Nice to see you're making threads, mate, but this should be in the "Star Wars Saga" section. :-)

You can go dark side or light side in The Force Unleashed too, but that's not until the last mission.

You get a different boss fight, a different ending, and a different costume.

In my opinion The Force Unleashed sucked big time. It just got repetative and boring on the Wii.

Force Unleashed had a much better story then Jedi Academy IMO. It also had better force using controls, to an extent. But it still overall felt like a Star Wars version of God of War.

Jedi Academy had better Lightsaber customization and combat.

You cannot compete with the three engines - Euphoria, DMI, and Havok - teamed up.

Ahhh well there's your problem right there. Try running it on a real gaming platform next time, like the 360.

Yahtzee had the same problem. He complained he bought it on the Wii in the interview.

Jedi Academy:

Pros:
1. Longer, better story

2. Awesome saber system, topped only by JK2

3. Adequate force system, good range of powers

4. Amazing modding community

5. Good difficulty

6. Good amount of saber styles. (blue, yellow, red, staff, dual, one-handed blue)

7. Cool cheats and console commands that are fun to goof around with

Cons:

1. Bad graphics

2. Base JKA (no mods) multiplayer is stale

Force Unleashed:

Pros:

1. Unlimited Power (Force isn't limited very much, and is very open)

2. Good storyline

Cons:

1. Unlimited Power (Difficulty is almost nonexistant)

2. Enemies are force-resistant (Non-canon, nullifies all your sexy power)

3. No multiplayer (It wouldn't work very well anyway, but in comparison to JKA...)

4. Not an impressive modding database (at all *wink wink*)

5. Ridiculously shallow saber fighting

6. Unlikable characters (Naive main, drunk idiot, typical closed-minded morality figure)

7 pros 2 cons in opposition to 2 pros 6 cons. Yeah JKA is infinitely better in many many ways. :CHappy:

I'm actually a big fan of both. I don't think you gave TFU justice. I'll add a few pros for TFU that you forgot.

3. Gorgeous environments, graphics, and physics engine
4. Nice level-up systems (In comparison to JK)
5. Great AI
6. Nice quality cutscenes
7. Bosses/minibosses are very much fun IMO.

An extra con: It's short.

Oh yeah, the graphics and physics were nice, but the environments were already georgeous-ized by movies etc.

The level-up systems might have been good, but they were nullified because as you levelled up, enemies became immune to your unlocks. Plus, it wasn't that good of a level up.

Great AI? No, I think it's close enough to JKA's AI that it shouldn't be a point

EVERYTHING HAS NICE QUALITY CUTSCENES. Have you seen the JKA out-of-engine cutscenes? Damn, they're nice. It's always the in-engine cutscenes that aren't nice quality, and I've mentioned the graphics in JKA cons.

Bosses/minibosses weren't fun at all. It always had a simple, boring trick to take them down, the difficulty was still non-existant, and the button sequence cutscenes are never fun. The Vader fight was SOOOO BOOORRRINNNGGG, even compared to the other ones. IMO doesn't count as pro/con, as IMO you're wrong.

You're entitled to your opinion, just like I'm entitled to laugh at you because it's wrong and you're still holding on to it.
