Hi,

I’m looking forward to getting stuck in here. I have looked over the forums and think it’s a perfect place to begin this kind of RPing, which is something I’m yet to fully attempt (I’ve been more of a spectator up ‘til now).
The main reason for beginning is the creativity aspect; my love of Star Wars has lead to writing fan-fiction, something I didn’t expect I’d get into but it proved more challenging, engrossing and rewarding than I had thought, so I’m looking forward to finding a new character within the Legacies era to create and play with!

I’m sure I’ll be pestering a few of you for advice re: character creation and entry into various stories, and I look forward to speaking to and becoming friends with a lot of you :)

Welcome. I am relatively new here but I got started the same way you did on another site. I have never been much of a writer but, like you, my love of star wars and the ability to immerse myself in the SW universe led me to try it and I have had fun ever since. Welcome to the site, man, the place is pretty active if you know where to go. We have a great team of admins here who are keen and able to help with things if you need them and there are a lot of really fun guys to roleplay with here. Um, people of note are:

Admins:

Brandon Rhea: he's the big boss man.
Green Ranger: Also kown as Boli, he's a great guy, and is really good at helping out with character dynamics
Sreeya: She's the head bitch in charge, don't get on her bad side. But she's known to accept minions, also an admin, she's fair, and unbiased, and great with 'serious' disputes.
Matt: He is the forum stranger we know very well.
Padmé: She is the sites sweetheart, and the profile admin.


Others:

On the flipside there are
Alexander Dregar: He either knows something or knows someone who does
Snt. Solaire: NPC for anyone for almost anything
Lupe, Pax, Cassanova, Kiro, TweedPawn and Endling = great roleplayers of initial note. If you would like people to join in a thread, they're definate invites, as well as everyone else above.
Jiang Winters and Solaris: They both know their tech. So if you want help with any cool new personalised tech, you could always ask either of them for a hand.

Make sure you read through the general and RP rules pages linked off the main page. As there are some specifics on tech and the like that are kinda important.

The character I’m hoping to use is a Chiss (Commander-class). Of the character types, there seems to be less Chiss than [Jedi], [Sith], [indie], etc. The rigid military structure of the Ascendancy presents a challenge in itself, it’s one that I’d feel comfortable playing within, as it gives a framework in which to play and identify a character’s personal targets (i.e. classes/ranks to move up to). Thus far, I’m pretty happy with his biography. I’ve done some research & know who to PM should I decide to really go for it.

In fact, I may just present the character & open it up to critique & suggestion, open for all to offer their thoughts. I think that’d be the more effective & easier option.
