Captain Du'Varragh stood atop the platform as he watched the new pilots, and pilot hopefuls gather around the small holo projector below him. Satisfied they were all in order, the Captain finally spoke.
" Good evening Pilots, I don't want to get too personal just yet. Your all wet behind the ears, and this test will tell us if your ready to be official pilots in the Jade armada. So listen up!
Two small pirate bands hold dominance over this sector The Blood fang, and the wraith hawks. Tensions between them are currently quite high, several skirmishes between the two groups have left them hurting for supplies. Our aim is to exploit this situation.
As you can tell, we are currently cut off from our main facilities at the moment, and the secret of our position in this system, and our very existence is vital and needs to be maintained.
That said. You rookies will be headed out in custom interceptor uglies similar to the ones used by the blood fangs. We have gone as far as to paint the craft with their logo's, and use their com frequencies.
Two wings designated " Zhu, and Kas " will drop out of hyperspace outside wraith held space. the gang has a storage cache of containers with technical parts, rations, and other supplies needed by the pirates. Your job is to scan these containers, and mark anything technical, so that we may send a shuttle to confiscate these goods. Containers with spice, weapons, or rations is to be ignored, however if you feel like taking a few shots at them I would not mind.
It should be a pretty cut and dry mission. However, the Supply Frigate War-hound, and it's escort has been reported to be in the area, presumably to gather supplies. It may be a close call, but we should be in and out before they arrive.
Now, get to your fighters, and good luck."

A message sent directly to the pilots.
"As you are aware the technical equipment is the primary concern, however do not be so hasty to destroy rations or weapons. You will be provided with two marking methods. One for the equipment per your briefing and another for any containers with weaponry. Eliminate all enemy fighter craft and mark all weapons containers.
If you accomplish this your superiors will be quite pleased with your skill, and the extra resources for the additional weapons will assist us quite well. Good hunting."
The JA logo marks the end of the message.

Com systems throughout the fleet blare to life in the sill of what would be the Armada's night cycle. The voice of the high admiral following the warning tones, her tones were cold and sharp, giving voice to her frustration of what she was about to report.
All staff to alert status, all command staff , and fighters report to operation posts at the ready. Republic forces have been spotted two systems over in the Ando system. Be prepared for possible engagement. This is NOT a drill.
Tila herself read the reports and sneered. It was a suicidally bold move on behalf of the republic. She knew full well who the Republic forces were targeting... the very fact that they chose a target surrounded by independent and VERY hostile systems spoke of the wreckless, or perhaps insidious planning behind the move. This was something she could not take lightly.
