When they say that this planet is colder than Hoth, they aren't joking. The sky and air around them for the moment was calm but the temperature was something that Sakiharu found very...annoying. Wearing a set of winter clothes of white to match with the snow on the ground, as well as the air around them, he floated a meter above the ground, appearing to be standing in mid-air. He was suppose to be fighting Khavaal today...which in a way, Sakiharu was looking forward to. The only thing he wasn't looking forward to was that there were battle droids.

'Not the ideal icon of a match,' he thought to himself, his arms crossed in front of him, his lightsaber in his right sleeve so that he could simply draw it out in case of anything, which he most certainly would be drawing it some time soon. While waiting for his enemy, he went over what information he had of him. Most recently, at least from what he knew, he had a change of physical appearance, quite literately physical appearance. From the time Sakiharu had seen him last, he was a heap of old flesh. Now he was in a body of some...guy. Sakiharu cared not for that much detail in his enemies. He liked it, just not the useless detail. Looking about as he waited, the winter clothes keeping him warm from the elements, he wondered when the battle droids and Khavaal would be here.

Clothed in only a black fabric made from some leathery substance, Khavaal seemed somewhat unfazed by the cold. Despite the frozen wastland around him, Khavaal seemed somewhat...comfortable, even. Perhaps it had something to do with the air around him shimmering, exuding a great steam as he superheated the air around him.

Khavaal completely ignored the battle droids, his eyes set and focused on the Sith Knight before him with malicious intent. This conflict would be swift, Khavaal was sure of it. The time for restraint was over, and this fool would soon learn that his Forces senses would no longer aid him in this battle. Khavaal was ready, though he drew no saber nor tapped into the invisible sources of power that he alone could sense. He beckoned for the Sith Knight to attacked, grinning as he did so. Yes, the impetuous Sith Knight would soon learn much indeed.

Sakiharu finally found the figure of Khavaal seeing mist seem to come from around him as he appeared to be heating the air. That was not going to be helpful for him because no matter how much he heated it up, it was still condinsation and was going to get heavy enough to fall back to the ground, become snow again or go far away enough to become snow. In either case, the ground he stood would beginning sinking because everything they stood on was just snow. The main ground itself would be quite a bit below his feet. That leathery material was not going to help against the cold unlike Sakiharu's clothing which kept him warm even out here. So of the choices Sakiharu would make over the situation. Heating up or warm clothing? Warm clothing for him because with heating up the air, it has many more side effects than you would think.

Watching Khavaal silently, he saw him seem to want him to come and attack him. Sakiharu just smirked. 'He either thinks I'm a fool and underestimates me or overestimates himself,' he thought to himself within the private doors of his mind, watching as the droids were numbered in the many dozens. Considering the two's strength, there was a lot more droids than normal for any one battle. Place, their metal perfected fitted with the surroundings, making them harder to see with normal eyesight. Sakiharu had no problem with the Force. Watching Khavaal, Sakiharu just floated there as the droids were drawing guns, some pointing them toward Sakiharu and some pointing toward Khavaal. There was most likely a lot more than what they could see right now.

The droids were strange in another respect - they seemed to all be installed with individual intelligence processors, and not rooted to one commanding unit. While it was useful for the droids to think independantly, their reaction time was more sluggish due to the terabytes of additional artificial intelligence in their systems.

One droid flicked out a vibroblade from a wrist, lunging at Khavaal with the deadly weapon. Khavaal, however, moved quickly and decisively, moving back as the blade cut the air where he once had been, then grabbing the unit's head. The droid swiveled, attempting to re-engage it's enemy, but Khavaal simply twisted his wrist, ripping the head-section of the unt off. Without it's motion sensors, the unit still ran, but it was now blind save for a pathetic set of secondary sensors.

Khavaal suddenly thrust his hand out, calling something that he had apparently placed previously. A black lightsaber hilt flew out from beneath the snow, activating as it flew through the air, slicing the droid through the midsection before coming to rest n the Sith's hand, which quickly activated the weapon.

As the droid clattered to the ground, it emitted a beeping noise, and the surrounding droids in the area suddenly awoke to the death throes of one of their comrades. Emitting messages in binary of their own, the droids suddenly came to life, firing blasters at all life-forms withinthe target radius while avoiding shooting thir comrades.

Khavaal smiled, leaping and flipping through the area with surprising agility as he dodged the blasts, though he still did not make a move against his opponent. This would probably be construed as showing off. Whether Khavaal had this planned or whether it was to do with his own personality and ego was yet to be determined. How his oppoent percieved the threat, however, was all that was important...

