DESCRIPTION:
The HRM-ST03 Heavy Armament Load-Bearing Suit is a powerful vehicle and resource designed by Rosenthal Galactic with its own personal security, policing, and military uses in mind. Sitting as a middle point between Power armour wearing infantry and much heavier walkers the H.ARM suit provides a happy medium, giving the average platoon a vehicle with the mobility, light armour, and reduced presence of the former while bringing in some of the firepower from the latter category. Even with its default Rosenthal produced firearms it holds a large amount of firepower, a gun to suppress and eradicate infantrymen, one to deal with armoured vehicles and fortified positions, and the last to blow things to smithereens all packaged in a quick, agile, if not somewhat bulky package. The vehicle itself is not lacking any form of weakness though, it was built to work and be inexpensive at the same time to give Rosenthal capital to work with, not provide a super soldier.

The Armour itself, though extremely heavy for an infantryman, and able to shrug off regular grenades and small arms fire, is still not all too much stronger than the chief of states armoured car. The pilot himself is somewhat exposed, and the armour itself does possess a fair few weak points. To add to this is not only the fact that the pilot himself is unable to actually reload his weapons and requires a ground man to do it, and not finally the fact that the weapons themselves can really only be aimed forward with up and down movements and thus easily flanked if surrounded, but also the simple fact that the pilot himself is somewhat unable to actually see what's going on behind him or turn on a dime like a regular soldier which can allow a person to sneak up on him. It takes a skilled driver to navigate stairs and is not designed to operate in restricting environments. If it is knocked down, onto its front side, it takes maybe ten seconds for a good pilot to bring it to its feet again.

In terms of movement this beast of a machine possesses a mere two avenues to do so. The first is fairly simple, the machine is bipedal, and if you've guessed by now, it is capable of walking. Now, its range of actual leg movement is somewhat limited. Its thigh to pelvic joint is the most flexible moving the knees together and apart with a roughly human level of flexibility as to not yank the drivers legs from their sockets. The knees, designed for stability purposes, only have a somewhat limited range of movement back and forth. Though enough to get it up the stairs and run, it is by no means smooth. And finally the ankle only has a basic mechanical actuator managing its pitch with no ability to spin left or right. It's basiclaly equivalent to running around with a fake non-mechanical leg. The second avenue is the much faster and smoother of the two, repulsor skating. On the feet of the machine, and along the back, is a repulsor array. The ones on the feet when fired push against the machines great weight, not enough to lift it, but enough to reduce the friction it would normally have by a large amount. The ones on the back push it forward. This mode of transport is almost describable as being pushed on flat land, while wearing roller blades, and an invisible force is constantly pushing you forward.

Owing to that famous Rosenthal modularity is the ability for an operator to, with a bit of knowledge and understanding, make several changes to the machine itself. First of all, the four mounts, two arm, two sub arm, can be fitted with any weapon or piece of equipment that is designed to fit them, and given the proper drivers and programming to be controlled. It's an open system, every part of the machine is well documented and can be easily accessed for removal or replacement. Every single piece of tertiary equipment from the lights to the cameras can be yanked off and swapped out so long as whatever is hooked in has the proper cabling and programming to make it work, much like a motherboard you plug things into.
EQUIPMENT:
-EM Hardened Internal systems-
To Protect the internal systems of the H.ARM Suit from damage in military settings, the various internal and essential electronics have been EM Hardened to keep the pilot from being rendered defenseless as long as possible. This though, has limits, most regular EM attacks can be shrugged off, but sufficienly powerful ones can still force their way through, causing malfunctions and system instability.

-Military communications suite-
To keep the pilot connected to whoever he works with or works for, the system is by default equipped with a powerful transmissions array that, though invulnerable to being jammed, is capable of sending out signals and information through sheer brute force over short distances. The receiver portion of it is also quite sophisticated, with a wide frequency range and a complex system to be capable of receiving encrypted signals from any variety of sources provided they have the proper ciphers for interpretation and their end. Part of this allows the operator to keep track of their pilots status down to every bullet left, blood pressure, and how fast their hearts are beating allowing for more indepth decisions to be made.

-Sensory Array Suite-
-Mounted Floodlights-
-Global Positioning System-
-IR/UV Spectrum Cameras-
-Hijack Data Ports-
-Targeting Systems-
For use with its weapons system, and linked in with its HUD, the machine is roughly capable of making calculations and interpretations on the fly using available ballistics and atmospheric data in combination with laser range finders and numerous other types of equipment to calculate munitions flight paths and pass these to the Heads up Display in combination with an optional camera view down the side of the weapon being used to provide for highly accurate shots and firing when required. Of course, this can often be forgone when enemies are close enough you can aim by simple guess work, or simply need to be suppressed.

-I.D. Lock System-
To keep unauthorized personel from making use of the vehicle, it has been fitted with an I.D. lock system. Activated with administrative approval the system uses available biometrics data such as eye patterns, vocal patterns, and other relevant data to prevent machines from being stolen or used by the enemy if disabled on the battlefield. Disabling the Lock is possible, but requires much time that most people don't have available to them.

-Heads Up Display-
Also packaged with the H.ARM Suit is a helmet. And with the helmer is a display system for monitoring and regulating the system as necessary. Everything from ammunition counts to rough integrity levels for each part of the system itself are given to the pilot, telling them roughly what is wrong and what needs to be done with their machine at virtually all times. It also feeds in video and communications data on request, as well as balistics and down the barrel views of their weapons if accuracy is a requirement.

