APPEARANCE
[beebox3=500px]Ira stands at approximately 5'10", though she hasn't really had time to check if that's still accurate, lately. That's not very important, though. Neither is her weight. She is rather fit, though, not heavy- set, but a slim sort of muscled like an aerialist, or a contortionist. Her posture reflects the latter, loose and limber and sort of back-leaning, like she's constantly in a precarious pose, ready to be pushed onto her behind; like she's being blown away by the world. Her grip always looks easy and loose like the rest of her, and her gestures are usually very flowing, with lots of flair. Her bows are deep, and her smile is too, if you get the chance to see it, but it all seems very.. superficial in its intensity.

Her skin is light brown, except for on pretty much the entire left side of her head, which is a mess of lighter and darker tones, muddled and burnt flesh laden with scars. The mess starts from the top of her head and travel all the way to her neck and wrap around to her back, flowing the trail of what was supposedly a lick of intense flame. The right side of her face is... well, it's still not perfect. It's not ideal. Instead of burn scars, there's instead wounds from multiple deep laceration across her eye, nose, cheek and lip. The left corner of her mouth is also a bit contorted, a healed-over, deep cut through the meat of her lip turning her left-sided smirks into sneers; she usually smiles with the right side of her mouth to make that a little less obvious - unless she wants it to be seen. Her hair is black, and usually tied up in either a simple back ponytail or a more elaborate side braid, depending on how much effort she feels like putting in. As if compensating for her lack of left ear, her right ear is pierced multiple times.

Her dress depends on if she's "incognito" or not. When she is, she usually keeps things simple with jackets, belts, tight-fitting pants with belt loops, and narrow boots. She wears plenty of jewelry, in a very sort of new-retro "punk" way, sometimes accented with neon glowing pieces. Despite not needing one, she sometimes wears an eyepatch over her left eye. When doing her "various Sith duties", she wears her custom robes and mask, which have all of the dramatic flair expected of her, with loose-fitting pants, a reinforced chestplate, a black "spandex" bodysuit underneath both, black boots, and her trademark mask.

TRAITS
[beebox3=500px]For Ira, life is entertainment. Life is desire. Life is doing things that may not be 100% the best idea all of the time. It's power, too, but really even that isn't as important as doing what you feel like doing - though having power certainly does help in achieving that goal. In a sense, she is a typical Sith, hunting her passion and reveling in what she's capable of doing... and yet, somehow atypical as well, in her very.. outgoing and expressive nature. She doesn't often hide what she is - ironic, considering the mask - and she isn't scared to admit how she feels and what she does. She doesn't seem to feel fear.[/beebox3]
[beebox3=500px]
That is, of course, bullshit, but she tries not to let people catch on to that.

Ira has a very... intense sense of "justice." her justice is that those who mess with her should be crushed. Anyone who tests her, or hurts her, or hurts anyone or anything she cares about has to be eliminated with no remorse. No hesitation. Hesitation costs you too much, and if you're too much of a coward to stand up for what's important to you, then what are you worth? Often times, she'll go out of her way to crush those who attack less-fortunate innocents, such as underworld criminals, gangs.. and Hutts. She views herself as a sort of vigilante, albeit a very skewed version of one. A greedy, self-centered vigilante who follows her own whims and desires.

Her speech and behavior is, at its core, somewhat juxtaposed on itself. Paradoxical. Her theatrical nature lends to using almost noble-sounding turns of phrase, but in a lax manner, as if the nobility of it doesn't really amount to anything more than her own amusement in it. She dodges between slang, ribbing, and long, unnecessary run-on sentences as easily as she dodges up walls. She is flirtatious, a very "debonair" sort of character, like a gentlewoman thief of hearts - at least, on the surface.

Her lightsaber training has focused mainly on the unpredictable and difficult Form VII, or Juyo style. As this is a difficult style to master - though she works very hard at it - she has also trained in the less-difficult Form IV, or Ataru style. The combination of these styles leads her to be a very fluid and aggressive fighter, with a focus on doing a lot of damage in short bursts before retreating to a safer distance with a series of athletic leaps and dives. Her focus is more in physically avoiding strikes than it is in parrying them, thus making her a quick and enduring fighter. Her Ataru training has let her be skilled in dealing with blaster fire, as well. She is weakest in very confined spaces where she is forced into one-on-one, close range battle exclusively, as she suffers when unable to retreat from a physically superior opponent. She has practiced some in the Form III, or Soresu, though she does not favor it, and mainly uses it to enhance her blaster-parrying and doding technique. Her left side is also her weaker side, as her hearing is null on that side of her body. She typically wears her mask to hide this particular drawback, though it will still effect her in combat if she isn't constantly moving to keep her opponent on her good side.

Powers-wise, she is most skilled in Telekinesis, having shown a proficiency for tapping into the emotions necessary to control it from a young age. A specialty skill she's practiced using it is using Telekinesis to "cling" to walls and the sides of structures, by focusing a strong, centralized telekinetic pull under her hands and feet. Using this in conjunction with her Ataru training, her ability to move vertically is often just as fast as her horizontal movement. She has trained in the Sith-variant of the Art of Movement, Force Leap and Force Dash so her speed and ability to traverse most terrains is nothing to sneeze at. one of her favortie forms of attack employs these techniques, which boils down to "swooping" upon her opponents from above. She is also proficient at Force sight and Force sense, specifically to help her compensate for her lack of left ear. Some other skills she'd be considered "decent" in are Force cloak, though she has only mastered muffling the sound she makes and not making herself truly invisible, and Force stealth, though she can only hide her alignment and shrink the radius of her aura only slightly.

