The figure continued its relentless assault before River's hand came out at it. The wave of Force energy slammed into the cloaked body sending it sailing. Floating through the air from afar the scene would look like that of a ghost casted into the sky. The body seemed to fly with no control, spinning with no central axis, with a final slam into one of the dense wroshyr trees. With a crack the eerie silence of the Shadowlands was broken, aside from that subtle hum of the lightsaber.

The neck of the figure had connected with the heavy wood that flowed through the forests, breaking it in two. The sounds of air being longed for hummed from figure's downed heap. With a final roll the hood fell aside and the figure's face was finally revealed. Underneath the cloak was an elegant woman dressed much like the two that knew they weren't alone in the Shadowlands. Her face had been pummeled as if she had taken a constant pummeling from fists and other blunt objects. Any skin that was visible seemed tainted by the bruises or burns, more than apparent she was tortued. The former Shade member stared at her two comrades before falling limp, obviously dead from the torture combined with the broken neck. The intent of this attack was to break River, have her kill a comrade despite her knowing, hopefully break her will.

Meanwhile the Dark Jedi watched from above, hanging from the trees and waiting for their moment to attack.

((Sorry for taking too long. E3 was distracting.))

Valek had seen the figure charging and drew his magnum, but couldn't take the shot with them being so close to River. After seeing her deal with the crazy, and revealing who it was, Valek lowered his magnum and released a single sigh. He couldn't hold sadness for their fallen Shade, only pity. He turned to River, noticing she did not look too injured.

"They broke her, made her see their ways. Don't concern yourself for this loss, if she killed you, I would kill her and two bodies would be here."

He spoke, looking around some with his magnum ready, having that feeling that they were being watched by something... or someone.

"Suggest we find one responsible, to prevent this from happening again."

"So... she was one of us, then." River said, somewhat disheartened.

As difficult as it was for her to say, the though had crossed River's mind. A lightsaber required special training to construct, even for a Force sensitive. All things considered, it was almost impossible for a random collection of Force adepts to have the knowledge. The alternative River hoped for, was that the girl had stolen a lightsaber from a dead Shade.

"Yeah, I'm all for finding the one responsible."
River said, turning her lightsaber around in a Shien sub-stance. "This has gone way too far, and I'll be damned if I let whoever is behind this get away."

The Shadowlands were becoming darker as time passed, the feeling of the Darkside only seemed to grow in that darkness. The flora and fauna were almost coming to life it seemed like, animals erupting out their various sounds, causing it to ring off the various trees and rock. The open space was almost intimidating as it held no light thanks to the tree tops, it would not be long before the entire canopy forced the forest-bed into complete darkness.

Meanwhile Kur'kesh moved slowly from tree to tree, each leap he made was as silent as the last, never allowing his silence to be broken. Each of the men under his command were assassins by trade, each a darkside follower. Reaching out through the Force he spoke to one of them and him alone.

"Stalk them... kill them if you get the opportunity."

"Yes, my Master."

The silence would be broken as the assassin leaped from his own tree and came down hard on the floor of the Shadowlands. Moving quickly any sounds his landing had let off would cast as a distraction off the dense wood. Cloaked by a stealth generator the lone Dark Jedi slowly crept behind the two, each second moving him closer to his goal.
