Fever Dreams
"I don't know, Fluffy. There's something wrong. Master Haven's warned me about feelings like these. I may not have the foresight of a jedi master, but I know it's a disturbance in the force... I don't like this, boy." She stood out on the ledge, looking over the ecuminopolis that was coruscant, petting the Gizka under the chin, and venting her concerns. Her face got long as she gazed out as far as her eye could see once more.
Before The Council
Before the council she stood, her master back on tython, sure to be enjoying the break from her padawan despite their bonds. She'd only been in front of the council once twice before, once before she was padawan Misha, and she was Misha Ivanovna, and the other time was with Haven. This time she stood before them, representing herself. She made damn sure to be on her best behaviour.
"Before the council you stand, padawan. The republic has requested the aid of the Jedi. There has been a murder, possibly an assassination of two diplomats on the planet, alderaan. The murders were believed to be conducted using a lightsaber, whether or not the user was a force user was not determined.
We present this to you for we believe you to be best fitted for the task of tracking down the murderer. You will be accompanying a republic S.O.L.A.G. member in this task of tracking down and bringing this, murderer, to justice." The master spoke to Misha with a soothing voice. He knew something she didn't, he wasn't telling her something and Misha knew it. It was a test maybe, a trial.
Misha curtsied before the council, "Yes master, thank you master jedi."
At this, almost on Que, entered into the room a man. He was dressed in a republic officer's unifrom, his coal-black hair hung in his face a little, barely covering his frosty blue eyes. Misha could tell he wasn't one for spiffy looks, but his scarred skin told her he was definitely a very experienced man.
"This is Gamble, your partner on this investigation. You will be by his side and he, by yours. Young padawan, do be mindful of your emotions. Remember the Jedi code, for what you may find may be too much for you."
"Yes master, thank you master jedi."
She wanted to ask what he meant, but she would just call patience and find out for herself. Turning to Gamble she curtsied one last time extending a hand to shake. And began for the exit.