BACKSTORY
[beebox3=500px]Ira Arnev Courone (ear-ra arr-nev core-own) was born in Coruscant on Level 1914, below the surface of the planet. The Undercity, as people called it, was her home - and, more specifically, a dingy shack on a sidestreet in a bad neighborhood was her home. To be fair, though, most of the neighborhoods in the Undercity were bad. It was just a bad place, a bad time in general to be down there. So, really, she had a normal life. In fact, you could probably say Ira grew up with a relatively happy life - at least, at first. Both of her parents were alive and well; her father, Auskar Courone and her mother, Keicha Courone. They were a happy, if not stressed out, little family, eeking out a lower-middle-class lifestyle between her father's work as a street-cart chef, and her mother's job as a droid repairwoman. Makign ends meet was.. hard, but not impossible, and the young Ira loved her parents, and lived as peacefully as possible in an underbelly plagued by skeevey individuals and gang crime.[/beebox3]
[beebox3=500px]

As she grew older, Ira began to help however she could, usually doing deliveries of parts and food for her mother and father, respectively. She'd saved up her allowance for a janky old repulsor-scooter, and she'd scoot around, making deliveries after school, riding around with her friends, the whole nine yards. The only real 'problem' she had was a group of bullies who picked on her after classes, and a strange... 'aura' she seemed to have gained that let her, when frustrated with something, pick it up and throw it at all wall without touching it. She didn't tell her parents. She didn't tell anyone. So it was okay. Her life was.. idyllic. Something to be envied by the other children, for sure.

Like all tales of idyllic childhoods, though, it'd take a turn for the worse.

Honestly, it wasn't even that dramatic, though. It wasn't special. It was just an explosion from a makeshift firebomb tossed into the family home one day after school. Turns out, their house was right on the border between two warring gang factions. And next to a fuel pipeline. Which was next to one of the gang's hideouts. So really, it was all a.. happy accident. they were collateral. Ira's dad didn't survive the explosion, but Ira did, and so did her mother. Why? Something had called out to her. Something had told the young Ira to act. Some sort of deep, instinctual something in Ira's gut told her to PULL. And she did, tearing a plate from the walls of their shack and pulling it in front of herself and her mother. She caught it in time to fully shield her mother.. but not herself. Flame and shrapnel scored her across the face, and though she turned away in time to spare her right side from the burns, her left side was engulfed before she could get the makeshift shield totally in front of her. She blacked out after that.

When she woke up again, she was on a ship. Her mother told her days had passed. Her burn still hurt, but they weren't in a hospital. Her mother told her that their home was destroyed, and her mother had fled to the nearest public hospital. She'd gotten Ira basic medical care, then sold everything she and her father had to buy a small ship. She'd seen what Ira was capable of; seen that she had a better future in front of her than a meager existence on Corsucant. She was taking her to Korriban. The Sith would see her potential. they'd mold her into someone more powerful, more clever. Someone great. Her mother dropped her off with the Academy, spoke to some individuals in robes, and then left. This was the last time Ira would see her.

And so began her new life. It became a blur of strict training, pain, and intermittent hilarity as she tried to push the limits of acceptable and keep a.. surprisingly lighthearted attitude as she aged, even as she was beaten and berated for her "weakness", her "deformity". Perhaps it was a defensive mechanism, a facade she put up to keep herself sane. Despite her odd nature and her scars, she was passed from hand to hand, trained in a variety of styles alongside other pupils. One of her Masters, a Zabrak, eventually gave her the idea of wearing something to cover her weaknesses, so none could take advantage of them. He helped her get the necessary supplies for her mask and, eventually, for the rest of her bodysuit. Years passed, training passed, and she became a Maurader. A free-roaming killer. A warrior of the Sith.

The first thing she did was go back to Coruscant and tore those gangs apart. She looked for her mother, but nothing turned up. She moved on. As she always does, she moves on. She continues on now, doing what she does best; whatever she wants.

I'd be super down with that!! I'm sure they'd be a great team. Or make a huge mess. Probably out of the heretics. Though that'd probably still make them a great team???

Thank you!! yeah I thought about making her sort of.. very obviously 'off-kilter', but I thought a more subtle approach would be fun! I'm excited to really flesh out both sort of 'sides' of her.

Ooh.. I was gonna have her just join the Sith Order, but Inquisition could be good too...
Could they still work together even if they were in two different 'groups'?

Yeah of course, the Inquisition is just a very religious and fanatic sub-group of the Sith and if I don't understand things wrong, despite being the smallest group, they hold a high amount of authority, kind of like the Spanish Inquisition

Oooh.. I do like that. I went and looked over them, and I don't know if Ira is quite religious enough for the Inquistion, or really diplomatic enough for a priestess. She could do inquisitor, maybe, but I may just stick with the Sith Order... Classic Style...

Once the big man, aka the Emperor, gives you the A-okay, we should purge some heretics.

I like how she doesn't feel forced. Neat and proper profile, rather interesting too. Definitely a sweet character.

Do let me know if you wanna get her out and about with a fellow marauder.
