A woman with long, dark brown hair and blue eyes rivaling the seas of mon calamari finishes unloading supplies from a freighter and looks up at the jedi temple in awe.
"Finaly here, now if I only knew why..."
Walking slowly up the temple steps she marvels at the size and design of the temple. Looking for a directory and finding none, she steps forward to ask someone...

Seeing no one, she wonders wether there are no jedi currently at the temple or perhaps they were all gathered for some ritualistic cannibalism. She knew nothing about jedi, but had not eard that they were killers. For all she knew they could all be some funny looking race like the quarren. Isis didn't speak Quarren so she hoped that wasn't the case.
Venturing further into the temple she came upon many empty rooms that contained chairs or tables. Eventualy coming to the library, at least it looked like a library. She had never seen so many data disks in one place, and they all seemed to be categorized i a way that she couldn't figure out.

((Assuming you're not waiting for someone in particular, if you are I'll take out my post. :O) ))

It wasn't a Quarren that met Isis'es eyes as she turned the corner, looking down one of the tall columns of data storage. Instead it was a man in his early forties, plugging in datadisk after datadisk, seemingly uploading information. He was dressed interestingly- covered from neck to foot in a tight black longsleeve, deep green vest, and black pants with boots, a green stripe running down the leg. Anyone who had ventured into the Core or even seen a holofilm could see he was of Corellian decent, as if the colors didn't scream it already. A bag lay at his feet, full of old-fashioned books, charts, and maps, mixed in with more current incarnations.

As she stepped in his field of vision he turned and let out a light, welcoming smile.

"Oh, hello there."

OOC: Very sorry I didn't specify open on the thread i'll, do that now. I guess i have to ask a admin to do it for me. Glad you replied though, and very nice to meet you!

Isis walked along the rows until around one she saw a man bent over apparently retreiving data or adding to it. Her thoughts wee interupted when he smiled and greeted her. Isis suddenly felt like an intruder, walking into the temple uninvited, she wasn't raised like that.
"Oh, uhm, please excuse me I was just looking..." saying guiltily, she did not in truth know what she was looking for. An answer to the question, why her grandfather had told her to come here, she thought.
Deciding manners were the best thing to do, she introduced herself.
" I am Isis, Isis Roh. Perhaps you could help me?"

Aevis Santoro nodded, then straightened up and brushed off his already spotless vest- an obvious force of habit. He nodded and smiled, extending a hand and shaking Isis'es in a very un-Jedilike hello.

"I'm Aevis Santoro. I'm no librarian, but I'm sure I can at least point you in the right direction." He smiled again, picking up his bag and putting it over his shoulder. He tapped a few keys on the console to log off, then turned back.

"How may I be of service, miss Roh?"

Isis smiled back, they sure were nicer here than other places in coruscant.
"Well, my deceased grandfather told me to come here and get help from the jedi. I don't really know a lot about jedi, but my entire family was murdered, so i came here. I really don't have anything other than those words he left me."
Isis thought back to when her grandfather was killed, and felt a deep sorrow wash over her. She sighed heavily and steeled herself against the sadness she felt for not being able to protect her clan, and the anger she felt at their dead murderers.
Now was not the time for such thoughts, she needed to get on with her life. These jedi must know why her grandfather sent her here...

Aevis raised an eyebrow, the outburst catching him off guard. He had half expected the young woman to ask how to find information, it hadn't really crossed his mind she wasn't part of the Order. The Force was in her, so he figured it was only a matter of time. He put on his best fatherly smile and put a hand on her shoulder, emanating comfort and peace in the Force.

"Well, the Jedi believe that you're not gone after death. You simply move on to... Somewhere else. All part of life." He made an effort to look her in the eye.

"And you've come to the right place, miss Roh. The Temple is a place of learning, but also of healing. We can get you the help you need."

The man comforted Isis, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Well, the Jedi believe that you're not gone after death. You simply move on to... Somewhere else. All part of life."

Isis didn't understand these words, but looking at his eyes, always smiling she felt like she could believe anything he said.

"And you've come to the right place, miss Roh. The Temple is a place of learning, but also of healing. We can get you the help you need."

Did he think she needed healing? She felt fine enough, but she could use all the help she could get.

Isis was suddenly struck with the urge to know more about these people. She felt an urge to know, tugging deep inside her.

"I'd like to learn more about the jedi, are you a jedi, what is a jedi, and what do they do?

Santoro grinned. She was eager to learn, and that was always a good sign. He began to walk out of the data stacks and towards a study table in a slightly concealed part of the library- he didn't want to interrupt anyone's studies.

"Well, if you wanted to learn about Jedi, you're certainly in the right place," he said as he waved his arm casually, indicating the towering shelves.

"These are the Jedi Archives. Every bit of information that we as an Order have collected over thousands of generations, ranging from galactic affairs to the height of your last boyfriend. They say that if it isn't in the Archives, it simply doesn't exist." He turned to look at her, preparing to address her second question.

Aevis was technically a Jedi, just... A poor one. Absent most of his life, the words still felt strange coming from his lips.

"Yes, I am a Jedi Knight. We, as an order, serve an omnipresent power which we simply call the Force. We use it for protection, enlightenment, or in my case gathering knowledge." He finally reached the vacant study table and set down his bag, wordlessly offering Isis a seat.

"We've been doing this for many years, and have helped many people like you right the wrongs in the galaxy. It's our specialty."