Sakiharu was noticing a change in their movements, as if they were adapting to the situation that had just happened. If that was the case, Sakiharu wondered how much they can adapt to the combat they're in. If it's a weak one, there wasn't much to worry about. But if they could adapt to almost any situation they get into within their programming, this could get a little annoying on Sakiharu's part.

Narrowing his eyes, he watched as the blaster shots began flying. His eyes suddenly shot open as all blaster shots that were aimed toward him just flew, missing by a mere inch. They all did so as one by one, the shots went by without getting any closer to Sakiharu, his eyes following Khavaal's movements. Sakiharu wasn't a fool. He wouldn't attack something carelessly that he knows next to nothing about.

"Cantina tricks will help you little, young one, the voice mocked inside of the Sith Knight's skull, vibrating and bouncing through all conscious thought of the Knight. Injecting a message like that was simple, really - it wasn't of any harm and it was difficult to prevent from happening, due to the simple docility of it. Still, the fact that one had words that were not his or her own now bouncing around in their head tended to at least rattle them a little. But that had nothing to do with why Khavaal was doing this, no...the Sith simply wanted to tell the young Knight what he thought of him. With that objective completed, it was now on to the next one - and that was dealing with this upstart and moving on to the next round.

It occured to Khavaal that the Knight was waiting for him to make the first move - 'The fool believes that by being on the defensive, he can read my maneuvres and put together a counter. But one does not win a Grand Tournament by blocking and evading. One must dominate the battle, beat one's opponent so soundly that they have no choice but to surrender. And that is why he will not defeat me. Lesson One in the powers of the Children - sensing the powers of the Hidden Art is nigh impossible to those not attuned to it.'

Khavaal's hands shook and he heard a slight buzzing in his ears as he connected himself to a nearby source of power, allowing the raw latent Force energy channel itself through his very body, down his arms and to his very fingertips before releasing the amassed energy in a shockwave of near-absolute zero temperature air. Khavaal used the energy amassed in his hands to compact and suddenly cool the air warpping itself around his bare fingers, then released it out in front of him. The speed of the wave added to the temperature drop, resulting in a deadly wave of air, unable to be properly sensed by the Knight and near invisible in the weather.

Releasing the blast, Khavaal suddenly felt a sudden shock as a blaster bolt singed the hairs on his neck, missing vital blood vessels by inches. He grimaced, his saber coming to life to deflect any more blaster shots aimed his way.

(Near absolute zero? Hmm...sorry but to use it in this way is neither realistic nor even close to it, even in Star Wars. Absolute zero temperature is what you would call a state where nothing at all moves, where there is no energy. Think of a solid. It's atoms are closely packed together. There is energy in it, though very small. If the temperature becomes absolute zero, those atoms stop moving entirely, the only movement being within the atom itself. The temperature is impossible to get because it is a state of having no energy at all but inside of the atom. It's a bit like a machine can't be 100% effective. It's impossible. It just can't be done but it is possible to get close to absolute zero.

Plus, heat is attracted to cold and so, everything around something that is nearing absolute zero is going to be dropping down to the same temperature or near it. Khavaal would become frozen within less than a second if he was near something near absolute zero because it is that cold. And because the air around him was heated up some much that to get at absolute zero would take a while, not just mere seconds. There would also be very little air movement at all to speak of if at or near absolute zero. To create a shockwave while at absolute zero is not possible because when one is happening, you have an extreme increase in pressure, temperature and density, and to even start one requires a lot of energy, hence there is very little or no energy at all when near or at absolute zero.

Please don't think it's a waste of both of our times because it's not.)

OOC: Uhh...I used the force, boss.

Anywho, remember that the importance of the 'near'. Near is a generic term, it doesn't mean one degree from absolute zero, but it does mean bloody cold, much colder than even Alzoc III's climate. So...snap freeze temperatures, roughly. How's that grab you?

(Even the Force has to follow a set of natural rules. And speaking of it now that I think about it, I thought Khavaal was weak in the Force or at least at moderate level or was that for later on? What he did was rather beyond that of even a Master or Lord's level.

As for near, could you be a little more precise if you can? I otherwise get snappy as you can see. I was in a crappy mood yesterday so maybe it was just because of that >.>

{Maybe I shouldn't have gotten on at all if I was in that mood >.>}

And could you explain how Khavaal was affected by the temperature too just so that I don't get snappy again another day? >.>)

(OOC: Khavaal is weak to the Force that you're used to, but he's incredibly strong in the Hidden Art. The Force and the Hidden Art each have their own set of rules - one does not even need to be Force Sensitive to be able to use the Art, it's dependant on other factors, and whether one has been 'awakened' or tuned to see/manipulate the fields of energy it uses. That also goes somewhat towards explaining the fact that he can do what others cannot do with the 'traditional' Force, because it's not really the same. It shares many similarities, yes, but there are differences in crucial points.

