The Road to Renatasia
He Who Dares, Wins

Somewhere in the Outer Rim
Interplanetary Space

John Marek Andregaard stood with his arms folded across his chest, the tall and lean Initiative Commander waiting for the rest of his operatives in the briefing room aboard his Sigma-class shuttle, the Arcadia. His shuttle was resting in the docking bays of the Initiative headquarters, the elusive frigate Ethereal Reach. He was dressed in a dark suit, black jacket and trousers over a black dress shirt, his eyes intent on the holographic display on the meter-wide projector in front of him. The ghostly image of a ship floated in the space above it, a cigar-shaped Mon Calamari antique that dated back to the Alliance-Empire War. While back in the day it had served as a warship, the hull had since been converted into a luxury liner and eventually into a flying high-stakes casino that catered to the richest of high-rollers known as the Emperor's Palace. It was run by the Hutts, her 'captain' and owner of the casino a massive, bloated gastropod by the name of Hallago. He had seen many such vessels on the projector before, back in his days as an Alliance commando, but today they were going to be doing something much, much different.

He wasn't going in there to kill anyone, destroy the ship, or even collect intelligence. Andregaard and his team were going to rob the floating casino. He smiled ruefully, thinking it wasn't really so different after all - the taxpayer used to provide the funds for his operations. Now he was going to collect those funds a little more directly.

John Marek looked up as his enormous vorn-cat, Skere Kaan, picked up his head and let out a low chuff. "You've arrived. Please be seated," he said as he gestured towards the chairs around the projector. "Let's start out with introductions."

Tre never felt comfortable being apart from The Fallen Angel. That ship was his life. His only friend that he could depend on. The only thing he could really call his.

If it wasn't for the ridiculous reward money for this mission, Tre would've seriously considered turning it down. But the multiple digit number had made his insectoid eyes bulge, so he had checked the Ghtroc 720 into storage once again on Tatooine and gotten picked up for the Init mission.

He wasn't sure exactly what he was even supposed to be doing here. All he knew was that he was a fairly good con man (in his opinion), with a relatively clean record and fairly average looking. A good shot. A kickass pilot. A master at gambling. He would do any of those and then some for the amount of money these guys were offering.

The entire journey since he left Tatooine had been super secretive. Made him feel like he was on a spy vid. Straight from the pickup shuttle to this one. No looking around, no idea where he even was. He could respect that at least, and admired the tradecraft of it all. He couldn't work some bumbling, greedy idiots. These Initiative guys were professional, operating more like a military organization then a criminal one. He wondered if this is what he would have felt like if he hadn't jumped ship after the Academy.

As he entered the briefing room, he took one look at the vorn-cat and chose the seat farthest from him. Tre did not mess with any big furry creatures with big teeth. His insectoid eyes trained onto the monster and evaluated it for several mioments as his agitated antennae swiveled through the air.

When the bald human directed him to do so, Tre introduced himself in his usual charismatic way, his agitation seamlessly disappearing. "I am Ar'tre. I'm here at the behest of Andy. I can handle myself just alright in space or at the gambling table." He said all of that with an easygoing expression, body relaxed into the seat. The Verpine wore his flight jacket and some loose fitting flight pants. A Verpine shatter pistol weighed down his belt on his right side.
