The battle on Naboo isn't going well for the rebellion I'm a new member to the rebellion an this is my first time role playing but I would like to see us win this battle, the most reasonable way in doing that is winning the space battle over Naboo an I'm asking if any rebels with a ship big or small could lend us a hand in securing the space over Naboo that would help a great deal. At the moment for those that haven't been reading what's happening on Naboo the Empire is winning for the most part but there is still time for the rebels already there to change that I would personally like it if we didn't cut it so close.

Sorry if this seems weird or unconventional I'm a new role playing and I'm still adjusting to things. But again if you could lend the rebellion a hand that would be great.

Sincerly from,

The Rebels aren't going to win this. The Rebels may be growing in a quick pace, and we have gained some new assets of the last months, as well as some missions have been completed but the Rebellion isn't like the Imperium. It is not a galactic superpower, while the Imperium is. Furthermore, the IMperium occupies the most territory for any faction, so the Rebellion aren't going to win.

I don't see the big deal about the battle, and about us winning. Why you may ask?

Is it because it is mostly a no death/maiming/ and capture battle, so nothing bad is going to happen. :)

The bulk of the rebel fleet is controlled by Bac the FL and supper head admin site runner and Wookieepedia dude. He full well know a how the battle is going since Naboo is being run by him.

I understand why you think it isn't a major battle but that is the point, we as the rebellion are the underdogs an aren't expected to win but if what if we do win. As a symbol it could be a sign of a changing of the war that maybe the rebels do have a shot at winning this. An this is what we create there is a small chance at victory anyway the way it was started didn't say that there was no hope that the rebels no matter what they did would lose no I believe we can win an the best way at doing that is winning the space battle we are the characters within the story we can do what we like within reason of course but I would like to think there is a chance.

Sorry if you disagree with me I'm a new RPer an I guess i just see it different but thank you for your feed back.

The rebel players can not bring enough to match the force before them. Only Bac the faction leader can send in the fleet.

Is there any other ships not under Bac command that can be sent to help with the space battle in my opinion that's the only battle we really need to win since with that we can win the rest of the battle with a fleets support. Or can Bac call the fleet an help with the battle of Naboo?

That maybe be true but i can't help but feel worried about all of it. I really want the rebels to win this battle or at least one of the several battles that are happening on Naboo.

Technical yes. Though Bac may have asked them to stay out of it until a certain time.

There is a rebel light cruiser hiding some where. But remember there are a total 14 star destroyers at the Naboo more than the rebels had before Naboo. Story wise the rebel fleet suffered heavy losses and retreated to Naboo. We don't know what losses it took but here is the total rebel fleet including ships with PC commanders.

Rebels really can't win a fixed battle. They could do well in a commando ops and going or insurgent on the imperial forces. Remember they rebels not the galactic alliance or republic. Technically huts out guns the rebels.

Here a quote from the Battle of Naboo OOC intro by the admins that I think can clear up some of the confusion here.

we know how this battle will end. Not with anything on the level of Coruscant, but this moves the story in a direction that it needs to go in order to keep things fresh. We're not going to necessarily tell you the ending, though, since it's an ending that works regardless of the tactical outcome.

It would probbaly be best that we try to not assume who wins or loses until the admins do their big reveal later. As for me I'm just going to focus on having fun RPing or reading the stories of this battle.

The entire Rebel Fleet even before the "Word was Hope Crisis" (That's what I'm calling it now) was hardly a match for the Imperial Battle Group over Naboo right now. A "Win" for us will be a successful tactical withdrawl with most of our forces intact.

That said, we do still have some stiff dick OAF hitters on the way, so get ready to bring the rain :5:

Thanks that gave me some hope though you are most likely right about a victory being a good tactical retreat with as many lives saved but if we get reinforcements there is a small chance of victory in my mind.

Now I know the Admins have a plan. and it's up to them where the story will go but just some foot for thought in case you rebel scum thought you had a snow flakes chance in hell of winning.

The PC Battle Group made by AFL Ravensmark. Even more frightening is the true size of the IAF.

Sorry looks like the battle of Naboo has seem to slow down to a halt and the space battle seems to have stopped so no need to worry now maybe in the next big event with a space battle you can join.

That's uhh, really not accurate at all. All of those battles are still very much ongoing. You're new, so I don't know what kind of pace you're used to, but these major battles like this often take a month or more to finish- the space combat thread, in this case, has only been going on for a few weeks.

I'm not well read up on most of the other threads, but honestly I would not suggest bringing a freighter into the Space Combat right now. My advice would be to find one of the ground battles or full evacuation threads and see who looks like they could use a lift. You could also poke your head into some of the OOC's and just ask.

This. Major threads tend to take a long time on sites like this because there are so many people, especially if things can't be easily autoed, because of timezones, schedules, fatigue, etc. I'm happy to see SWRP handling Naboo so well as it is -- the admins are also doing a good job of coordinating which is never an easy thing to do and the members are posting regularly and well. It's really an impressive feat so far as RP communities go.
