Jas has excellent observational skills and is quite wise for his age. To accompany his wisdom and knack for observation, he rarely gives away any information himself and is always careful of who is nearby before speaking of anything. Physically however, while highly agile and quick, he is physically weaker than most humans are.
Others find him to generally be an uncomfortable person to be around, as he is always watching but never really participating in most conversations. He is extremely careful of whom he chooses to become friends with and he's always worried that others could judge him if they knew him.

PERSONALITY:
Jas is a very secretive hopeful. From the time he was granted entrance into the temple as a youngling at the age of six, to even current age he shares the bare minimum that is required of him. This secretive can lead to him being somewhat..isolated from the rest of the Order, who might view this secrecy as a step toward the Dark Side.
Despite his own secrecy, he is a very curious individual. He has a need to learn almost everything about everyone around them as he finds safety in knowledge. In training duels between himself and other hopefuls, he often displays a tendency to try and catch his opponent unaware. If he's incapable of this though, he shows a very aggressive form of combat ripe with feints and acrobatic movements.
HISTORY:
Jas was born on the world of Coruscant to a poor family down on the lower levels of the planet spanning city. Life was hard for him down in the lower levels, as crime in these areas was high even by city standards. His mother owned a cantina that both of his parents worked at. When Jas was four, a drunken bounty hunter entered the cantina and shot and killed his father when he refused the bounty hunter more drinks.
After this, life became harder for his family as his mother had to work night and day to support Jas and his two brothers. By the time he was six, he was always having to watch out for his things. Being the youngest of the three kids, he was often victomized for the rare items he could find that were discarded. Often they were taken and sold by his two siblings so they could get what they wanted.
It was because of these constant thefts that he quickly became secretive. Hiding anything he would find and never revealing more than he needed to, this trait would carry with him throughout the years. Nearing his seventh birthday however, he displayed a certain amount of force sensitivity when one of his brothers had found a stash of his things. As the boy pranced about the cantina with Jas' hard-earned toys, Jas instinctively knocked his brother against the wall with the Force, incidentally breaking his brother's arm.
While his brother was horrified by what had happened, his mother instead saw an opportunity for Jas and quickly contacted the Jedi, who arrived and after a brief meeting, took Jas to the temple. Entering the temple was an incredible experience for the young force sensitive, both because of the unthinkable sights he was to experience but also because of the knowledge that life was to become much easier for him.