Near is a generic term, basically meaning really, really cold, a lot colder than even Alzoc III's temperature We'll make an estimate and say it'd be like having a firehose of liquid nitrogen sprayed at you, so basically it's cold enough to burn you. The way he released the gathered energy wasn't 'through' his fingertips either, it's just simpler to say. More like he expelled the gathered energy for cooling air from his fingers, and only actually released the energy to do the cooling once it's about five centimetres away from his hands. Hope that helps.)

Essentially, yes. It was OK'd a couple years ago and has not been un-OK'd since. No more arguing in this thread, argue in PMs if you need to.

Sakiharu watched silently from his place in the air, using his Force Sight the entire time for the moment as he also wanted to use it for the rest of the match. He could see the Force energy in the air being channeled and with raised eyebrows, he could feel the air around them getting slightly colder. 'What the hell is he doing?' The first time Khavaal spoke within his mind in this match, the brain activity affects of Sakiharu's brain more than dulled the effect of his voice, making little more than a normal talking voice.

That was the thing about the brain as it had some unexpected affects and some affects that Sakiharu had no control over at all, such as the extremely increased thoughts that make pretty much a natural mind shield against even Sith Lords and Jedi Masters. But if Khavaal knew about this, who knows. Sakiharu would find out some how by some action of his that he makes to give away that he knows about it. People always give things away and that's what Sakiharu was waiting for with Khavaal. Like Sakiharu once stated before: 'Enemies that show off should not be feared. It's those that don't should be feared.'

Both of their movements and actions give away the mind of the person and because Khavaal is acting the way he is, Sakiharu can predict slightly how he acts if only slightly. Though it might very well not help later on, it's still something. To a normal person, they would not be able to see the effects of what Khavaal is doing but with a Sith or Jedi who can use Force Sight, they can see the patterns and movements of the Force around them. Could Sakiharu see the attack or sense it without Force Sight? Most likely not but with it, it doesn't matter what Khavaal uses. As long as it uses the Force, he can see it with Force Sight.

Because of the temperature, the speed of the shookwave is slowed. Maybe not enough to really make a noticeable difference with some things but for Sakiharu, it was enough to escape the path of the shookwave by flying upward quickly once the attack was released. Sakiharu could feel the cold air and it was truely annoying. 'Khavaal's better with the Force than I thought. That was a bit close,' noted Sakiharu in his thoughts.

A split second after evading, Sakiharu flew toward he ground as fast as possible, just a passing object to the eyes as he ignited his lightsaber instantly after drawing it with his right hand, mere inches away from Khavaal from behind, using a Djem So downward strike with both hands on the hilt to hit Khavaal while still hovering in the air, only a few inches above the ground. If Khavaal noticed Sakiharu's movement in the time he was attacked by a blaster shot, who knows. He was going to find out though.

With surprising agility and furious strength, Khavaal's feet moved quickly to the side as his already lit blade flashed up to deflect the blow, fighting fire with fire with his own knowledge of Shien, the partner form of Djem So.

Khavaal, however, also knew much on Makashi, and in particular, leverage. Manipulating his blade, Khavaal used the Sith Knight's own momentum against him, turning his block into a guide as he pushed the blade down to the ground where he had previously stood. At this close a range, Khavaal then released his right hand from the blade, closing his hand into a fist and jerking his elbow back to the Sith Knight's head.

If anything, Sakiharu's blood was pumping in his veins. He was actually enjoying this fight. He hasn't had such as fight for some time and it was rather nice. What wasn't nice though was the pain. He could feeling his lightsaber move down due to Khavaal's actions and from his block earlier. Sith Knights, at least some, were expected to know basic forms on sight and Khavaal at least knew Shien and Makashi. Well, if he knew those, Djem So and Makashi weren't going to get Sakiharu victory.

The elbow strike hit Sakiharu head-on but he wasn't sent back flying. Instead, he held his ground and within the instant that the hit was over, Khavaal's lightsaber flew to Sakiharu's left hand and gripped it tightly. He was able to stay on the ground by using the Force, forcing some energy from Khavaal's blow down his body and into the ground, making his feet and the snow stick together. At least it was some energy instead of all the energy. His head was pounding, yes, some blood came out of his mouth but he wasn't just going to stand there and get hit over and over again. Once grabbing the lightsaber, he used his legs and jumped upward and over Khavaal, using Ataru and slicing at Khavaal while jumping over him with both blades. If this attack didn't get Khavaal's head cut off, Sakiharu hoped he'd at least get a good hit on his arms or shoulders.

