Ideas for stuff we could be doing!

So, I had some ideas. *jumps up and down excitedly*

I thought we could have some "filler" threads to help transition from this set of battles into whatever happens next. Obviously, the senate is doing stuff like that by sitting around and arguing, but that is nothing new for them.

1) PERFORMANCE REVIEWS, MEDALS, NEW SHIP ASSIGNMENTS etc.

2) A memorial on Denon for the dead and captured. Stirring speeches. Character development. Emotion. etc.

3) Interrogation of captured characters, clean-up etc...

Any other ideas you guys have could be posted here for Commander Jiang to peruse at his leisure.

Strengthen ties with the Jedi and lay down the groundwork for making them far more involved in the conflict. You've got a Grandmaster supportive of being involved in the war, so devoting resources to arming the Jedi would be advantageous.

Whatever happened to Bothuwai land? Did the ground troops get out? Was that decided upon? My soldier was in that thread but it died (no fault of my own).

If not I'm happy to stay down there with my squad, do some guerilla bombings etc...

YAY. I like that idea a lot Denzein. Keeps the RP moving. I'd make overtures to the Jedi, but I am not really authorized. I'm just a Commodore, not the Admiral or chancellor. Thus, I'm not sure how many autonomous actions I am permitted to make.

Would I be allowed to go ahead and post stuff like the Denon Memorial thread?

No offense Commodore, but you weren't there at Denon. You were at Bothawui, so maybe you could speak in that part of the thread, but I feel like the soldiers and officers who served at Denon, along with the Supreme Chancellor or any other senators who might feel thus compelled should post there.

If it's ok, I'd like to go ahead and start the thread with the memorial section for Adara's battlegroup, since that would be a very personal part for her crew only.

Well, maybe we could continue with a Bothawui land battle but it might be taking place all over the planet since the Republic fleet has temporarily retreated and now the Hutts can put their efforts into making several landings all over the planet and defeating the native forces of the planet and the remaining Republic forces.

This absolutely has to happen, and I know Jiang will say so too since that was pretty much one of the major points - if not the major point - of the Jedi coup.

Well, maybe we could continue with a Bothawui land battle but it might be taking place all over the planet since the Republic fleet has temporarily retreated and now the Hutts can put their efforts into making several landings all over the planet and defeating the native forces of the planet and the remaining Republic forces.

What I was thinking is have a hard core small group of Republican survivors of the occupation, who persistently harass the Hutts at every turn, destroying military hospitals (bit harsh but hey they beat us), stealing weapons and supplies, detonating what they can't carry, assassinating the leadership etc.

We'd probably get support from a fair few Bothans too, I mean their planet has been Republican since forever so unless they are enraged at the fact that we couldn't defend them they'd help out. I think.

We've had debates about using soldiers to suicide bomb before, and it didn't go well.

There's a difference between suicide bombing a space station because "**** it, I'm going to lose this battle anyway" and using suicide bombings as a means of fighting back against an oppressive occupying force. Battlestar Galactica had a great storyline with that.

Suicide bombing notwithstanding, the resistance idea is very good. It's something this site has never really explored before and I think that'd be great if you guys tried that.

Thanks for the summary, I was struggling. Suicide bombs never crossed my mind; my man's a patriot, but that's, well, insanity.