-Auto-Medic-
To keep the pilot happy and humming along the H.ARM Suit possesses an automatic medical system. In the event a pilot is either knocked unconscious or otherwise incapacitated it has numerous features ranging from application of simple small electrical shocks, the ability to perform CPR, an on board defibrillator, the ability to apply morphine, and provide functions akin to a bag valve mask to force the driver to breath. This is because the Pilot cannot easily get out or have an available medic work with them in the field.

-Auto-Retrieval-
Everything goes wrong, the pilot is dead, nobody is able to pilot the suit. What happens? Auto-retrieval kicks in. Basic autopilot functions kick in and will keep the machine moving, though in a state where it is unable to defend itself. From this the machine will either be remotely commanded to attempt to follow whatever squad or platoon it was attached to, or be ordered to return to base immediately in a last ditch attempt to keep it out of enemy hands and perhaps get it back on the field as soon as possible.

ARMAMENTS:-30x115mm Anti-Tank Rifle [Arm Mount]
ROF: 40 Rounds per Minute
Range: 1,900m
Capacity: 24 Rounds
Reload: External Aid

-One of the three default available armaments to the H.ARM Suit. The 30x130mm rounds it fires can come in a variety of flavours ranging from simple durasteel slugs, High explosive, incendiary, and kinetic energy penetrators. whatever other type you can manage to get manufactured in that size works as well. Depending on the ammo you load into it, this Rifle is generally capable of taking on a majority of infantry and structural based enemies. Any single soldier who is hit by it, as much as waste of ammo as it would be, is highly unlikely to survive, even if their armour is tough enough to take it, the impact alone may be enough. Most smaller medium to lightly armoured vehicles such as bombers, fighters, most things that aren't tanks, are likely to take light to moderate damage depending on their armour on a direct hit. It is damn accurate.

-15x90mm Rotary-Cannon [Arm Mount]
ROF: 5,400 Rounds per Minute
Range: 1,100m
Capacity: 2,000 Rounds
Reload: External Aid

-One of the three default available armaments for the H.ARM Suit. The 15x90mm rotary cannon is both awe inspiring to fire, and absolutely terrifying to be fired upon with. Designed with regular rounds, and incendiary in mind, the gun is quite adept at taking both regular infantry and and small vehicles down a few notches with extreme predatorial ease. How you choose to use it tactically is up to you. Because of its ludicrous rate of fire the actual firing mechanism has a burst regulator. The pilot is able to choose the rough rate of fire and the effects of a single trigger pull on the fly. This can be so much as bringing down the gun to a mere 40 rounds per minute and holding down the trigger or forty rounds in a single trigger pull if they so please.

-Longbow Rockets [Sub-Arm Mount]
ROF: Up to 7 Instantaneous
Range: 800m
Capacity: 7 Rockets
Reload: External Aid

-The Final weapon. The Long bow Rocket system is the only thing designed by Rosenthal capable of hooking into the two sub-arm mounts, meaning you can carry a pair of them if you wish. The Longbow Rockets though are unguided short range rockets intended for use against heavily armoured targets such as battle tanks, walkers, and fortified positions. However, the pilot must take careful aim through the digital optics on his HUD for the rockets themselves are incapable of locking on to a target. The rockets themselves can easily be switched out for ones of various types, Ion, Fragmentation, Chemical, shaped charges, whatever you can hook into it.
ARMOUR:The H.ARM Suit, even if its armour is much more than your normal infantry soldier can carry, is still vulnerable. Its armour itself is mostly invulnerable against most regular small arms, whether its an assault rifle or a blaster rifle, its armour is capable of eating up a majority of these shots without missing a beat, heavier weapons such as anti material rifles or rockets can cause some serious damage as would be expected of any moderately armoured vehicle. However, that doesn't account for weak points. The pilot is still somewhat exposed. The leg joints, though tough, cannot take all too many hits before locking up. Hits from Ion weapons can temporarily cause malfunctions and even short out parts with enough work. It doesn't have a shield. The joints keeping the weapons themselves, though perhaps hard to hit, are not the most armoured on the off chance they get hit. If not for its weapons it'd be about equivalent to a well armoured car.
ROLE:Defense and Infantry Support
Intent:The H.ARM Suit is a heavy weapons system which the intent is to provide a heavily armed weapons system for use by indie military and security personnel as a unit acting in support for numerous combatants rather than a stand alone fighter due to inherent design flaws and limitations that cannot be overcome yet carrying weapons that no regular person could tow around without being a much larger and visible target such as a IFV. From my own look around the tech list, there does not appear to be any currently existing piece of registered technology that is like this or makes its existence redundant. So I am providing an option to others. I also intend to make use of this suit in the future for factionally based purposes.

Pending approval, Jack Tamblyn CEO Estarra Star Mapping would love to purchase 800 of these bad boys (Total of 100,000,000 credits) for "security" purposes.

I love it - though at the same time I must curse you. I'm working on a very similar project right now, and I happen to be using the MK II Variant of that picture - though I think yours has a few more bells and whistles, and much more armament overall. Guess that's what I get for bein' a slowpoke, huh? xD

At any rate, this walking heap of awesome is summarily Approved!

Thank you, and sorry, at the same time. I was unaware you were working on that.

Oh, that's awesome! In that case, ignore my above statement. Just make sure your faction is approved before you start doing too much. Just a friendly advice from a regular guy.

Oh, no, I know. I'm just getting this out of the way now while I have to wait.