Khavaal grinned, thrusting his palms up into the sky, directly at the Sith Knight. Suddenly, a great pulse emitted forth as the elder Sith summoned his powers of the more orthodox force, pushing the Knight away before his blow could be landed. Such was the difficulty of aerial attacks - one had no anchor when one was airborne.

(Technically that was an auto-hit and could you explain more as to what you are doing? I'm not really sure if you just used energy or the air.)

Sakiharu could feel himself go away from him, not enough to really be a big deal, but it was enough to where he missed in his attack. Flipping in the air, he landed on his feet, both lightsabers in his hands. Sakiharu quickly took on a Sairento stance, the opening stance for that of two lightsabers, facing Khavaal. Ataru is useful but since he's in the air, there's no medium to hang off of to make sure he doesn't move. 'I could use my new ability but I still don't know how he would react to something like it,' he thought to himself, the sounds of blaster shots filling the air. They zipped passed Sakiharu like before, not hitting him at all as blaster shots also zipped toward Khavaal, intending to hit him.

OOC: Says he who just stole my saber from my hands. Btw, it's just a force push yo.

Khavaal casually batted the blaster bolts aside, not even bothering to direct them back at their targets. They would be more useful for Khavaal later on anyway - the Sith Knight, while he probably felt all flashy by redirecting the blaster bolts, would no doubt be tiring from doing so - there was a lot of energy to move around in those things.

Still, it was of little concern to him now. What was of concern was some lowly Sith Knight was defiling his lightsaber with the tainted hands of one who had not been awoken. And when it comes to Khavaal, one could do little else to infuriate him more.

Roaring in fury, Khavaal charged at the Knight, feinting a strike to his left before rolling away. He then leapt up into the air, brought his hands together, and unleashed a withering storm of lightning down on the Knight. Khavaal's connection to the orthodox Force may have been somewhat meager, but training and discipline still allowed him to dish out some deadly attacks, when need be.

(It was in your hands? It said in your post that you let go of it to elbow attack me.

Anyway...I'll post in the RP in the next while. Currently not a good time for me right now >.>)

Under normal situations, a Sith would have been tired long ago from making these shots pass by him without so much as coming into contact with him. But Sakiharu wasn't your normal Sith. With his ability of Psychokinesis, over a fifthed of his brain is being used, twice over that of normal brain activity and has given Sakiharu a few interesting things you don't normally get so easily with the Force. One of which is being able to move objects and to move so many at one time is very easy to him, requiring almost no energy at all to use. It's almost limitless to how long he could keep moving these blaster shots out of the way.

The sudden fury of Khavaal took Sakiharu a bit by surprise since he wasn't expecting him to be that angry. In any case, Sakiharu knew now was the time to use his new trick. Sakiharu moved away from the feint strike that Khavaal made quickly though it helped little. 'Damn it,' he thought to himself. As Khavaal flipped into the air, Sakiharu had to act now. Using Psychokinesis, he literatelly appeared to vanish in thin air and about two seconds later, the lightning hit the ground, throwing snow everywhere it hit.

Barely a second later went passed before a ball of energy was speeding toward Khavaal from behind, the Force Destruction ball sent by Sakiharu who now floated in the air just as Khavaal was in the air too. To use Psychokinesis in this way was to control the light particles. Light gives them their vision, to be able to see anything around them and what Sakiharu did was control how the light affect Khavaal's vision. Like becoming invisible in a way although considering that controling the light around Sakiharu's body would be a bit hard, Sakiharu controlled the light in front of Khavaal's eyes, making controling the light far simplier and easier.

...At this close a range, Khavaal then released his right hand from the blade...[/b]

OOC: Shien's a two-handed form, and I specified that I released only one hand. Just so you know.

Khavaal smirked as his opponent seemingly vanished into thin air. A neat trick, though against a Force Sensitive, quite useless. He corkscrewed around in mid-air as he sensed the imminant danger from behind, thrusting out his palm as the ball of energy shattered into an invisible wall about a foot away from Khavaal's hand. Energy from the impact also did not make it past this invisible shield, protecting Khavaal from the effects completely. Dropping down to the ground again, the armored Sith thrust his hand outwards as a fresh blade came to life from within the snow. How many blades were hidden beneath the white blanket, one could never know. With this fresh blade in hand, Khavaal leapt upwards again at the Sith Knight, slashing up at the Sith Knight's torso.

EDIT: Minor change, I suppose, but I forgot one crucial detail in it. Thanks for picking that up, yo. Would have been embarassing for you to be like, 'Uh you got no saber in hand. =dead'
