Interest Check - Battle of Alsakan

The title says it all. If you are interested in participating, please post here. There will definitely be a large space battle and ground battle, but as you've no doubt read, the outcome will be predetermined (the Mandalorian & Imperium are victorious). This means you will have far more creative freedom and competition goes out the window to make room for collaborative storytelling.

NOTICE: This is not a sign-up thread for the actual role-play, as we haven't decided on how many there will be total. This is just an interest check to see who is active and willing. Also remember that there is still another battle after this one: Coruscant.

We didn't intend to land our warriors on Brentaal, Anaxes, or Alsakan. The Imperium was supposed to take full responsibility for the planetary invasions, but we had to augment their forces for OOC reasons (they didn't have enough PCs). Our responsibility, since we had the larger fleet, was eliminating the naval forces guarding each system. IC, that's still our responsibility. However, we've been leaving a small contingent at each planet to assist the Imperium. IC, the warriors aboard those vessels represent less than 1% of the forces involved in the planetary invasion. It only appeared as though we played a larger role in those invasions because we had participants in two out of three of the Brentaal skirmishes. IC, there were hundreds of skirmishes occurring all over the planet. Those three role-plays represented just a few.

Corden has been on the frontline since the beginning, commanding the largest fleet ever assembled in galactic history and spearheading the invasion. That isn't going to change. He'll definitely be fighting on the ground at Coruscant, since that planetary invasion will be a joint effort. Just like Brentaal, the planetary invasion of Alsakan isn't our focus. The whole plan revolves around the Mandalorians clearing a path to Coruscant while the Imperium secures each planet along the way and maintains a supply line back to Imperium Space. We're the spearhead, the Imperium is the shaft. If both factions stopped to secure each planet, we'd lose momentum. This whole campaign will be finished in less than a standard week IC. That's unprecedented.
