"The Alsakans have fled since the Republic retaliation at Coruscant, they cannot demand that world any longer, it is in Republic control," Cade added, "but I reiterate, our 'drive for peace' will be seen by the galaxy at large, and indeed both the republic and the union, as more Jedi inaction; more time we deliberate and talk when they both feel steps should be taken to win the war, for either side. I do not want war to come upon the Jedi as a whole, which is why I suggested we enter it on our terms, before we are forced to enter it on somebody else's. I would rather risk my life, and lead willing Jedi to fight to end the war on the side of the republic, than wait and risk younglings and padawans drawn into it, and the possible defamation of the entire order in the eyes of the republic; our usualy natural ally. That is my main worry whilst we still wait to commit ourselves to either side."

He paused a second to allow his words to resound around the chamber, before continuing, "well, that and these so-called 'faithless Jedi'. We do not know what they are doing, but they have split from us and in more of their members we know that there lurks the influence of the dark side. They have strong links with the republic, and if we do not act soon, then they will welcomed to the Republic's side, after all the strength of the Tanoor bond is great, and I feel they will have no qualms about aiding the Republic in battle. If that happens we will be forced to either fend for ourselves, or aid the Alsakans, as they will not want a treayty with us, being natural enemies, and if a peace treaty is to be brokered, they will act with the republic when they do consolidate their link. Speed is of the essence, so if you do wish to continue working for peace, do it quickly."

"I agree that action must be taken but we must remember here that it is our duty to find peace before we are forced to arms....Entering a war on our terms is in my eyes a simplification of our duty. We must try and sue for peace on the republic's side because that is our duty, our overall goal is to the force and peace but the best chance of a unified force with a galaxy at peace is for the republic to be at peace....A swift war is still a war where people die."

Dewbecca waited, looking out of his nearby window thinking on the galaxy as a whole, the wide open spaces and vast amount of planets and resources and still people fought tooth and nail for such things.

"We will talk to the republic, Master Tian has already spoken to the Alsakans with there wish of peace, we must bring these two powers together, bring peace. Inaction has been strife in this order before and it will not happen again as long as I am on this council. As for these faithles, the ones who left the order....Well we will talk of them when our action on the Republic is agreed to by all but the order as a whole and the Republic will need to be told that our crusade for peace is not a sign of weakness for what may need to be done, if there is a one in a million chance that peace can come rather then war it is our duty to do so."

''If peace cannot be brokered with the gentle way, then i see no other option than a crusade. Some of us more talented in the oratory arts could still act as advisors towards peace, but i can see no way of solving this without at least a little blood on our own hands. But i see the reason to not jump straight to war.'' Huang said, resting his hand on the armrest of the chair, his yellow eyes staring at the ground. If it came to war, he would be the first to raise arms.

"After speaking with the Alsakan general, it will be difficult to have them agree to peace unless Coruscant is involved." Tían spoke regarding the Alsakan conflict; he could leave the traitor discussion alone for the meanwhile. "Even if they have lost their hold of it, the general Van Tien wants it for some unknown reason. He claims it is to benefit the galaxy and the Republic by "fixing" the pollution. I feel that there are ulterior motives that have not yet been revealed. When I spoke with the general, it seemed as if he would not make a treaty unless Coruscant would be handed over to the Alsakan government. I also know that the Republic aren't going to give back what they fought and died in order to retake.

"Either route we take in this conflict is dangerous." At the moment the Jedi was speak of both the Alsakans and the traitor Jedi. "If we try to follow diplomacy we will face to problems: neither side will want to agree to each other's terms, and one side may try to take us out of the picture and attack us. However, if we fight alongside with the Republic now in a preemptive action to avoid being caught off guard, we could ruin a possible peaceful resolution. The worst outcomes of either scenario is war and death. I personally suggest we take the route that prolongs and death within our order."

Dewbecca listened to Master Tian with rapt attention until he finished, He paused for a moment letting his fellow masters words go though his head, thinking them over and finding the wisdom behind them before continuing.

"True, the talk with the Republic must be handled very delicately. We are just as much at risk as everyone else in this galaxy possibly even more but then a jedi's life is always dangerous.....Are we agreed on our course of action with the Republic, to give them our support and help them along with the peace process anyway we can? "

''I agree, although if this fails, we should revert to our most simple function. To protect the peace no matter what.'' Master Karasu replied.

