+ Highly intelligent:
She's the kind of person where you either copy their homework, or steal it and put them headfirst into the nearest trashcan.. Depends on your sense of ethics really.
Seriously, she has a very high IQ and can absorb complex information and remember almost everything she has read.
+ Inquisitive/Curious:
She is driven to learn about almost all aspects of any topic, from history through to science, literature... The girl is just a total swot. :)
+ Natural Force abilities:
She has an innate ability to experience Force Visions of the future, and her Telekinesis is also very strong but untrained. She also has a natural ability to heal, which likely stems from her caring nature.
+ Determined/Hard Working:
She's the type of person who will not rest until every assignment is complete. This girl is no slacker.

She will pretty much run and hide from anything, if it is even slightly dangerous or threatening.
- Shy/Timid:
She rarely speaks her mind, except when she's around someone she's known for a long time. She is quite softly spoken as well, causing her to often be overlooked or ignored in group activities.

She may understand every aspect of how a hydrospanner works, but just try putting one into her hands and asking her to fix something for you; you are more likely to end up with a pile of bolts than a mended appliance.

She'd probably struggle to beat a baby Nexu in an arm wrestling contest.
PERSONALITY:
Jade is a kind and gentle person.
"Lovely, shy, and wouldn't hurt a fly" is how her mother used to describe her, and nothing has really changed. Jade had a close and caring relationship with both her parents. The Swyft family were a tightknit bunch, nothing could get between them.
Jade has always been innocent, naive mainly due to being sheltered from the galaxy's problems. All she was ever told of her mothers death was that she died during the 5th war. Jade is a pacifist, besides the obligatory swordplay training she refused to train with any kind of weaponry, and she would never fight even when provoked. She took no part in war or conflict of any kind. Her gentle nature would never have been suited to fighting in the 5th war, she was fortunate to have been too young and sheltered from the horrors of the war.
Jade loves to read and study, a true bookworm. Her social skills are somewhat lacking though, in contrast to her academic skills. She has very few friends, mostly because she is shy and doesn't reach out to people.
BIOGRAPHY:
0-7 years
Jade had a fairly normal and uneventful upbringing. Her father, Homer Swyft, brought her up with love and kindness. As did her mother Persephone, though she was often away on some kind of business. Nobody told Jade what the business was, and she was too happy and contented with playing with her toys to worry, plus the servants entertained her as well.
Jade's life was privileged, secure and simple. Until the day just before her seventh birthday, due to her great force sensitivity, and despite her mothers wishes to the contrary, Jade's father committed her to train with the Holy Order of the Paladins of Mortis. He was a staunchly devoted member of the Church, he had no time for these Blackguard of the Son 'apostates' that had seperated themselves from the original doctrine. He wanted Jade to be fully immersed in the culture and beliefs he'd tried to raise her to believe in.
She loved to study, and thus took to the educational programme like a duck to water. Some would view the Order's Schools as places of brainwashing and the stifling of independent thought, but Jade enjoyed it and took the religious views she was taught to heart.
Age 8-15
Around Jade's eighth birthday, the fifth and final Blackguard war began. Her mother was sent out to fight in the war, for she was well known for her strength with a lightsaber and power in the Force. Shortly after being sent out, though, Persephone disappeared. She was presumed dead. Nobody told Jade this at the time, though her father knew of the disappearance and chose to shelter Jade from this knowledge. 'It would only divide her mind with stress and worry', he thought.
Fortunately for the pacifistic girl, Jade was far too young to be sent out to fight. She was hidden as far as possible from the sites of battle, and continued her education throughout the war in hiding. Her father stayed with her, feeling that his daughter came first, and besides now he was elderly and unwell, he wouldn't have lasted five seconds in a fight with the Blackguard warriors.
They survived the war, and supported each other through the grief resulting from the death of Persephone. Lady Helin told them herself of the discovery of Persephone's body on the last day of the war.
Jade and her father deeply appreciated Lady Helin taking the time to personally inform them, and to offer her condolences. It was an unusual act of kindness considering the great burden of responsibility she had taken upon herself. As Grand Master of the Order, Lady Helin would lead her people away from the ruined planet to start afresh on a far away world.
On that horrific and fateful day, several months before arriving at the planet that they'd one day hopefully call 'home', The Holy Order of Mortis was nearly wiped out and the Church ceased to exist, with most of its members being killed by the final Blackguard war. But there was hope. One day, the Church could be rebuilt. With people like Jade and her father along for the journey from their homeworld, the vast lore and history of the Mortisite society would survive.

Persephone Swyft - Mother, deceased. Although Jade knows very little about her secretive mum, she did love her dearly, and she always felt the feeling was mutual. There was an odd distance between Jade's mother and father, although she could never understand why.
