Ideas For Stuffs

Yo fam!

So I know that I literally joined the faction about....three hours ago, but I have a bunch of stuff that I would like to say. I think that this faction has been going in a rather lame direction for the past little while, and I think that with the current changes in leadership are opening opportunities for a lot of growth. In any case, I want to voice my opinions about the way things were being run, and how I think it would be advisable for things to start happening. I know this may not be much my place, but I've gotta give my opinions anyways.

For awhile, it seems that the policy of thee Jedi has been to basically not engage in too much combat with the Sith, and choose instead to wait for them to attack, while then complaining when the Sith decided to attack. That's not great x) I think that the Jedi, despite our slightly weaker member base, should attempt to take hold and pull some of the tactics that we have seen from the more successful Sith faction.

Basically I am saying that we should be aggressive. We should take territory. I understand storytelling and I understand the general desire for things to be focused around storytelling, and I agree that is a wonderful way for the site to be run, but I don't see why storytelling and pvp cannot exist simultaneously.

If I am in any way incorrect in this situation, all of you can tell me how much of an idiot I am, and that's totally okay. But yeah. That's what I'm thinking. What about all of you?

Be aggressive eh? Well... I hear ya. Though I have to admit. With Eli being as busy as he was? There wasn't much stuff to go on around here except Official Missions for the past month. That said. Vosrik recently added the great idea of Faction Story Arcs to really bring our minds and lightsabers together. Using the destruction of the Tython Temple as the first plot hook for the Renewal Arc. So that's pretty cool. I can definitely see your character joining that right away.

As far as the crusade goes. Sure. That's still part of the game and still part of our agreement in working with the Republic. So you'll often see Jedi signing up to do Pub missions and combat stuffs. Plenty of crusading to do. Totally. We're just happy to let the Pub Navy take the lead there for a little bit.

Speaking of Navy's. Eli mentioned recently that our Jedi Fleet resources have grown too. So we have a few frigates now I believe. Which is nice. More guns always helps. So if you are looking to run about smashing heads in Sith space? We've got a few warships now that can make those ideas a reality.

Lastly. Personal initiative is everything when speaking with Faction Staff. So don't be afraid to submit all your great ideas to Vosrik in person. He's a great storyteller and is easy to work with when it comes to making Mission Packets happen. I expect you'll have a busy first month here in the Jedi. Woot woot!

While a little heavy handed, you make some valid points. I can assure that we are definitely talking about how to build up momentum and provide opportunities for all styles of writers to enjoy themselves. As far as I know, Jedi are still allowed to sign up Republic missions and help out there if there is an open spot so that is an option. While it isn't the all-in "Crusade" it was in the beginning of the timeline, battles are coming.

For now, there is are good story opportunities with the Tython Story Arc if anyone is interested in getting more involved with that!
