Lukor noticed the mercenary pulling a blaster; a problem of little significance. Pulling the lightsaber from his belt, Lukor flipped the switch as a snap erupted from the magnetic ring and a sickly blue jutted from the metallic steel. Using the lightsaber, Lukor deflected the shots back to the assassin.

While Kylina was a sith knight, Lukor had years of experience with a lightsaber and the force. Dealing with a traitor and a rat would be simple, not to mention the fact there was another sith knight there.

Kylina stood against the wall slowly, "Jyris, I cant. We need to get out of here." He was so intent on fighting that he had overlooked the fact that she was in pain from her recent run in with force lightning. "Save this battle for another time. We did our part" she slumped against the wall again barely able to stand up, "I will leave you if you decide to fight him. Ren and him will win against us. Lets go help elsewhere." Her eyes were pleading him to take his seat and fly them away or she would do it...alone.

He would play this game methodically. He fired two shots, two beams of laser as powerful as the blade of a lightsaber towards the Sith Lukor. The sith would be able to take those as warning shots if he chose. Or as the harbingers of his death, the choice was his, and frankly Rhine could not care less. He was just another obstacle the Crime lord needed to skip over.

Meanwhile, his men continued to the fire on the Turbo Cannons, suprisingly without any resistance. They either caught the sith by complete and utter suprise, or have yet to encounter any forces. It mattered little, they were doing what needed to be done. Those turbo lasers would be destroyed.

Ren turned her attention to the nervous captain before her. ''Well?'' She tapped her foot. He explained the problem ''Well, enter the guerilla emplacements and kill them!'' She yelled, her puppets bursting to 'life', taking Ren's sabres, and charging for the ship, alongside Lukor. Kylina could not escape. If they did, Ren's ship was always ready, not far away... And prepped for a long flight to another planet, perhaps Korriban. She moved her limbs expertly, the puppets staying alongside Lukor as he charged, their own purple blades flarinfg to life.

Like a sharp pain, some unforeseen instinct warned him of oncoming danger. Turning his head, Lukor noticed two strange shots approaching from a man; a fool at best. His gut instinct told him to just slap them with his lightsaber, but something told him otherwise. Diving to avoid the shots, Lukor was surprised by the sheer power of the shots. The balding sith should have changed his target, but the threat of the weapon this man held was too dangerous.

Using an outstretched hand, Lukor called upon the force to crush the weapon and rend it useless. He was getting weak from the back-to-back use of the force and was starting to conserve. Closing his fist, Lukor became satisfied as the unseen force corrupted the wirings and inner-workings of the weapons. Turning back to his target, Lukor paced himself as he let Ren chase after the mercenaries full force. Should this fellow have another one of those weapons, things might get interesting.

"A minor inconvenience. We'll deal with him once the mercenary and the traitor are dead."

The battle above seemed to keep on raging, neither side looked to be gaining ground. Making his way to the local transport dock, he 'dipped' as many people as he could. It had been a couple of weeks since he'd been allowed out so he knew that his not-so-useful 'brother' would have spent all the money he'd made playing pazaak. A small child saw him dip into the pocket of a grubby rodian and began to tug at her mother's coat, so he ducked into a side alley while the girl was trying to get her mother's attention.

This place is too damn upmarket. Why must he always dump me in the posh end of town?

He leaned against the wall, his dark red robes flapping in a breeze coming from a vent grill.

The defence cannons surrounding the ion cannon emplacements kept up their deadly barrage of the surrounding buildings marked by snipers. As the guerillas were getting attacked, Sith troopers moved to those building, slient as a shadow. They came to the doors, and the cannons didn't let up. That would give it away. They began to cut through the locked doors...
* * *
The puppets charged the ship, their blades cutting deep into the bulkhead where Kylina was. She had moved... One puppet jumped atop the ship, scuttling over to the engines. Ren pulled the tip

The public broadcast channel informed citizens to return home and try to stay out of the streets, ground troops were being deployed. He shook his head and thought. There had to be a way off this planet and out of this mess. The Sith were loosing their foothold and he couldn't risk being found by either them or the Jedi, being Force Sensative and having dual persona would be trouble.

If I get caught by the Sith and He wakes up there'd be no telling what they'd do to Him. Then again, if I get caught by the Jedi they'd hold me as a Sith and there's no telling what they'd do to me. I gotta get out of here.

