Rook here, just dropping in to say hello.

I may be new around here, but I've been roleplaying for far longer than I would like to admit. I've been poking around here for a while now, had intended to join up a while ago, then y'all decided to do a new timeline, so I figured I'd wait. Well, here we are now, and I've decided to take that fateful plunge.

I see I received a helpful guide to getting started upon registering, so I'll be picking through that and learning my way around in the days to come.

I did have one question with regards to the Sith civil war. Is this something which is being actively played out, or is there more of a cold war between the Old Empire and Republica at present?

The civil war is a full fledged war at this point. The Imperials glassed an Old Empire world (Medriaas) and the Old Empire folks are not very happy.

I looked over and over, but couldn't find any dates or references to an in-game timeline to help me suss that out on my own, so I wasn't sure how recent that event was.

It's kinda recent. Medriaas happened a few months ago, the Great Galactic War begins, and here we are.
