Hey friends, looking for a break from Star Wars for a bit and wanted to see if there was anyone interested in doing a thread or two in a fantasy setting. We can work out the details if anyone is interested!

Def in, tho you should think about closing it off soon. Too many people leads to quick rp deaths.

Your wisdom knows no bounds. If anyone else is interested, we can also split into two threads as well but for now we will go with those above :)

Lucky me, I'm just gonna use one of my book characters.

English:
Kairo Geonova of Sagat
The Realm of Menoia
The God Of Time

I'm not from around here. No. I mean I'm not from this reality. Dimension. Realm. Take your pick.

I was born a farm boy, but that really didn't last long. At the age of twelve I discovered inside of me something that I couldn't explain. A power that nobody else seemed to be able to tap into. Aura. The manifestation of one's soul. This was... oh... centuries ago. Eons. I can remember because I'm reliving it right now while talking to you. Part of that Aura I was talking about, but put a tab on that for a second. So, twelve year old Kairo, little kid, accidentally uses a little bit of that Aura in public. No problems, right? Oh, there where problems alright. Turns out a Mage by the name of Caelar was on the hunt for any way to increase his powers. Caelar, The Nightstalker, Sage of Winter and The Frozen Heart. He was in town, and he decided that he'd follow me home. My mother never stood a chance, and I could barely do anything when he drained every ounce of aura he could.

He left me alive. That was a mistake. I was determined to get this Aura back, having seen how much it empowered magic users, and the devastation it could cause. Yun, the old healer from my village, agreed to teach me what he knew under the circumstances that he traveled with me, so, I relented and let him go. We traveled the lands, from Sagat to the Silverspire, to Kaer Carwin and our final destination. A broken, shattered temple, buried in the ground. A temple that, out of nowhere, Yun had the power to lift out of the ground and stand it upright. That's when he revealed to me who he really was, and told me what I had unlocked. Angair, the God of Light. A fairy tale. The Gods weren't real. But there he was, teaching me this entire time, disobeying his fellow dieties and pushing the forces of light into balance. Aura was what allowed a mortal to become... something more than they where. To become the physical embodiment of a chosen thing. And it could be anything. He explained that he was a human once too, and he was the first among his pantheon to Ascend, giving me my Aura in return for a promise.

Whatever I chose to become, I needed to do it for the right reasons. It took a couple decades before he told me that he was actually my father. Oh, Caelar, yeah that was an epic battle of catastrophic proportions. A lot of close friends died, but then again they all die anyways, lots of death. Tragedy, sacrifice, the whole nine yards. I spent years devoting my life to becoming the physical embodiment of Time, and that gave me immense power. But Caelar was the physical embodiment of Winter, which gave him a power to match, now that he had the Aura he was almost unstoppable. The damage was already done. That aura had been passed on to his followers, and those followers did the unthinkable: they opened a gate to the hells. And from the hells came horrors that you couldn't possibly imagine. I may have beaten Caelar, but my mistake that day cost an entire realm of existence to change. So now, I go everywhere I can, anywhere I can, any time I can, and I make sure that the underdog always have the little bump they need to complete their quest. I usually appear as a guy, but I can be any age I want, and if I really wanted to I could change my shape. Don't be intimidated by the title, God just means people worship me. The more people? The more powerful my aura. Neat, right?

Old English:

Lest I not from around hither. No. I mean lest I not from this reality. Dimension. Realm. Taketh thy pick.

I wast born a farme knave, but that very much didn't last long. At the age of twelve I discovered inside, something that I couldn't pray pardon. A power that nobody else hath seemed to beest able to tap into. Aura. The manifestation of one's soul. This wast... oh... centuries ago. Eons. I can recall because lest I reliving t right now while talking to thee. Part of that Aura I wast talking about, but putteth a tab on that for a second. So, twelve year fusty Kairo, little peat, accidentally useth a little bit of that Aura in public. No problems, right? Oh, thither whither problems alright. Turns out a Mage by the name of Caelar wast on the hunt for any way to increase his powers.

Tbh I am looking for something a bit more down to earth. I'm sure its an interesting character and all, but I think I want to stick with "Low Level" characters for the thread. Obviously, people can do whatever they want on these boards and there has been a good amount of interest so maybe someone else here would do a thread that would be more fitting for a god character.

What I had in mind was starting off just before a harvest festival in a small, relatively out of the way village. It will give people time to interact and then it can go south from there. I am about to do a write up for a character here in a second. I would only ask that people keep it pretty baseline when making a character as I think it makes for a more interesting starting point. If that isn't your thing, I totally understand not wanting to join.

Raydo I was actually hoping for that exact style of setup lol. I may or may not be online tonight so should have a character up by tomorrow’s eve.

@Raydo I just submitted a character. I caught myself and edited from "expert swordsman" to "graduate swordsman". Still, let me know if he seems too high-level!

I think it's fair for even a " low leveled" fighter type character to be proficient. Looks good!

Lol good. Honestly, my struggle was justifying 'age' with 'level'. I put him at 31, realized he might be a bit of a shabby knight if under 'graduate swordsman'. I settled for 25 years old. In short, I don't want to go for a character younger than 25 and if he's 25 or older I sure don't want a 'novice' of a knight.

Well, I think we will limit this one thread to the people who originally signed up. Anyone is still free to post their characters in the Character thread. Maybe get a small group together to RP different stuff in a shared setting

I like it and agree. Piggybacking off of Sreeya’s input, I also have a long history of group roleplays stagnating due to too many people in the pool.