He accessed a data point and located the nearest transport tube, just a few blocks away and a couple of levels down. He pulled up his hood and stayed in the shadows as best he could.

His G-wing continues to perform evasive maneuvers as the Sith fighters swarm behind it. The Alliance merc clenches his teeth. There's too many of them!

Warning sirens wail as the shield power drops to 10%. If he's going to die now, the merc will not end up a mere tally on the casualty list.

The transport tube platform was surpsisingly empty, this made it harder to go un-noticed as there was no crowd to mingle with. He slipped onto the next transport not caring about the destination. Standing in the corner of the end car he watched as a pair of ridian made out halfway down the car. Disgusting! He thought to himself. After a fwe dozen stops he'd had enough of the sucking noises the bugs were making and stepped off the transport. He'd ended up only a few levels from a star port, his luck was bound to run out soon. With a space battle ragin overhead it was going to be difficult to get a flight off-world.

Getting to the starport had been easier than he expected. He was even lucky enough to be able to book passage on a freighter that was scheduled to leave just as he had handed over some credits. He couldn't get too far, but at least he'd be able to get off Coruscant. Using the protected hyper space lanes on the other side of the planet from the battle they were soon watching the stars stream past as they headed for the inner rim.

Standing at the entrance to his apartment complex, the mentally unstable Lleroi Starks stood with a small holorecorder in hand. Playing the message, for a third time, Lleroi went over the instructions in his complex mind as the cloaked figure spoke in a hushed tone; unrecognizable to those around the unstable hitman.

"There will no doubt be an attack against our turbolasers, perhaps some ground troops will make it to the turbolasers without getting fried. It is your job to see that our weapons are kept safe. Each destroyed turbolaser will result in a deduction of pay. The coordinates to the turbolasers will be downloaded into a datapad with this message. Get there and do your job. If you fail your task, you will receive no pay and you will be considered unloyal to the Sith Empire and a warrant for your arrest will be made.

You have your job and what's at stake... don't fail me."

The hologram suddenly disappeared as the lunatic pocketed the hologram and sat aboard a speeder, inputting the location of the turbolasers and thus creating a radar. Stomping on the accelerator, the lunatic drove off into the battle; fire filling the sky from the battle above.

It did not take the man too long to enter the city, where the turbolasers lay. The large explosions led the speeder in one direction, where a group of besiegers attempted to destroy a turbolaser. Hiding behind a piece of wreckage from one of the destroyed turbolasers, Lleroi pulled out one of his many gas grenades. These weapons; capable of incapacitating a target with its non-lethal toxic gases, causing the targets to struggle with breathing and sight. Pulling the pin, Lleroi lobbed the grenade at the group of men. The grenade, set to a two-second timer, sprayed the gas violently as it hit the ground.

Ren watched as her troops moved against the insurgents. They clustered around the base of the buildings, large charges held in their hands. They placed them at load-bearing points around the structures. She had sent this order across the planet. These fools though that the Sith would be weak enough the protect the civilians here. Cancers must be destroyed, even with body damage. She watched as charges and timers were set, a sadistic smile upon her face...

The merc checked his shields status. 2% power, with nothing left to spare. He maneuvers the G-Wing to an open flat, cannons blazing. A warning sound cries out as the shields were completely depleted. Nothing now is in the way between the Sith blasters and the hull of his ship. The Unseen Gauntlet shook violently as it endures a direct hit. The engines took the damage - they sputter as the deadly energy rips it apart.

With the engines of his vessel now unstable, the mercenary had only one last choice in mind. Manually controlling his ship, the mercenary went for a crash landing, damaging the flat top of a Coruscanti skyscraper. The landing ramp lowered itself, and the merc stumbled out. If the fighters do not mow him down, there is bound to be incoming Sith soldiers. Cruelly efficient Sith soldiers. With a blaster rifle in hand, the pilot stumbled out of the wreckage, seeking cover and a sanctuary - anywhere except where he is now would do.

The charges stopped. Ren had decided for a better method. She ordered the soldiers to move into the buildings, guns ready to kill anyhting that moved, enemy of otherwise. There could be no chances taken.

((OOC: Finally time to take this story back where it belongs... The skies...))

