Ground Pounders and Flyboys (or Girls!)

Hi, I've noticed that, not surprisingly, ground troops and pilots rarely get to meet -we don't share many missions, we don't even frequent the same bars ...

So, as a good Imperial fighter pilot, I was thinking - would anyone like to join a thread where they live, work and fight side by side? The idea is, the Empire has a research base (yes, another one!) on an out of the way planet, where there's a need for both ground troops (hostile locals, deadly flora and fauna, Alliance raiders) and air cover (as previously). As a result, we actually intermingle (shock horror!), get to know each other etc etc.

We could even then open the thread to an Alliance raiding party, if they want in ....

So, anyone interested in this? If so, either PM me or post your interest below.

Since my guy hasn't yet defected I think I could retcon this as taking place beforehand. He's the stormtrooper guy in my signature, if you couldn't guess.

well the war hasn't officially started yet, maybe Muunlinst will change that. But I'm down to use my tie-pilot.

Fine by me! I've approached Gonzo to provide us with a Base Commander - he's got an Imperial Captain who'd fit the bill. Once I have a CO, we can get started.

If anyone else wishes to join in, the thread's still open for now - just PM me or sign up here. I'll probably stop at about five or six players, and we have three plus one CO, so no more than two more, please. Thanks!

Okay, sorry about this, but this thread won't be kicking off after all. I didn't hear back about the base CO, and since then, threads I'm already in are getting more active, so I won't have time for this.
