Name: Kaern "The Mute" Muto
Species: near-human (echani/human)
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Skin: pale-caucasian
Hair: darker silver, short and combed back.
Eyes: Dark-Hazel
Faction: Kjlljk Protectorate
Biography: Kaern was orphaned at a young age during warring times on his homeworld of Ringo Vinda between Jedi and Sith. His parents had both been on opposite sides of the war with his mother being a Jedi and his father a simple footsoldier. His mother Jaina had spared his father, Kail, and sensing his force ability even wanted to take him under his wing as a pseudo apprentice. But falling in love put a kink in the already uncanny plan. They had to find themselves abandoning their causes that neither had found much of a purpose or end in sight fighting for. Jaina was not allowed to love and would be separated from Kail, who would be deemed a traitor now by the Sith Empire. Seeing they had little choice, Kail and Jaina fled the war zone.
Making their way through nearby abandoned villages, the two got new clothing and food for longer trips. Soon the warriors turned lovers journeyed further and further away until reaching a small city they were certain was far enough from the war. Their the two had Kaern as a son, and raised him peacefully and lovingly to seven when the war finally did find its way to their doorstep.
The small city quickly found its buildings becoming barracks, and its civilians becoming casualties as the shelling began on both sides. Jaina and Kail were quick to find their old battle gear, suiting up to protect their child and get out of the city. However, the two were not quick enough as a shell was pushed aside by a commanding Sith, redirected it from his troops and into their building, bringing it crumbling down.
Getting up through the smoke and debris, Kaern watched as his mouth tried desperately through tear-filled eyes to pull his father out of the rubble. She almost just accepted fate as a Sith approached her from behind, but in sudden anger she screamed as she turned to fight the man. Despite her burst of power and fury, her emotions were untrained. Finally slipping up, the Sith managed to stab her abdomen to stop her attacks. Thinking she was defeated with a sneer, he turned away, only to find his arm suddenly crushed by the force. Jaina had mustered her willpower to kill the man. Intending for his windpipe, but too weak to concentrate from her fatal wound she managed to to crush his arm with her last strike.
It was this injured Sith that found Kaern hiding and watching, and felt his force sensibility. He took Kaern to be his own apprentice, not even knowing the boy was this woman jedi's son. Kaern did not fight, because then and there at the age of seven he already had revenge hardened in his mind. He would be a loyal apprentice, though the boy was still heavily beaten for any subpar performances as his training and missions increased over the years. The constant envelopment of sith study and severe training continued until he was sixteen. This is when Kaern finally killed his master in his sleep, slicing his limbs off first to make sure the man, the brutal murderer of his mother, felt an agonizing death before ending him. Kaern gave no monologue, no reveal to his identity, only finishing the kill he had plotted nine years before. Donning makeshift armor, Kaern was quick to escape, and soon became a bounty hunter for simplicity's sake, considering his abilities and lack of any other experience. He had no purpose anymore, he had claimed the life of his mother's murderer, and his only other hatred was something he could not fight: war.
Kaern would take any job without care for his own life (though he still has enough hatred for Sith to kill them without needing a contract to do so, which was a rare event to happen), deciding he would do so until his life was finally taken. Doing so, the bounty hunter became famous as "The Mute" to a decent portion of the galaxy for his emotionless exterior, ruthless success rate, and odd rarity to speak, though he has no disability to.
However, his life surprisingly changed as soon as his early twenties when Kaern met for the possibility of a job among an upcoming faction geared towards creating a strong faction among the dwellers of the Outer Rim. Though the Ossein Khanate, as it would be called, did quickly crumble into inexistance, Kaern would becoming associated with a woman whom he could oddly connect with much more than the bounty hunter ever really expected. And to think it all started with a fight.
The woman that Kaern stuck with after the fall of the Khanate was a dathomiri witch named Kae'Tl. She herself was an ex-sith, though for reasons not really similar to his own. However, both did know one thing: they held no love for sith or jedi. Almost in the spirit of the Khanate, instead of secluding themselves from the galaxy like many force users would after their abandonment of their respective order, the now-lovers decided that their was a necessity for another option for those who wielded the power of the Force, as well as the generations that would follow. Kae'tl and Kaern would contribute to that next generation themselves when the woman gave birth to their now four-year-old daughter. The only thing more important to Kaern than himself and the Kjlljk Protectorate, are them.

Abilities: strong force power (though not completely refined, Kaern continues training himself, and now has a partner in his lover to continue growth of their strengths together without masters or teachers), very heightened senses and physical ability, fast and strong. Can force choke, but not force lightning. Very precise in combat, both close and long range. Ever since the development of the Protectorate, Kaern has been able to worth with many other force users, diversifying his skills as well as becoming much more focused with the powers he already possessed. With many trainings from ex-jedi, Kaern is even more focused and precise than before.
Despite becoming much more connected with the force over the years since he had left bounty hunting and found a reason for his life in a new family and purposeful faction, Kaern has not discarded his bounty hunting gear nor his use of streetsmart tactics and less 'noble' weapons than the lightsaber. His combat style is a mix of gadget uses and lightsaber swordfighting, and Kaern's marksmanship from long range has only improved over the years.

Equipment: Bounty hunter gear (detection and tracking gear, spacesuit, gear in picture, etc.)
Marksman Rifle
Pistol (as seen in picture)
Pet Akk Dog "Volr" (Voller). Though Volr is well trained for combat, he is rarely brought along on Kaern's missions, left behind for missions where Kaern would be wary of the dog's survival. Despite Kaern seeming emotionally detached from about every being but his partner and daughter, Volr was pretty much his only company he had for years prior to meeting Kae'Tl. It would hurt Kaern further to lose this companion. These days Volr is more so a pet, and is incredibly affectionate towards his master's daughter, and even more protective.
Thermal detonators, wristrockets, and electrified bolas that Kaern guides with a mix of the force and his helmet's tracking systems.
Trip mines and other various traps.
Red lightsaber that Kaern had not used for some time in combat after he killed his master. He will only use it if he is sincerely in danger of dying from a challenger. This does not mean he is rusty with it however, as he trains with the blade every day as well as the Force. He has begun sparring with others as well more regularly, typically Kae'Tl but sometimes with others in the Protectorate to hone his skills once more.
