INTENT
I was originally planning on just making these droids NPCs in my personal threads, but I thought I'd make a tech profile for thm too. They are to act as the droid bodyguards of my Sith character, Lord Callidus. Therefore, they are for personal use and not for sale or market purposes. This actually has an in-story reason as well. The droids were commissioned by the Sith Master Callidus to be his personal guards back when he was still loyal to the Empire. He left the Empire early in their production, and thus only a handful were completed. He took them with him upon leaving the Empire. The tech they are most similar to is Grevious' IG-100 MagnaGuards, but they differ substantially in their design. For instance, they possess "sentience technology", much like IG-88A and B, allowing them far more superior intelligence than the old MagnaGuards. This also allowed Callidus to train them more easily to handle Jedi and other Force-sensitive enemies of his.

DESCRIPTION
A cousin to the ancient IG-100 MagnaGuards of the Clone Wars, the IG-700 Sith War Droids were invented for two purposes. Their primary programming was to serve as loyal, durable, and capable bodyguards for the paranoid Sith Master, Lord Callidus. Their secondary functioning was to assist in the training of any apprentices Callidus would eventually recruit.

To this end, each IG-700 was outfitted in the latest in combat module programming, allowing them the capability to be trained in various combat arts. Callidus used this function to teach each of his personal guards in several forms of lightsaber combat, allowing the droids to combat Jedi and Sith enemies alike. Akin to the IG-88 droid models, sentience technology was also installed into the IG-700 war droids, giving them the capacity to think for themselves. This sentience was only limited by their loyalty to Callidus, which was also programmed into them.

Because Callidus wanted a droid bodyguard capable of fending off both Jedi and Sith alike, the IG-700 was outfitted with phrik plating on its arms, legs, as well as its facial plating. This was done to prevent lightsabers from decapitating the droid, or dismembering the droid, which would ultimately prevent it from fighting. The droid's rather large back unit was then constructed out of duranium, which could withstand a glancing blow from a lightsaber, allowing the droid to move out of harms way before a more crucial blow could be dealt. The rest of the droid's structure was made from titanium and durasteel.

IG-700 was equipped with an internal comlink, used for contacting Callidus, and a HoloNet transceiver for long distance communications. Within their cranial structure, each droid also contained a holoprojector which would allow them to both receive and display transmissions for their master by opening up their facial plating, where the projector was housed. In addition, Callidus had each droid equipped with a grapple-cable shooter, which fired ShrinCord, for grappling purposes: inspired by the B4J4 security droid of old. IG-700 had infrared photoreceptors and also possessed a similar full-spectrum transceiver to an R2-series astromech droid, which it stored within its large back compartment.

Weaponwise, each IG-700 was outfitted with two weapons per arm. Their main weapon of choice was a phrik vibro-ax attached in place of hands. These axes could be used to combat a Jedi's lightsaber in much the same way the electrostaves of the old IG-100 MagnaGuards could. Additionally, these arms cold fold back, revealing two concealed E-11 blaster rifles for long-range attacks.

Each droid's primary weakness was their central chest compartment, which contained their internal computer, and whose plating was made out of mostly titanium (with some durasteel), making it venerable to a well-placed lightsaber strike.
