You say that like a bow and arrow weigh a thousand pounds. XD
No, but try walking around with a bow and quiver full of arrows, and see how far you get in your day.

Hey, if Orlando Bloom can do it, then anyone can!

Traditional Japanese Jiujitsu.

Brazilian JJ is horrible, and missed alot of stuff from the traditional one.

You are remembering incorrectly. Brazillian style is different from the original, but it is not worse. Some techniques changed over the years due to the distance from Japan, but they didn't get worse or get left out. However, it is true that a Japanese and Brazilian styles are noticeably different.

If I could wake up tomorrow as a master of any martial art, it would be a tough decision of which one it would be. There are several that intrigue me, but to be original I'll say a different one.

I'll go with Chen style tai chi chuan.

Using rattans or what? Curious.

Did you read the page? They used...sticks. This form was simple in the set up because it was made for island illagers under constant thread of tribal warfare. Masters could teach the basics to a village full of regular joes, and in a few days they could kick asses with...sticks. Like, wood.

Of course, now they have fancy stuff, but it started as sticks. Go out underneath a tree. Find a stick pick it up. That's it. But, since it is the pacific, they also used bamboo.

Then, you have the awesome sword. Also known as a Barong. Google image it.

Rattans are sticks that don't snap easily, they don't splinter easily, and all that good wood stuff. And you don't really have to use sticks to use it. I've seen Eskrima in action (with rattans used by both parties), and it's basically dual wielded sword fighting with shorter weapons.

In a word, epicness. Or wickedosity.

Indeed. I find it amazing that the Filipinos actually fought bayonets with that technique.

I think sniping, if it's considered a form of combat, would be kickass to master. Taking out enemies from 1000 meters? Sign me up.

Cool story. My dad's father was in Korea. Lots of times, they thought they were being attacked when they weren't. Some of the UN troops there were Turks. The Turks, under the illusion of attack, would draw their knives and bayonets.

They were honor bound not to put away the blades until blood was drawn. So, with no Korean necks to slit, they'd hold the knives in their hands, make a fist around them, and pull. Lotsa blood.
