New to this site. Not new to Star Wars roleplaying. Went looking for a new site to hang around in (hopefully one with minimal OOC drama >>) and this one looked exactly like what I was looking for! Nice ta meetcha!

But would someone mind explaining what the timeline switch thing is about?

The site will essentially undergo a "reset" of it's lore and storyline. Presently, we are set roughly 1,000 years after Return of the Jedi. When the timeline switch happens, we'll be going back to an era near the Old Republic, somewhere around 1,000 years before the Clone Wars. We'll have new factions, a new story and new lore based on the new Disney canon rather than the Legacies and Expanded Universe material much of this timeline deals with.

If you'd like, there are a whole pile of announcements and discussions for your to peruse here that detail [somewhat] what the new timeline will entail and an ETA on it's arrival. And if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Hi! Welcome to the website, read more here for information about the switch. The reason is we were in the last ones for years upon years, and it got stale, so they decided to switch! I think it was also because new canon (I am fairly new, I do not know all the details)
