Amaarla is a tall, athletically built togruta female who, even among her own people, has an exotic appearance. With well defined curves and muscles, she is strong and agile from decades of training as a Jedi. Though physically fit, she often relies on speed and flexibility over brute force. However, she is capable enough. With her training, consistant healthy maintaining of her body and mind, Amaarla is gifted with good physical fortitude. Determined, but sometimes soft spoken, Amaarla is not the most charismatic Jedi, but she often has some piece of wisdom and insight to offer peers and students alike.

Amaarla is soft spoken around those that she does not know very well, but to those that she does know she is a warm individual, if not a little stern especially when it comes to instructing apprentices. Being a Jedi is the most important thing to her and this is a virtue she tries to instill in those around her. She does not enjoy the taking of life and sometimes this will cause a moment of hesitation before taking such an action, fearful of the kind of places enjoyment of such things can lead to. Amaarla feels things strongly and strives each day to keep those emotions in balance.
Background
Amaarla was born to a forest clan on Shili. She has few memories of her homeworld as she left it at an early age. A Jedi Knight had been wounded, found by her clan and helped back to health by them. It was in this time that the Jedi had taken notice of the dark skinned little girl. After getting to know Amaarla and her family, it was agreed for her to be taken to the Jedi. It was from that very young age that she began her journey as a Jedi.
Amaarla was amiable towards those around her, but it was Cassus Lammerai that became her first, close friend. While they had many things in common, they had opposing things about them that seemed to only seal their bond of friendship into something stronger. He was a few years younger than her, but that did not matter to her in the least. After they went on their first mission together as apprentices, it became a regular occurance as the two Jedi seemed to work together almost naturally and would continue their training together under the same Master.
Training was difficult over the years, with different challenges as Amaarla had to learn to face such things as the pain of losing those one cares about, the inability to save every person and fix every problem and how to deal with the concequences of bad choices. Amaarla would be 20 years of age when she was finally promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight and it would be another three years before she decided that she was prepared to take on an apprentice.
