It's a tradition on Corellia to cremate the dead and compress their ashes into a diamond. I was wondering if my Jedi (who is Corellian) could take the diamonds of his father (a retired Jedi) and his lover (who was slightly Force-sensitive), attune himself to them, and get two completely unique, personalized lightsaber focusing crystals. It seems like it should, since a lightsaber can be focused through virtually anything, and if the Jedi has an attachment to that object, it becomes even stronger. My thoughts would be that both crystals would respond uniquely to him, in a manner similar to the Jedi Exile's crystal.

It's doable but for the most part I don't think crystals affect much.

I really don't see how a diamond made from cremated remains somehow becomes a focusing crystal for a lightsaber. Not any crystal you can scavenge can be used as a focusing crystal: that's why places like Ilum were considered sacred (thus important) to the Jedi.

EDIT: Alright, I looked up saber crystals and I suppose it is possible, but I'd highly doubt a padawan would have the skills to make the diamonds usable for a lightsaber: Maul had to use the Force to manipulate his crystals to take proper shape and assume proper properties in order to work for his lightsaber.

Actually, almost anything can focus a saber, even noncrystalline rocks like Kunda stones o.O And since every Padawan (essentially) has made their own lightsaber, they would logically have teh skill to attune themselves to the crystals involved, particularly if they already had some sort of personal connection to them.

'Almost everything' sounds like an overstatement, but I see your point.

I remember in I, Jedi Corran Horn used an emerald as his color crystal. I'd imagine a diamond would work.

I think he meant not for color but for effects. Like Quinoxi and Solari.

Ah. Then go for it, SWRP isn't stat based.

Cool. This allows me to add an interesting dimension to the character (carrying his loved ones around all the time, and whatnot).

Sounds like that would work. I say do it if you really want to.
