Where do I create my charachter? Where is the main PR area? How do I become a Bounty Hunter? Do I have to train to be a Mandalorian or can I just be one?

To be a bounty hunter, create a character.
Next, go to the independent faction section toward the bottomn.
Find the Bounty hunter section and post your application.
Also no Mando's, sorry.

So you don't have to type out a brand new message every time a newbie says "halp me i is stoopid!", just click edit then copy and past this one, it's got all the links and everything done. No major point to this other than making our lives easier.

By the by, feel free to update/improve this message, and stick in any of your own generic help messages for common questions in this thread.

Answer:

Okay, first things first. If this is your first RP forum (then again even if it isn't) you should give a quick glance to the three stickies in this board. That includes the "Guide to Roleplaying", the "Roleplaying Rules" and "Brandon Rhea's Guide to Roleplaying".

If I were you I would then begin creating your character. For your first character I would certainly recommend using one of the character templates found in this thread, and it's worth noting that the first template is easier to use at first. Also when creating your character, and writing their history make sure you check out the Useable Species List and the Useable Planets List so you don't get a tirade of members telling you what you have to change immediately. Also make sure you read The Story: The Alsakan Crisis thread and the Timeline of Galactic History. I would also suggest giving Grim's Guide to Not Making Crappy Characters a read, as it can be very helpful.

Once you've got your character, if you do not want to sign them up to a faction, you can begin roleplaying straight away. Just remember these things and you should be fine. If you do want to join a faction, it's worth having a look at each, and reading all the stickies in the main faction thread's (The Order of the Jedi, The Galactic Republic, The Ospion Guardians, The Planet of Onderon and The Alsakan Union). There are also a few independent factions which you can look up in The Independent Factions Board.

The main RPing board is The Story, but be sure to read the other threads and look around a bit yourself first.
