Ja rarely trusts anyone and is often very quiet occasionally mistaken for a mute; he is so quiet due to his history as an abused slave. Ja is also very nosy which has allowed him to learn about math and science from his Master.

PERSONALITY: Ja is very quiet and withdrawn. Once he was louder and more outspoken, but after several beatings by the Master he withdrew and became less sociable. He is also very curious and combined with his quiet demeanor he is rarely noticed when snooping. Ja is very smart although he doesn’t let it on. He prefers quietly learning than attacking openly although he will fight if called upon.
HISTORY: Ja was born into slavery. His master Lord Loroi was a cruel master. He beat anyone for the slightest mis-conduct, when Ja was born his family did not posses a last name and so, like the other slaves, he received the master’s last name. This would be a constant reminder of his heritage.
Growing up was rough Ja was always short and picked on by the other slaves. Although they banded together to fight the snotty noble children, even if they received wicked beatings if they were caught. Ja had once had a Force vision, although he didn’t know what it was at the time, of him free from slavery. After having this vision he stood up to the Master and was beaten worse than ever before. After that he received less visions although he did not completely abandon the Force. He often used it to help him hear what the Master would say about science to the other guests who would come over. He later found out his master was a high up scientist.
After eight years of a horrid quiet life Ja was rescued by a group of rogue freedom fighting offshoots that were liberating slaves. A Jedi had been with them helping them to free the slaves and he sensed the Force in Ja. He sent Ja to the Jedi academy at the age of nine where he would be trained in the ways of the Force. After seven years studying Jedi history and philosophy Ja left the order to try and find another group that could train him. Eventually he found the Shade and was trained in their beleifs and the Force. Ja beleives this is his purpose and follows the Shade almost without question.
