For those interested in a criminal syndicate that has its hands in a variety of criminal activities, please consider The Exchange as your new home. We are currently in the beginning phase of needing our initial 5 characters to be approved. We currently have 3, so we are nearly there. This is just an announcement for anyone following this thread, which is one of my initial interest check threads. :)

I'm new here, but from what i've read i love the type of forum set here for creativity.

One organization i haven't seen yet, is a major crime syndicate.

So, i'm putting this idea out there.

Would anyone be interested in forming an independent faction along those lines with me? Similar to the exchange in KOTOR?

I'd love to see something like this! However, it might be better for you to wait a bit longer before diving into faction leadership. Just more time getting accustomed to the site and it's systems.

Perhaps @Outlander . I am no stranger to forum rp, but i am still new here. Still, i am willing to try balancing it with support. I would obviously want to cede to the experience of others in its conception.

@Benvenu7 I've read the dead drop pact, and it's not what i mean. The Exchange is a seedy criminal cartel that doesn't worry about making another faction to protect itself and deceive others. Instead, it just sets up camp and takes over. Plus, i could see it as a viable counter to Czerka, which tries to appear more legitimate, whereas the Exchange embraces what it is, lol.

It may be best to wait, as you say. But at least the idea is out there. /shrug

I know i could use the practice in just rping and enjoying the experience again, rather than just diving in. It's been a while since i've been a part of an active rp community.

I get that. The community here, i've found, is somewhat unique in roleplaying terms, so I just want to make sure you know what you're getting into making a faction.

Besides that, just ask around. There are open threads for anyone to join, and a host of people willing to help you get some practice, and become acclimated here.

yeah, so far i've joined two factions, so hopefully i'll be able to get settled in here soon.

Good! Factions are great ways to get involved in the community if you pick a good one.
