Greetings all! I am new to this community, but i have roots in the star wars role playing community back in the swtor.com days, the website for the star wars mmo.

There was a huge rp community at that time based in that site, and unfortunately it got wiped when the game launched. Pockets of us were able to stick around for a while but it seems we're all still scattered.

So, i decided to join this community as it seems alive and well, and very well moderated. I look forward to getting to know you all, and making new friends.

I'm glad to see a fellow SWTOR fan around here, not that we are that rare. I think there are quite a lot of us on SWRP. Are you still playing it? With the latest expansion and all?

Do you know which faction you will be joining yet? Or perhaps you are more of a free spirit and will make an independent character?

very true but Padawans can be fun. But kids are hard to RP and lets face it you need to be a gluton for pain. I lost so many duels as a padawan and young knight fighting sith last time line.

@Aberforth I plan on making a few characters, but my first will likely be an independent soldier of fortune. I don't play the game anymore, but i may return to it eventually. :) I'll send you a friend request for what it's worth. ;)

Interesting. The only character i have in mind that would fit with that group is Dietrich, but the thing about him is he is a very conflicted, emotionally stunted guy that is in this for himself. I could see him becoming a part of it if he were approached In character and someone piqued his interest there, but i'm not sure.
What is it about him that you find appealing? I'm assuming it's because you've already read his bio. @argutator

To me Dietrich will be an excellent mercenary. In fact, last timeline i had written a character that was similar to yours( there were some differences but overall very similar).Each person writes uniquely to portray a person that they believe is interesting; I find that your character would provide a grim/realist perspecive to our faction.
ADI is in no way ragtag but I am not fully confident about saying we are an "army for hire". More along the lines of a band of elites who fight for the higher bidder (and some personal want to kick sith butt). Although you probably already knew this since I'm guessing you read the faction thread.
