I have noticed that almost 100% of the RPs we write (non diverse) are of the scifi/action/adventure genre. I was thinking (I know thats dangerous) that maybe we could try to start a few purely scifi/horror RPs and push ourselves out of our comfort zones in terms of writing. I for one have never written horror but my favorite author, Stephen King, has inspired me. Here are the details of the hypothetical RP.
HORROR RP:
Setting: Neutral small hospital space station, nicknamed the Handshake Zone, on the edge of Alliance and Imperium Space near Vurdon Ka
Plot: Characters of all alignments are in the hospital for treatment. Patients randomly start dying in the middle of night from gruesome medical experiments. Several crazed surgeons are on the loose! One morning, just before breakfast is distributed, power shuts off and life support is activated. Maniacle laughter is heard over the comms with screaming in the background. Every man for himself to survive attacks from insane medical personnel in the dark (bom bom bommmmmmmmmm). Oh, and you can't leave the hospital BUT, your character can't die.
Character Specifics: We want this balanced as far as alignment goes. Three Jedi and three Sith (sorry Mandos and Chiss, its only because I dont like you :D). Characters will have to choose from any of the listed injuries you're character will be getting treatment for.
- two broken legs
- temporarily blind and deaf
- massive burn trauma to arms and face
Its gonna be first come first serve on this one and I have taken one of the Sith slots with Jado. Please make sure you are an active RPer before you sign up!