Dewbecca nodded before he continued on, there was a most important thing that also needed discussing within the council.

"Now, we must decide what we will do about these jedi who have exiled themselves from the order"

"We need to find more of them, I have found my fair share of them scattered across the galaxy. They have organized. I believe they plan to ally with the Alsakans or the Republic. either way bodes ill for the Jedi order. Many have thrown aside the Jedi code and now act on emotion, not upon their teachings, but I have only found younglings, very few of the knights and masters that left have come out of hiding." It was true that Colm had been able to find many of them, but the ones he found were padawans and younglings that were no real threat.

''My instinct tells me that the exiles will try to side with the republic. One of their higher members is related to the chancellor herself. That is a tough bond to fight. I myself have of course been preoccupied with tràkata to go searching for exiles, but i would say that they would surely form their own leading group, for they would likely be used to such an idea, and want an heir of continuity.'' Huang Karasu mused. He let his statements hang in the air.

"I agree in the sense that we need more information on these exile, but what do we believe is a prudent course of action to take against these people? On the one hand they have simply become disillusioned from the order and have sort a different part, but then one the other foot they are traitors.....A problem for us I feel"

Dewbecca let his words hang in the air for a moment, his translation droid was able to be manipulated by the force, prodding certain circuits to allow for the more natural language of the galaxy to come out as it should be...

''If we go searching for information, we will be noticed. Jedi are hardly inconspicuous, Grandmaster.'' Huang replied. ''But i have an idea...'' He said, a small smile on his face. ''Why not train some of those without the force, or at least hire them, to track and gather information on the exiles? We would have ultimate deniability, and they are less likely to get noticed.''

Ooc: I forgot about this, sorry.

"Hmmm, a slightly seedy idea but times call for measures such as these, can I trust you Master Huang to take care of this? To find us Mercenaries who can find these missing jedi and give us reports. It saddens me that we are forced to do this but turning a blind eye is far more dangerous."

OOC: Now just to get the others...

''I can of course take care of this, Grandmaster. I have many contacts to draw mercenaries from. The exiles won't know we even care about their existance.'' He sat back slightly in his chair, glad that his first, and highly unothodox proposal had gone down well with the Grandmaster.

"Now, I believe we have addressed all the issues that I wished to bring up in the council chamber, are there any that the other masters wish to bring to discussion"

Dewbecca was pleased so far with the meeting, he felt he handled himself well and indeed was proud of how he and the other jedi has behaved, talked to each other and discussed these pivotal issues.

"I think we may be done here." Colm placed his arms on the chair arms and Raised himself up. He didn't know if he was to be dismissed or if he could leave when he wished. So, he just stood there and craned his neck to look at Master Dewbecca.

Cade had been quiet in his contemplation until now, but as Dewbecca moved to close the meeting he cleared his throat and spoke, "Are you sure that's a wise idea? If captured we commit them to a greater hell than any of us would hope to have to endure. We all know the capabilities of the dark side of the force; those without its control, unless properly trained in advanced mental exercises, beyond the average grunt, can be bent to the will of a Jedi, or these so called faithless. If we need to gather information, then perhaps we should teach Jedi how to be spies; a knight or master could feign a defection and feed us information, or we could train a Jedi, as I have learned, to conceal our prescence in the force. It is not as difficult as many expect it to be. Even if found they can pretend to be a hired detective, rather than Jedi and their lack of force signature will prove that. But mere mercenaries? We would be sending them to slaughter."

Dewbecca smiled and sat back down on his seat.

"I guess we are not finished"

He said this with a warm smile before sitting down, he crossed his legs bringing his finger to the tip of his mouth, thinking deeply before he spoke.

"And that is what mercenaries are trained to do, I think you are underestimating the power of non force users and over estimating the power of force users. Jedi are no different from the people of this galaxy, if a well trained mercenary with a sharp mind can fall into problems with mental manipulation then a jedi can to. The fact is that if we risk jedi in such an operation all we are doing is risking those jedi to bolster the ranks of these faithless whereas mercenaries do not, they are trained for such missions whereas jedi are not."