Isis followed him to a table in a corner as he told her about himself and the jedi order. She had been hooked, something pushed her to gain as much knowledge as possible on these jedi, and it wasn't her inner child wanting to explore new things.

"What is this omnipresent force thing, like a secret weapon or something?"
She asked sitting down at the table.

You couldn't serve a weapon though, and it didn't bring enlightenment, Isis was at a loss to imagine what this 'force' could be. It helped people, perhaps a some kind of medicine that cured anything, even negative emotions?

Santoro grinned.

"If we knew what it was, then our job would be complete." He sat down, folding his hands and looking Isis in the eye. She was a smart girl- cut straight to the point... She'd make a fine Jedi, indeed.

"While this isn't my specialty, I'll tell you what I do know. The Force is in everything. In you, in me, and in the very planet we walk on. It is life in the very purest sense of the word, and it can be used to heal, or in my particular case augment our physical abilities. We cannot find it's source, but we can study it's effects." He paused, collecting his thoughts before he began to ramble.

"Some people do use it as a weapon, but the Jedi do not. We use it much like a shield when it comes to combat, and we try to rid the galaxy of those who would use it to dominate." He shrugged. "I won't dance around the topic, Isis, you have the gift that all of us do- you can manipulate the Force. Whether or not you're fit to learn our methods is another story."

Isis found this fascinating. The force was, life? She found it hard to wrap her mind around the concept. As Aevis continued to tell her that she apparantly had the gift to use this power, she was stunned.
"I can use it? I'm not special though" She sputtered, "I don't have any special powers, i'm just a normal girl from Chazwa!"

"And I was a farmer on Corellia, but you wouldn't have guessed by looking at me." He had a momentary smile as he thought back to what seemed like a lifetime ago. Sometimes he missed the simple lifestyle... But most of the time he was happy with where his path had gone.

"Let me guess, though. You have an unnatural ability to tell what's next, be it holodramas or a sports event. You have an uncanny amount of deja vu, and you can almost tell what people are feeling." He raised an eyebrow, assuming a yes.

"All of these are potential traits for Force Sensitives- those who can use the Force. Does it sound right to you, Isis?"

Isis thought for a moment, she did sometimes feel what others felt, and she definetly saw things before they happened, at least, in the few serious fights she had been in.
"Yeah, i guess so. Sometimes i feel, like something else is pushing me forward, choosing the path i would have chosen myself, but before I think it."
This must have been why her grandfather had told her to come here, how did he know she had the gift? She had to honor him, and that meant learning the jedi way, no matter what it took.
"I wish to learn the ways of the Jedi" The words that came out of her mouth had been used by so many others before her, each a legend, wether they turned to the dark side or not. Her life, and the galaxy, was about to change...

Santoro nodded, leaning back in thought. She was a little older than the ideal age. So was I when I began my training... He nodded, looking her over one more time before giving his answer.

"I don't see why you wouldn't be accepted, especially in these times. The Order is stretched thin though, so finding an appropriate master may prove difficult. I'm assuming you haven't spoken to any of the Masters, so that might be your first step. I'll give you my recommendation, whatever that's worth."

Step by step, Ross made his way up the steps of the temple.
It was a beautiful sight in a beautiful city. He never imagined how large the temple itsself was. But seeing it brought two people to his mind as he looked at its beauty.

His wife that had passed on and his father. He knew his father was a Jedi and that his wife always wanted him to be one because Ross dreamed of being one. His face grimmaced for a moment as he thought of his wife.
Her beauty and exhistence brought peace to his mind but sorrow in the heart.

If only she could of been here with him to see it. As he walked on, Ross passed by a man and woman talking amongst themselves, Ross thought nothing of it. But he kept on looking at the temple in all its splendor.

Isis said calmly, but with fierce determination,"Even if no master can teach me, and I am never able to enter these archives, I will become a jedi. I must honor my grandfather's last wish. No matter what."
She looked at Santoro and realized that she was standing, and had knocked her chair over. She apologized immediatly,"I'm sorry, it's just that I...I feel that I should honor my family as much as I can."Her eyes began to wet as she remembered her clan, and how she was unable to help them, even her grandfather's death seemed at least in part, to be her fault. If she hadn't led the slavers to his house...
Wiping her eyes, she managed a smile and bowed before Santoro, "I am extremely grateful to you for all your help, and I would very much appreciate your reccomendations for a master."

"I like your spirit. It's nothing to apologize for, I was much the same way when I was your age." Santoro stood, straightening his vest once more. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted a man walking through the Archives, seemingly out of place.

Is it open house on the Temple today? He changed his posture to make it clear he was available to help, but kept his eyes on Isis.

"I'd gladly offer my own services as your Master, but I'm currently dedicated to another Padawan- slightly unorthodox to have two, though not unheard of should you find the available Knights unsuitable." He paused, obviously thinking.

"The only available Knight is Ryaco Lyper [Forum Name Aussie Legend]- you may want to contact him."

Ross heared the man's remark and suspected he was a Jedi not just because of his robes. Turning directly torwards the two, Ross walked a couple feet behind the man as he his own tatterd robes revealed his lightsaber hilt for a moment before Ross coverd it quickly so he wouldnt cause to much attention.

But what would the response be if someone did see it? Obviously he would tell them that it was his fathers since it truly was. But someone might believe something otherwise.

Isis kept quiet, thinking about how she could find this Jedi that santoro mentioned. She didn't notice another man approaching, being so engrossed in her thoughts.
