This mission was different, Killeth was asigned a top secret mission. One more thing was the fact it was priority alpha. The missions he was used to were more open. He could pretty much do anything to acheive the goal. This mission, labeled Judgement Day, had so many rules. He had no squad, he could not talk about the mission, and he doesn't even know his partner yet.

"Time of arrival is 10 minutes, sir." Said the pilot.

Killeth thought about the mission that was kept hush-hush. All he knew was there was a research facility and contactr with it was lost. It was supposedly working on some artificial intellegence technolgy. He knew little about that stuff, though it seemed dangerous to him.

The ship gently landed at the rendevous point, several miles from the target facility. Here he was to meet his partner and then travel to the facility in a silent manner. He did not immediatly see the mystery partner, only the long green plane that was flanked by mountains. It was peaceful, rural areas are often like that. Killeth had a feeling the peace would soon be turned into something worst. He always felt like that before a mission, so he instinctly ignored it, assuming it was nerves.

"Still in shape after twenty years of this." The fifty year old woman felt young as she finished suiting up before rendezvous. First layer was a tight fitting, electrically charged jumpsuit. It was designed for special forces so they could stop a few bullets if need be. Second layer was standard combat fatigues, full black and blue. Lastly she slid a helmet on, she had all the latest and greatest in combat tech, and she'd earned it.

They touched down with the side hatch open. She hopped down from the hatch as soon as it was low enough and she walked over to her obvious partner. "I am Major Abele Hallen." She returned a salute, the man before her was of lower rank, then removed her helmet. She looked at the name sewn into the breast pocket of his fatigues, "Sergeant Frimelda, glad you're here with me. Your family has a good reputation in the republic military."

"Indeed, intel has kept me in the dark, I need to know what happened in there." She hadn't really been told much about the mission, she assumed her counterpart had been informed.

I know as much as you do. The facility has gone silent, I guess we are the ones to determine the cause and fix the problem. I say we sneak in as quiet as possible and proceed from there. If that is alright with you.

"Lets get moving then. I'd like to get in and out ASAP." She pointed at the ship opposite hers and asked, "That's the one we're taking?" Her own ship was eager to leave, the pilot was only assigned drop off and obviously didn't want to stay. She remembered this and waved him off, all of her gear was on her already.

Yea, I don't wish to drag this out either. I am all suited up and ready, so let's move out. He said as he headed toward the ship that would bring them to the actual facility.

((OOC: Lets get this partay started people!))

The facility remained quiet, as the two Republicans drew ever closer. Deathly quiet.

Originally, the facility had been for repurposing stolen Hutt droid technology. As time passed, it had become it's own, independant facility. The cause of the silence was... unknown. Guesswork was as close as anyone was likely to get. At this stage at least.

Dark, foreboding and... eerily quiet. Nothing was moving, not a sound was made. It was like the facility had simply been abandoned. If only.

They'd landed a quarter of a mile form the facility and traveled the rest of the way on foot. "She spoke quietly or used hand signals to communicate her orders. Abele was first under the fence and into the facility. After she was into cover she waved her comrade over. No signs of life, it was a simple set of signs to communicate. Something had obviously been up, it was too quiet.

Killeth followed the women closly, following her leads and signals. They remained dead silent, as the area was silent as well. If they made any noise at all, it may alert the guards. He stayed low and quiet as the reached an enterance and made their way inside.

Still no sound aside from the wind, at least it sounded like wind. It was so very quiet that Abele signed that they silence their weapons. As she finished attaching the short suppressor onto the barrel of her rifle, she heard the sound that immediately made her tense up. It was the unmistakable sound of footsteps. She raised her hand from her cover and gave the signal. The real mission had just begun.

As soon as the quiet noise had reached Abelle it abruptly faded away. The facility looked... abandoned. Dirty, dusty and poorly maintained. Either abandoned... or home to someone who cared little for hygiene.

Everywhere, the building was filthy, but in perffect condition. Everything seemed to be working quietly and efficiently. Something of a paradox.

The pair of Republicans would find little out of the ordinary as they made their way through the compound. No signs of life, but still all perfectly functional. Strange, and unnerving.

The goal of both soldiers was to reach the central command room, where hopefully the cause of the silence and seeming abandonment would be explained.

'Nothing', They kept moving. Eventually she broke the silence, "I really don't think anything is here." She spoke in a low tone so her voice wouldn't carry but was audible.

They began moving at a faster pace, stopping to examine the facility for signs of anything. Other than some grit and poorly kept facilities the place ran well. She'd seen a few facilities like this in her lifetime. But every answer was different, these situations were delicate and she hoped her partner understood as well as she did.

"We're close." She said before she peeked a corner that lead to the central command room.

Killeth thought heavily as his partner said there was nothing. It seemed that way, but their had to be some clue. Everyone in a large facility doesnt dissapear like this. There was no blood or bodies to indicate a battle or mass murder. There was also nothing broken or at of place. It made no sense.

Here is the command room, our objective. He whispered as he crouched by the entrence. He slowly opened and examined the room and door. It was not trapped as he had half expected. He got into the room and searched around. Still nothing. Everything was fine, except for the large amount of dust and dirt.

"Check the computers. See if anything happened, I'm gonna keep looking around." She slipped an earpiece on and stepped out, "I'm on the radio."

Outside she walked upright, her steps making no sound as she casually walked through the halls. She didn't travel far before stopping. There she pulled out a small scanning device. "Lets see if you pick anything up," She whispered before flipping a side switch and rubbing it against one of the walls. It would pick up residue from a number of things, one of which was if there had been any conventional firearms used. It would pick up leftovers from them. Some species of alien also left traces that would be flagged by it. She could look up other information from it's scan but it would make the most notable traced known.

((OOC: Was waiting for Galykia to get into the computers, but ok! :D))

Abele's device chirped quietly, as it looked for signs of a number of things. Eventually, the small device informed the soldier of a number of interesting things; there had been firearm discharges, at roughly the same time that the facility had fallen silent. It also noted that the dirt and dust was not normal dirt...

Other than that, it found little else to inform Abele of.

Meanwhile, Killeths searches proved fruitless. There was nothing in the room save the unusually high levels of dirt, and the gently glowing terminals and computers. Perhaps the answers to the mystery were locked away inside?
