It's Always Kessel
Pyke Syndicate
Also known as the Pyke Family, it is a spice cartel predominantly run by the Pyke species and based on Oba Diah. A major figure in the spice trade–holding a monopoly over spice cultivation since the demise of Jabba the Hutt–the Pyke Syndicate ensures the flow of the deadly drug from the mines of Kessel to other worlds such as Coruscant by hiring smugglers and freighter captains for Kessel Runs. During the Clone Wars, the criminal organization was part of Darth Maul's Shadow Collective. Since the early years of the Empire, the Pyke Syndicate has also started mining coaxium on Kessel. It has an enduring feud turned rivalry with Black Sun, the organization that once sought to absorb it.
Carr Pyke is first and foremost a smuggler. Fellow spaceship captains respond well to her because unlike other crimelords she has actually piloted a sub-par ship through the Kessel Run and knows what it is to run blockades and fight with customs. But she can't protect what's hers with just smugglers alone and her allies are beginning to notice she's low on muscle.
Prompted by their rivalry and the need to get recognized as the leader by the falleen council, Xar of the Black Sun has persuaded Vivienne Donatade of the Crimson Dawn, Xori Xaa Hafven of the Crymorah and Durr the Hutt, representative of the Hutt Cartel, to take control of Kessel away from the Pykes and split it evenly between four of them instead.
They've waited until Carr Pyke personally escorted a shipment to Coruscant to strike. That way the Pykes on Kessel will be without their leader for two whole weeks and that gives the 4S enough time to execute their plan, which is as follows:
Blockade the Run [Self-DM]
In changing shifts of two fighters at a time, the Kessel Run will be blockaded for every Pyke-affiliated smuggler. No cargo will be allowed to pass through to leave Kessel and no smuggler will be allowed to land and pick up cargo.

The Pyke Syndicate aren't fools. Kessel is home to one of their most skilled gunslingers: the Zeltron enforcer Silas Modoll. He resides in an outpost close to the coaxium mine and he needs to be taken out before non-pyke ships can safely refuel. This is not an easy task and the scoundrels drawing the shortest straw should be really kriffing careful.

Before loading it on small freighters, most of the spice is stored in depots and put under guard. Now, if you want control of Kessel that means you want its natural resources. Unfortunately for some scoundrels that means they're assaulting a guarded depot in order to claim it for the 4S.

If you're controlling the access to Kessel, there's no reason why you can't begin to exploit it effective immediately. Two scoundrels will load up a freighter with vials of Glitterryll and to transport it to Corellia. Too bad most of the pirates along the way still think the Pyke Syndicate has a monopoly on the substance and won't mind it at all to take it off their hands.

Some workers deep inside the coaxium mine feel some misguided loyalty to the Pyke Syndicate and are refusing to work for anyone else. They've overpowered a couple of scoundrels and are now holed up, shooting at anyone coming close to the coaxium nodes. Two scoundrels are given stun-capable blasters and tasked to end this little miner's revolt.

The other syndicates managed to claim complete dominion over Kessel for a good two weeks before Carr finally requested them to the table. She had done her homework and knew that the other crime lords were already squabbling over percentages and boots on the ground. She showed them exactly why she was the at the head of the Pyke Syndicate:
It's an ambush! [Dice] Completed || Dice thread
Two scoundrels oversee the distribution of spice from the outpost close to the coaxium mine, but regardless of personal delusions they weren't as skilled with a blaster as their Zeltron predecessor had been. In the darkness of night, just when they were starting to get sleepy, three waves Pyke-loyalists attack the outpost. To safe face they'll have to defeat at least one wave before high-tailing it out of there.

Carr's tactic paid off and control of Kessel was splintered going into the third week. All Crime Lords were now only concerned about the net losses of delayed spice shipments. Begrudgingly Carr admitted that the Black Sun dealt her a massive blow, just so that Xar could then demand praise from the Falleen Council, before all parties agreed to return to the status quo. They returned the monopoly on spice trade to the Pyke Syndicate and the latter agreed to turn a blind eye to the spice shipments the other parties sold in that three-week period.
Scoundrels involved can expect a reputation boost within their own syndicate.
