Sith Empire and its allies.

Marksmanship: Gaarbecca grew up hunting the wild predators on Kashyyyk’s forest floor for almost his entire life and is experienced in using the weapons high powered fire to lethal efficiency (8/10)
Hand-to-hand/close range weapons: Gaarbecca is well trained with his electroblade and has the strength to overpower most others he comes against. An increased reach due to his size also gives him a definitive advantage over would be swordsmen, fighting hand to hand combat with a Wookiee is as likely to succeed as finding a Wookiee who can speak basic (9.0/10)
Stealth: He’s a Wookiee, anywhere that isn’t a forest he is going to struggle to remain hidden (1.75/10)
Acrobatic Ability: Wookiees without force sensitivity are not known to be lithe on their feet or trapeze workers . He is an average (among his people) tree climber and swimmer (2/10)
Physical Strength: A hardened Wookiee, who is larger and far stronger than average, he has been known to rip people apart with his bare hands along with droids. He can withstand harsher temperatures than humans (10/10)
Mental Strength: Gaarbecca is resistant to mind tricks but not completely impervious if targeted by more than one. (6/10)
Mechanics and Engines: Gaarbecca and his race are widely known in their ability to handle and learn technology of other species and work on intricate projects, he is experienced with over 70 years (9/10)
Medical Expertise: If on Kashyyyk and you have found yourself subjected to a toxin from the forest floor he might be able to assist or bandaging a wound but he is far from a medic ( 2/10)
Piloting: Is a capable co-pilot though ships aren’t often designed to cater for Wookiees… (6/10)
Social/Conversations: Despite being able to understand Galactic Basic he is unable to speak it which makes talking to new people hard without a translator (1/10)
Intellect: Gaarbecca despite being educated by the villager elders and trained to be an exceptional warrior still lacks the knowledge of how the galaxy works, which leaves him a little out of place on occasion (5/10)
Strengths and Weaknesses
He is extremely strong and a capable warrior, intelligent and a skilled mechanic makes him invaluable to any team. The heightened senses of his species make’s Gaarbecca hard to sneak up on, his sense of loyalty is unwavering and if you prove you have honest intentions towards him Gaarbecca will listen and treat that person with respect.
His honour is a weakness which opponents can and have exploited, his hatred for Mandalorians and Trandoshans can often send him into fit of rage which leaves him exposed and vulnerable. His lack of communication with most humans also hampers his ability to find help and long-term work as most try to exploit him due to his race’s known usefulness as slave labourers.
He strives to become the leader that his people deserve and to one day help liberate Kashyyyk and the Galaxy…