Rogal's eyes widened in disbelief, as three Galleons and nearly two hundred fighters exploded on the shields on the Sith's flagship, The Precedence. Another Galleon barely survived the encounter with the raised shielding. But it was clearly a last ditch maneuver that would drain the ship's power immensely.

We have them, the bastards... We have them!

He cried out, slamming his fist into the arm of his chair. Their shields had to be faltering, at failing point even. Nothing takes that much damage and walks away. Even the Behemoth would have been staggered.

The rain of weapons fire continued towards the Precedence, allowing it no time to recover, but the deathblow had yet to be delivered.

Grinning, Rogal pressed a button on his command panel, and a light lit up on the bridge of the Crimson Blade. The mighty ship had yet to fire a single weapon, for one reason only.

It's primary weapon system was two huge railguns, mounted along the entirety of it's length. They could launch a pair of projectiles with enough force to punch a hole through a moon. And it had just received the order to fire.

The Behemoth jinked downwards, allowing the equally gigantic ship behind it clear line of sight to The Precedence. It's bow aligned perfectly with the Sith flagship.

The two giant metal shells were instantly propelled at well in excess of three thousand kilometres per second, and at this range, roughly eight kilometres, they couldn't fail to hit. The Precedence did not stand a chance, with no hope to evade in just over two and a half seconds, and with it's shields at breaking point... The enemy flagship was about to die. It had fought well, but so heavily outgunned, it hadn't stood a chance...

The shields had taken a pounding from the desperate move, and so quickly Krakana ordered her ship full astern. The hordes of reserve fighters cluttered up the spacelanes as Krakana and here Precedence limped to the rear of the battle. Two Sith warships came up to replace her position - just in time. The amount of time it had taken the Behemoth to change position had revealed another vessel behind it, instantly destroying the two vessels. The crew of the Precedence stood, numb. In all her years, Krakana had never seen such power from a single vessel. The two projectile weapons had torn two of the Navy's best ships apart. She remember the names of the vessels - Reaper and Solstice - recording them quickly. She would honor the dead, somehow. She knew the Republic was behind this. And the Republic would pay dearly, indeed.

'Captain...that's enough. Order an organized retreat - plot a course to the far side of the planet with what forces we have left to us, with the fighters providing rearguard cover.

'Coruscant will be lost, and so have the Sith.'

Silence descended across the bridge as the order was given. Not once before had Krakana been defeated, but still...one could only wonder how long vessels such as the Behemoth had in the sky. Krakana gave that vessel a mental blackspot - even were her career in the Sith fleet over, she had...other sources that she could turn to for vengeance.

There was a sudden change in the force; what momentum Lukor had maintained through the battle had suddenly felt weak. His eyes darted to the sky, where the fleet was retreating. His hopes of victory were slit like the skin on a young woman's neck. Sending a message through the force, to Ren, Lukor spoke in haste.

"Ren, we have a problem. Our battle in space has failed. We must consider retreat ourselves if they decide to bomb us."

---
Meanwhile
---

Throwing another gas grenade, Lleroi continued his attack on those causing harm to the turbolasers. His shots, accompanied by the accuracy of a scope, began mowing down the unsuspecting men ((I gave you time to defend your men Agri)). Unaware of the space fleet's retreat, Lleroi continued his offensive.

Rogal couldn't help but laugh, as the sheer destructive power of the Crimson Blade was unleashed. He had already set events in motion to have a similar weapon mounted along the bottom of his own ship...

"Sir?"
What?
"The enemy appear to be retreating, Sir..."

Rogal wasn't surprised. He wouldn't want to fight the awesome pairing that the Behemoth and Blade formed. Though it could well be a trap.

Pursue them! If they are fleeing, continue to harry them... If not, don't give them time to regroup!

Leaning forwards in his chair, he could feel the victory. Now... If the space battle was as good as over, he could lead his men to victory on the ground...

Dante!

"Sir?" The Captain of the ship responded quickly, having been overseeing his crew from within their ranks.

Take the helm, I leave the fleet in your capable hands...

Standing, Rogal swiftly left the bridge. He made his way to the launch bays and Dante took his seat on the bridge. The space battle was simply a mopping up excercise now, though it would not pay to become complacent... Indeed, the fleet would continue to hound the enemy until their last ship jumped away from the planet, however, the real fight was now to be had on the ground...
